Hey guys! So today I'm back to do a drugstore makeup look for you guys.
This one's going to be a little bit different. It's kind of going to be a try-on style haul.
So most of the stuff in the video that I'm going to be showing you guys, I just picked up and I'm trying out for the first time.
So I'm going to try it on and you guys are going to see how I like it, kind of my first impressions,
and showing you guys a haul that way. So let me know how you like this style of haul.
I've seen a few other girls do this type of video too, so I wanted to try it out and see what you guys think
of my take on it. So anyways, this is a nice springy, peachy, nude kind of makeup look.
So if you guys want to follow along on how I achieved this look, what I thought of the new
products I was trying along the way, then just keep watching.
Alright, so the first product I'm going to try is this primer. This is the NYX Soft Focus Tinted Primer.
And I have it in the shade Medium Beige. And it's supposed to just be like something you could wear
on its own or underneath your makeup to like blur your pores and make your skin look nice and smooth.
So I'm going to be trying it out.
I definitely feel like this could be something that I could wear on its own, like if I didn't
want to wear makeup, but I just wanted my pores to look nice and smooth because it
blends pretty nicely with my skin tone. But we'll see how it does under the makeup.
But it feels really silky and smooth and my pores look like they are filled in pretty well.
So that's good. So then for my foundation, I'm going to be using the Maybelline Dream Cushion,
which I have another video raving about this because I love it. So I'm going to go with that
today just because I didn't see any foundations at the drugstore that I wanted to try that they had
in a color that I thought was going to work for me. So we're going to use this one, which I love.
And I'm using it in the shade 45. Then I got this CoverGirl Outlast All Day Soft Touch Concealer
and it is supposed to instantly erase the appearance of dark circles and blemishes,
oil free, won't clog pores, helps erase the appearance of dark circles with the soft touch
applicator. We're going to try that out. I got it in medium. Hopefully that will work. Yeah,
that should work. All right. So I'm just going to, whoa, eh, too much, too much sauce. Oh boy.
All right. Came out a little bit too much. So now it's in my eyelash, but it's cool. It is cool.
Obviously we're going to use it to do some brightening and highlighting. Also,
it comes out way too much though. I don't know. Let's see how it blends out. I haven't seen the
commercials for this. I think it's like Katy Perry, but I don't know if it's really,
I don't feel like it's really covering my darkness very well. I mean, I feel like because it's
it's brightening of it, but I don't know if it's covering dark circles like that. Well,
like since that's what it's claiming to do. Um, I'm not like super impressed, but we will make
it work. Like always, we will always make it work no matter what, because the show must go on.
So I don't love it. I can tell you that already. I don't love it, but
that's the whole idea of this. All right. So next, moving on to set that I'm going to take
the Maybelline super stay better skin, skin transforming powder. This is in warm nude,
and I'm just going to try it out. See how I like it. I've heard good things about this powder. So
I wanted to pick it up, but so far it looks good. It doesn't look cakey or anything. So that's a
plus. Next product is this. I saw this and it caught my eye because it reminds me of the Lorac
pro contour palette. So this is the physician's formula highlight and contour palette. This is
the matte one. There was also like a shimmery one, which looks really pretty too, but I don't
use shimmery bronzers that much. So we're going to try it out. That's what they look like. There's
a dark, a medium, and then a light, like highlighting shade. So we're going to try those
out. First I'm going to take the highlighting shade and put it right under there. And I'm not
going to do any more because I don't want it to look crazy white. So just putting that there.
Then I'm going to take a mixture of the dark and the medium and I'm going to use that to contour.
Oh yeah, that's a pretty color. Nicely pigmented. Doesn't seem blotchy. So that's good.
This is nice. This is nice. I like this. A lot of you guys recommended the butter bronzer,
but it was too light for my tan. I don't know. It just didn't really show up. So the middle shade
is a little bit too cool toned. It's almost grayish when I put it on my skin, which cool
tones are good for contouring, but I'll have to mix a little bit of the darker shade with it to
look more natural on me. So just saying. So next I'm going to move on to my eyes. And this is not
a drugstore product, but it is a cheap makeup product. This is from Colourpop. This is one of
their new eyeshadow quads. This one's called Heavy Hitter. And these retail for $18, which is a
comparable price to a lot of the drugstore eyeshadow palettes. Like a lot of the NYX ones,
L'Oreal ones are right in that ballpark. So that's why I wanted to include this one. So I'm
going to take this color right here, which is kind of like a caramelly color. It actually has
a little bit of gold shimmer in there, but I'm going to use it as my crease color and a little
bit onto the lid. So I'm kind of popping it in the crease. And so these are the Colourpop
pressed shadows, which are different than their like little ones that come in like those little
pots. These ones are like kind of a different texture, but this is my first time trying them.
And they're blending really well. Really pretty, good pigmentation. As you can see,
it's a little bit powdery, but I mean, a lot of eyeshadows are like that. Just make sure to tap
off your brush before going in to your eye. So then I'm going to take this color right here,
which is the darkest shade, just a nice, warm, medium tone brown. I'm going to pack this all
over my lid. Oh yeah, that's good. Good pigmentation. I like that. And then I'm just
going to go back and blend right in the crease again to make that just blend a little bit nicer.
And that color we just put on the lid is a matte color, so there's no sparkle or shimmer in there.
All right, so I'm going to take both of those colors. I'm going to mix them up and I'm going
to put them on my lower lash. Now I'm just taking the lightest color in that palette,
and that's just going to go underneath my brow bone. And again, I am impressed with all
these shadows. They definitely perform just as well as like an Anastasia palette or something
like that. Definitely good quality shadows for the money. Then I'm going to be taking
the second shade, which is like a champagne kind of color, and I'm just putting that on the inner
corner. Then I'm going to do my brows, and I've used this before. I haven't used it in a while
though. This is the Maybelline Define and Fill Brow Pencil in the color Deep Brown. So on one
end it's a pencil, and then on the other end it's like a smudging powder kind of deal. I don't know,
hard to explain. Then I'm going to be trying out the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara. I
really was intrigued by the brush. It's kind of like a curved comb style brush, which I thought
was really interesting. I wanted to try it out, so we're going to give it a try and hopefully
it's good. It's definitely interesting. I feel like it's a little bit clumpy. The formula is
definitely super thick, which I don't know how I feel about that. I don't know. What do you guys
think? I don't know. It's not awful, but I feel like it's very thick. Like my eyelashes look like
they're kind of sticking together. I want them to be more separated, which I thought since it was
like a comb it was gonna do that for me, but I don't feel like that's happening. I even wiped
off the brush, so I don't know about that. Not feeling it. All of you,
no! Officially freaking do not like you. Not a fan. Falsies push up, push down,
push it in the garbage. Don't like that-ish. Alright, I'm just gonna dab it and then we'll
go back and fix it later, okay? For now, we're just gonna use Maybelline Big Shot,
which is much better in my opinion. How annoying was that? Again, like I said, I made it work,
but I'm still very irritated by the situation. Then moving on, I'm going to be taking the
Positions Formula Butter Blush. This is in the shade Plum Rose, which is a really pretty
plummy shade. It's not super dark, so I'm not sure how it's gonna look on me, but hopefully-
oh no, it looks cute. Oh, it smells nice. Am I on vacation? I know that I'm not,
but this makes me feel like it. So if you are more tan or darker than me,
you might not like it, but it is a really pretty color. And then for my highlight,
I'm gonna be trying this Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder from NYX. This is in the
shade Synthetica, which is kind of like a rosy gold shade. Super pretty. So we're gonna be trying
that out. And yeah, that is really pretty. It's definitely really shimmery, but I like
the Duo Chromatic. You can see that it's like orangey and gold. That's so pretty.
I'm impressed. I like that a lot. Definitely gorgeous. Goes well with the kind of eye colors,
like a peachy, goldy, apricot theme. So I'm impressed. I do like that. That's so pretty.
Oh my gosh! Okay, I was liking it, but now it's grown on me. Like, it's so gorgeous.
What do I do? I just will keep applying until I look weird.
All right, so my battery just died, so I was just waiting for it to charge.
And that mascara literally started flaking all over my face. So what I decided to do is put on
some of my favorite lashes. I just restocked these. These are the Ardell Wispies. So I put those on
over top so I wouldn't have the issue with that crappy mascara. So anyway, moving on to the lips,
I'm just going to use an old lip liner of mine that is from the drugstore. I'm going to use
Maybelline's Nude lip liner. Just basic nude lip liner, obviously. I'm just like completely
filling my lips in with that. And then right in the center, I'm going to take this Intimate
nude lipstick from Maybelline. It's called Hot Sand. All right, so this is the final look. End
result is pretty good. As you can see, there was a little rackiness, bumpiness along the way, but
we made it work. And I think it still looks pretty good for all drugstores. So I hope you guys like
this video. Let me know what you guys think of this kind of format of video, of the try-on haul.
Let me know what you think or any other suggestions. I appreciate the feedback. So
anyways, thank you guys so much for watching. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already.
Other than that, I'll see you guys soon.
I'm freaking my scare away my whole day.
Big win. You see this water bottle says big win? That was a big loss. Okay, big time.
