How We Level our LINTELS on the Roundhouse

Yeah, it's real broke. I mean, I didn't get burnt. What have we gotten ourselves into? I think we said that last time. Just jump. No. We had to start the bag over. So, we're going to need all the sleeps. [Music] It has been far too long since we worked on the roundhouse. The weather has really been throwing a wrench in our plans. It looks like it might rain later, but I think we're clear for now. So, we're just going to do a little bit, just little bits at a time. That's all we're focused on. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Well, we have another cool cloudy afternoon. So, we are going to keep working on the buttresses. So, we got a little short buttress and one that goes over. And well, actually, I don't know. We at least have one to do. And then we'll see if we need to go up another layer before we move to the next area of the house. [Music] Nowhere to put your body. No. [Music] So, we found when we are uh tamping up against these, it's good to have just a single cleat. I just have like one nail halfway in and one screw so that as we're tamping it, it doesn't like push it out of the way. And then we'll take this off when we go around to the next section. Well, we didn't anticipate the bag prop. Yeah, I think we could have been done if the bag hadn't worked. [Music] [Music] [Music] Although it doesn't look like it, fall is here, which means more workshops, more meet and greets, more events here at the homestead, and more work for us. But it's it's completely toast. So, it's just it's got these really sharp parts that are sticking up and the bag keeps getting caught on it. So, we're just we're going to have to be more vigilant about putting our buckets up every single night because if they get exposed to UV for any length of time, it seems like they get really brittle. I don't know. I feel like we put that up every single night and this one is like lasted the shortest amount of time. But Mike, I think maybe this bucket had been sitting out for a while. Those were new buckets. I thought one of them that we had had to grab from somewhere else. Oh, hold on. Okay. Do we know where the white bucket is? Cuz I don't have any more of those buckets. Yeah. We didn't have the blocks for the lentils. Our bucket broke. Our mixer broke. I was trying to fix the mixer a few minutes ago. That's not working either. We had to start the bag over. Let's go play with them. [Music] [Music] Okay, we have all the kittens here. We have Magpie, Hummingbird, Warbler, Ducky, and Sparrow that's about to fall off. So, let's set him down and play with him for a little bit. Okay. [Music] I'm a ducky spitting my hair. He's eating her hair. So, we're getting to the point where it's not fun anymore. They're getting crazy. Oh my gosh. They're good climbers. Yeah. Ow. It's in my ear. [Music] Come on, guys. We got to get off. Get off. [Music] These kittens are like 7 weeks old I think now and they are starting to eat like real kibble and not all soft food and we don't have to bottle feed them anymore and they're being really crazy now and getting lots of exercise but it's been really a fun journey. journey. I was like really nervous about Adelide doing this, but she's done such a good job. They're all healthy. They'll be getting fixed in the near future and then they can go explore. But for now, we just keep them in here and play with them as much as we can. We want them to be as friendly as possible. These are already way friendlier than any other kittens that we've had and way crazier. [Music] How many bridges this [Music] adorable? I really like my feet, huh? [Music] Look how cute this guy is. And maybe don't wear shoes with hardly any soul. And when I stepped on the hot rocks, it melted on the bottom of my shoe. And it's very, very hot. So, so just maybe wear proper gear. [Music] So, a couple of videos ago, we set all of the lentils over those openings back over there, but we didn't really explain it. We just time-lapsed it cuz it was like the first time we were doing it, and sometimes you just got to do it before you tell people about it. So, here's how it works. Um, these are these are supposed to go a foot over each side. So, the first thing we're doing is we're measuring a foot from the form out each side. Make sure it's it's pretty centered. Doesn't matter if it's exact, but it should be close. And then we're pushing it to where, you know, if you look at it, you don't want the corner to stick out further than the wall. So, you kind of have to just pick a point on the form, make sure that it's even. Then, we use the laser level. So, right now, we have it set over here at our zero point. So, basically, when the top of this um hits the top of this, it should be where we want it to go. So, right now, oh, I turned it off. Hold on. Right now, it's right where it needs to be. And then we just use either the 2x10s or the 1x six's um to level it up on each side. And that's it. That's all we got to do. So, we're just going to go down the line because we can hit everything on this inner courtyard from this one zero point. [Music] It needs to come up so it's to the top of this. It looks like one dies will get us. You could help me set like grab the other one there. [Music] I think that's good. [Music] Go ahead and grab two eyes and one vise. So, I think while it's nice, we should try to do at least the bedroom doors cuz they're right here and we can probably hit most of them with the same zero point. Let's do it. Ready? I guess I should probably actually do the math of how many boards I can get out of instead of just keep going back and buying Yep. boards and then buying more boards. I just don't want to do the math. Could you do it? I don't cut them. So, I don't also the problem is I won't know what I need cuz some of them look like they just need to go up on size. So, maybe I should just keep my plan of just buying wood. You need to do some rough math on it. I mean, I do rough maths. Look how much I got done with this. I did the inner and the hallway.
