But as you said, Craig is from the rough.
You can't go at this whole little
five with their just chopping at it.
And that one took a wicked bounce to
get way over the green at least from there.
So take it back to his third at the par 5 first.
Tricky little chip to stop the day.
Amazing such little golf can still have.
Just like that, he is minus one
in his first start here in 2024.
Tiger starting this one at the
middle portion of the cream.
So that one does climb up onto the
green and now here it comes. That
was so wise. He just decided to
cut up against the the tilt.
Knowing three was a great storm.
The exquisite execution got a
chance for a two December.
Obviously a couple of times,
but last official event,
the Masters last year.
Yes, I mean to do this at the 4th.
Come on, it's it's the hottest
part where you're ever going to see.
We're here on day one.
Familiar swing, familiar stroke,
familiar wars.
We'll see him finish up his
opening round this afternoon.
Trackpad technology is presented
by Titleist, the number one ball in golf.
Certainly is properly flighted
as he goes by woods, eh?
255 yards wind helping just
a little bit off the left.
That was over by the people and left
of the green going to leave a very
difficult up and down for his birdie.
Here at the 11th.
He's got an OK large and high and soft.
Oh boy.
That was a foot from perfect.
If it would have landed on the
fringe instead of the rough burst,
they would have hopped right down to the
hole and I think that's what Tiger was
trying to do with the putter from
off the green at 11.
Really high down that left side should
be good cutting back towards the middle.
No job well done there.
Very high cutting towards it needs
to stay left that front right bunker.
Wow, Tiger is the third player,
just the third player so far today.
Paul needs to slow down a little bit.
That's been the mistake he's
been making most of the day.
Running those puts a little bit too far by.
And the birdie putt.
OK, back to even par.
Oh hello guys. Yeah, uh-huh.
That caught hosel, yep.
Right away now the gallery can cheer.
It's not exactly a big gap.
Trying to hit a little hook, low hook,
and it's going to get up.
Cause we get over those bunkers.
I bogey at the last four words here,
but a lot of good from that round.
72 won over. Tiger,
great to see you back out here.
It was wonderful to see you
interact with the fans and the
experience from your perspective.
How would you assess your round?
My round was good and
a little bit indifferent.
I had some. I struggle with the speed
of the Greens, even though I made a few.
There were there were a lot faster
than I'd ever seen Riviera before,
and also I didn't feel like I
hit a lot of Greens today.
Missed a lot and.
Well, stressing out on the short game.
I mean, I had maybe about 55 parts
today or something like that.
Something stupid.
It was making either birdie bogeys
and it was good and a little bit
indifferent. Every round comes
with its ups and downs.
You did have a bit of a challenge there on 18.
Walk us through what happened
there on the second shot and then
how you were able to find a window on the third.
Well, my back spasm on it.
It's been spasm in the last like three holes
and it is locked up on me and.
Didn't move, didn't rotate and
present hosel first.
Well, you mentioned the back spasm.
I know as soon as we finish our conversation,
you're going to go and cool down.
How's the body feeling overall
and what does tonight look like again?
We got some treatment ahead of us and
some some work to do to be ready for tomorrow,
but that's just part of the deal
and look forward to the challenge.
Thanks for watching the PGA Tour on YouTube.
Watch another video right.
