Weekend baby! Woo! Let's go fishing! Just got here. One of my favourite spots. Didn't even get the camera set up. Nice little fingery. Just got some herring out. Hopefully we get some more folks. I'll get a photo of him on the brag mat for you. Another one here quick. There's another fingery or jerk. I had a second chance. Look at the size of it. Ha ha! Woo hoo! He said he'd do another. A little tip for handling cod. Handle it like this. A month or so ago. Grab both their lips. Pinch them together. Makes it a lot easier. Stay away from the spikes, the teeth. Usually you can manoeuvre one of these nice wide gap hooks straight out. A piece of wood like this one. There you go. Just give him a pinch like that. Back you go little collar. Some more herring out there. A bit of a bite there again. A lot of people strike on those little taps. You've got to wait until you feel the weight of it folks. Put a bit of structure down there. Don't want to give him too much. He's loaded up like that. Oh, he spat it. It happens. Down here down in the ground a bit of timber. Got me hooked back. That's a bonus. I was sitting there fishing five minutes later. Next minute the barras jumped out of the water with me. Lure in its mouth still. Hung around there for a bit to see if he was caught up on anything. But I didn't see him again. And I wanted lure back of course. That took a live. Look at the size of it. Breaks the board off. Having fun. You around today buddy? And I just caught a little thing up. I'm just having fun feeding me birds. That's what you do when you're enjoying it. Not really. It's a weekend. I've been enjoying it all weekend. Half two on the weekends anyway. I won't. Six till three every day during the week. So any weekends I'd get out of here or afternoons if I'm real keen. As long as you're enjoying it anyway. Morning.
