Address to the Nation After the Cabinet Meeting
We have completed the 50th meeting of our President's Cabinet, which has been held for more than a year.
At this Cabinet meeting, we discussed critical issues related to our country, our nation and the international agenda.
Our efforts to reunite Turkey with its targets continue without stopping.
Since our last Cabinet meeting, we have again had a busy business period.
We have determinedly continued our struggle to serve our nation with mass opening ceremonies and visits, international summits and trips abroad.
The gap between us and the main opposition party shows itself more clearly in every development that has taken place.
My people should know that in the stormy period that the world has gone through, Turkey is under the leadership of qualified personnel.
It is safe and in the hands of qualified people.
We are working in perfect harmony and coordination as the Republic Alliance in law.
We are developing solutions to the problems of our country with our Cabinet members and bureaucrats.
Our judiciary strives for the manifestation of justice within the framework of the borders drawn by the Constitution.
All organs of the state are fulfilling their duties in the fields of responsibility.
We are determined to continue these achievements, which are one of the most important outcomes of the presidential government system.
We understand the value of stability and security in these days, especially when Western countries are faced with serious management depression.
We manage the crises that will occur in many countries in the world successfully without harming even 86 million people.
We have experienced this in many issues, from the bloodshed in our region to trade and customs wars, from the most serious health crisis of the last century to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
We did not fall into the trap, we did not fall into the game.
We did not embark on any adventure that would produce economic and social costs for our country.
We have determined our policies with the rich experience of 23 years, accumulation and acquisition, not because Western countries say what to us.
I would like to express this here.
Yesterday, those who unfairly defeated us both in the coronavirus outbreak and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, have come to the point of giving justice, even if it is shameful today.
Those who accused us of moving away from Europe and the Western bloc yesterday, praise the balanced policies we follow today.
Those who criticized my government's conscientious stance in Syria and Gaza yesterday, today, thanks to us, their heads are going straight abroad.
It is important for those who criticize us to come to a position that appreciates and appreciates us, sometimes for two years, sometimes for four years, sometimes for much longer.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do for those who do not admit that they know the truth.
Dear members of the press,
While they are running after empty jobs, we have been running for our country and our people for the past two weeks.
On October 1, we held the opening of the 28th period of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the 4th year of the constitution.
We expressed our wishes that the new period would be a year in which different ideas, offers and evaluations are freely expressed in respect, harmony and kindness.
On October 4, we were in our district with Sultanbeyli to hold the opening and founding ceremonies of our 50 projects, which amounted to 8 billion 425 million liras.
I wish these investments to be successful once again.
October 4 was another important and critical day for us.
We gave strong moral support to the Sumud fleet, which is moving from different countries to Gaza as a response to Israel's occupation and genocide.
We successfully managed the evacuation process of the activists among our citizens.
With the evacuation operation we launched on October 4, we brought 36 Turkish citizens, a total of 137 activists, to our country safely.
In the second evacuation process on October 7, we ensured the transition of 16 of our citizens to Jordan at the first stage, and then the arrival of 15 of them to our country.
Three of our deputies who were detained were able to reach Turkey safely via Baku.
With a special expedition organized by our Turkish Airlines on October 10, we transferred a total of 94 activists from 21 countries, including 18 of our citizens, to Turkey.
I would like to thank all our citizens, all the activists, who participated in the fleet and translated the conscience of humanity.
On October 5, we participated in the 11th Energy Efficiency Forum, which was held in Istanbul.
Here, at the same time, we also crushed the unworthy claims and accusations that the main opposition aimed at Turkey's energy security.
We are currently meeting the natural gas needs of our 4 million households in the gas field of Sakarya.
This number will reach 8 million by 2026, and by 2028, God willing, it will reach 16 million.
Currently, we have natural gas imports and exports with a total of 34 countries.
We will produce the first electricity in the Akkuyu nuclear power plant very soon.
In addition to Akkuyu, our nuclear agenda also includes other projects.
We will continue to invest in nuclear energy without accepting the criticisms that the main opposition has made by pushing the fish forward.
On this occasion, I would like to clarify the issue that the opposition has hit again.
Another priority of our energy policy is that the mines we own are offered to international markets in a value-added way.
In particular, rare earth elements play a critical role in many areas of defense industry, renewable energy systems, communication and space technologies from electric vehicles.
In the rare earth elements field in Beylikova district of Eskişehir, approximately 125,000 meters of drilling have been carried out in 310 separate locations so far.
It has been determined that there are 694 million tons of rare earth elements, including barite and fluorite, in the field of work.
Look, this field is the second largest rare earth resource field in the world.
There are approximately 12.5 million tons of rare earth oxides in the Beylikova field where 17 rare earth elements are found.
We want to be one of the world's largest 5-producer in rare earth elements.
We continue our work in this direction.
At the first stage, we took over the Eti Maden Pilot Production Facility, where we will process 1,200 tons of rare earth elements annually.
We continue our work, including refining technology, to transform the pilot facility into an industrial facility.
I have to say this by underlining it.
Countries and companies with rare earth elements technology are unfortunately avoiding sharing their experiences related to production processes in this field.
The expansion of this obstacle and the short-term economy of the existing fields force international cooperation.
Many countries are signing agreements with experienced countries on this issue for technological development, consultancy and technology transfer.
As Turkey, we are making meetings with the expert institutions of countries with technological memory to develop cooperation.
In this sense, it is never a question of giving the field of rare earth elements in Beylikova to any country.
Anyone who claims this means slandering their own country.
I especially draw your attention to this.
Those who do not want Turkey to gain its underground resources into its economy always do this.
First, they try to prevent mining investigations and search efforts.
When they fail to do this, they are concerned about sabotaging the operation.
The equation is actually very simple.
If possible, to prevent, if not, to make it unreliable.
This is also the case with the rare earth elements.
The aim is to prevent Turkey from taking advantage of this underground resource.
Be careful, those who slander our government on this issue are the ones who talk about our oil discoveries in Gabar with Karadeniz Natural Gas.
If you remember, they immediately put a pole instead of giving support in Olada.
They are doing the same thing today.
Believe me, nothing will change tomorrow.
I ask my nation to be vigilant against them.
I ask my nation to trust us.
With the permission of God, we will not waste this trust.
Dear members of the press,
We convey the solidarity and partnership between the Turkish states in the light of unity at work, in language and in thought.
On October 7, we attended the 12th Summit of the Turkish State Organization, which is organized with the theme of regional peace and security in Gebele.
I hope that the decisions we made at the summit and the Gebele statement we signed will be a means of good for the whole Turkish world.
On October 9, we held the opening of the 2025-2026 Academic Year of High Education with the ceremony held at our Presidential Assembly.
I wish our students, teachers, and staff on duty at our universities a happy new academic year.
On October 10, we were in Rize with our parents on the occasion of our general opening and founding ceremonies.
Here we made the general opening of our 38 projects.
We laid the foundations of two projects.
Subsequently, we came together with civil society institutions and the business world in our city.
These investments, which exceed 3.84 billion liras, wish us and our region good luck once again.
On October 12, we held the general opening of our 130 projects worth 13.514 billion liras in Trabzon.
We had a good news there.
We will build our third airport in Trabzon on the sea.
We finished the project.
We hope to start the tender in a short time.
After that, we will start running all the machines.
Dear people,
We are proud that Turkey's star is shining more and more, that its weight in global politics is increasing, and that its reputation is rising to a level suitable for our dear people.
Turkey is becoming an indispensable player in foreign policy, peace, dialogue, justice and resolution.
We are not following the West in conflict resolution.
We are in a country where the West follows, takes examples and watches closely.
We have never changed our stance during the 13.5 years of the Syrian conflict.
We did not leave the Syrian oppressed to the mercy of the tyrants and terrorist organizations.
Despite all these, we kept our conscientious attitude until the end, taking into account the political cost in the most critical times.
Thank God, as a result, we were on the right side of history.
We successfully passed the Turkish nation, brotherhood and neighborhood exam.
Today, our relations with our neighbor Syria are strengthening in all areas.
As long as there is stability in Syria, everything will be better.
We have never slandered the children of Gaza who defend their homeland.
We have never taken sides with the resistance of Palestine for the sake of looking cute to someone.
We salute you once again with respect and entrust you to God.
