"You Are Doing Nothing" | Beto O'Rourke Interrupts Abbott Briefing, Echoing U.S. Debate On Guns
Every time something like this happens, we have the same conversation about gun control.
And we saw just how tense this conversation can be yesterday during Governor Greg Abbott's
news conference.
Beto O'Rourke, who is running for Abbott's job right now, interrupted the event.
Take a listen.
Excuse me.
Sit down.
You're out of line and an embarrassment.
Sit down.
Get away.
No.
You said this was not predictable.
This is totally predictable.
Sir, you're out of line.
Please leave this auditorium.
Sir, you can exit.
Yeah.
You can exit.
I can't believe you're a sick, come to a deal like this to make a political issue.
It's on you.
It don't have to be like you, why don't you get out of here?
So afterwards O'Rourke was escorted outside as you can see that process happening there
where he doubled down on his remarks against Abbott but also said inaction on gun reform
is a shared responsibility.
It is absolutely wrong in fact it is insane the governor talks about mental health it
is insane that we allow an 18 year old to go in and buy an AR-15 what the hell did we
think he was going to do with that?
This one is on us.
