Do you want to practice speaking in German at home alone?
Then watch this video.
Hello and welcome back to my channel.
My name is Maria.
I am a German teacher and your language coach.
This is the biggest problem of all German learners.
Speaking in German.
Many people have been learning German for years,
but when they are supposed to speak,
they feel like they are being blocked or talking way too slowly.
Have you ever thought,
I know the words, I also know the grammar,
but when I want to speak, nothing comes out.
If that seems familiar to you,
then this video will hopefully help you a lot.
I have three tips for you on how you can practice speaking all by yourself without a teacher.
You can also find the tips from the video in a free PDF.

or click on the first link below this video.
And now listen carefully, we're starting.
Let's go!
What problems do you actually have when speaking?
It's best to write me a comment directly
if one of them seems familiar to you.
There is often an inner blockage.
It was really bad for me back then,
so I can totally understand it.
You don't want to make a mistake
and think about it until the sentence is over.
Do you know that too?
Then there is the second problem.
Too little practice.
Most people read a lot, watch series or do tasks in vocabulary apps,
but they hardly speak.
And if you don't speak,
then the language just remains passive.
I think many can sing a song.
Aha, a very interesting expression.
I can sing a song means
I have experience with a mostly negative situation.
And even if you know the words,
there is often the next obstacle.
Too slow pronunciation.
You don't find the words fast enough.
You know the word is somewhere,
but it feels like in a lexicon
that you have to strike first.
That's really frustrating, isn't it?
The last problem is the missing routine.
Conversations are unpredictable.
So you can't always predict what the other person is saying.
That's what scares a lot of people,
because they realize that in a real conversation
it works differently than in exercises, in a course or in a book.
Does that sound familiar to you?
I think everyone knows what to do
when you have problems speaking.
You should speak, speak, speak.
So I'm going to show you three methods
how you can practice speaking in German
all by yourself, at home, without a teacher.
But for everyone who wants to achieve even faster success
and absolutely wants to practice with a German teacher,
I have really good news.
In my team, there are now many native teachers
who teach one-on-one,
very individually, just for you.
And currently there are 100 free seats again
in my conversation training.
And today even a small promotion is starting.
You can book a trial lesson for only 10 euros.
This is not a group lesson,
and you decide what you do.
Preparation for the exam,
conversations for the job,
freshen up grammar
or just speak freely,
completely in German.
You get feedback right away
and become more confident from lesson to lesson.
After the trial lesson,
you can then choose different packages.
My colleagues explain this to you
very easily on the phone.
But be careful, there are only 100 seats
and they are, according to experience,
very fast away.
So if you really want to get into speaking,
then book your trial lesson.
Scan this code and get your trial lesson
for only 10 euros.

Good luck speaking!
Of course, you don't always have the opportunity
to take individual lessons in German.
But does that mean you can't do anything?
Of course not!
Here are three simple tips
on how you can work on speaking independently,
without teaching and very flexible in everyday life.
Tip number 1, the shadowing technique.
How does it work?
Listen to a short dialogue
or a video in German
like an echo.
Don't stop, don't think long,
just talk along.
This trains your ear,
your pronunciation
and your speed at the same time.
I know that many of you
use my videos as a basis
for shadowing exercises.
You could do that today too.
Please choose a video on my channel
that you haven't seen yet
A few minutes is enough for the beginning.
Regularity is much more important.
Have you ever used the shadowing technique?
Feel free to tell me about it in the comments.
Tip number 2, learning chunks.
Chunks are fixed word groups or sentences
that you don't have to translate word for word,
but use as a whole.
And the nice thing is,
you don't have to constantly think about
how exactly the sentence is built up.
You just grab a building block like this.
This automatically makes you sound more natural
and more fluid.
You can also use these chunks, for example,
to get some time to think.
For example,
I have to think about this for a moment.
That's an exciting question.
To be honest,
that's a good point.
Let me think about it.
I've been thinking about it a lot.
When you learn such chunks by heart
and use them regularly,
something exciting happens.
You speak faster
because your brain doesn't have to rebuild every sentence.
At the same time, you become more sophisticated,
almost as if you were improvising freely.
You just use prepared building blocks.
Clever!
That used to help me a lot,
among other things, in German exams.
Which chunks do you actually use in everyday life?
Write to me!
Tip number three.
Time pressure simulation.
Set a timer to 30 seconds
and talk about a topic.
For example, my day today
or what am I cooking this evening?
In these 30 seconds,
you must not stop talking.
This trains you to find words under pressure
and just keep talking.
Please, please,
try it out today
and write to me in the comments
how you felt about it.
If you use these simple tips regularly,
you will notice
your speaking becomes faster,
more fluid and more self-confident.
Those were my three tips
with which you can immediately start
to speak more self-confidently.
Please write to me in the comments
which tip you will try today.
Shadowing?
Learning chunks?
Or the time pressure simulation?
I'm curious!
And if you want to get ahead faster,
then take advantage of your chance
and try out the conversation training.
