Went for a nice relaxing arvo soaking some livies feeding me mate Franklin the 🦅
G'day everyone, it's Friday afternoon again, we all know what I'm doing, heading out fishing
again.
Today I'm going to go back to me old ways, going to get some live bait, hopefully entice
some finger mack, jack, possibly even a barra, um, I've got a secret little spot near Castletown
there in Townsville that I, um, get mullet and heron, so pull in there, get some of them,
and then I'll also have a quick throw when I'm down there before I start fishing, I'll
see yous when I'm down there, eh?
Just heading to one of me boat ramps, hopefully there's some big fish hanging around the hole
I'm going to fish, and hopefully there's enough water to get the tides coming in, might just
have to chase some bait off the bank for a little while, wait for it to come in, it's
beautiful country out here though, this all goes underwater on the big king tides, so
you gotta work this boat ramp good with the tides, I usually like about 1.6m in the tides
to get in and out, I think it's about 1.4m at the moment, so, see how we go, oops, got
another car coming up, I'll pull over and I'll get back to yous when we're in the water, eh?
Not exactly the first fish you want, look at all these spiky ugly things they are, see
if we can get something else, eh?
Don't like handling these, they're straight with the pliers, if she allows it, try and
get him in the mouth.
Oh, me mate there, old Franklin, how you going mate, come on, got him, oh, hey Franklin,
hey you idiot, here, there you go Franklin, it's been a couple of weeks since I've been
here, he's probably been waiting for me, good old Franklin, got a heron back to back on
this one, so two heron and a good sized mullet on this one, hopefully we can entice some
fish up.
Really beautiful afternoon, got some boats around, but it's alright.
Can you see him up there, just in that tree?
There he is.
That's it Franklin, you've eaten enough.
