I’ve been testing the Muzen Trickle earbuds, which use a shiny new clip-on/open-ear style design that’s become trendy lately. In this video, I go over how they feel to wear for longer sessions, their 4g lightweight build, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and the sound quality you actually get in real-world use. With up to 38 hours of playtime, these are made for fitness, running, and workouts — but I wanted to see if they also work well for everyday listening. Here’s my honest take on the Muzen Trickle earbuds and whether the clip-style trend is worth picking up.

What's up guys? So these days these kind
of earbuds are really in fashion. The
ones that go on your ears like a clip.
These are really in fashion. Many brands
have introduced it. Uh this is one of
those brands. It's called Mosen. Mosen.
I hope I'm not butchering it. My
apologies if if I am. They claim to be
really lightweight clipon. They're
called clipon and they don't directly I
think go inside the ear canal. So they
don't hurt a lot. I uh if you know me
personally I am not a fan of in air ones
in the ones that go inside the canal and
they hurt me. Battery life is up to 38
hours. So even really good battery life
obviously calls portable wear those
things must be there. It has 300 mAh
battery
and uh what is the version of Bluetooth?
It is not mentioned here. I'm hoping it
is some kind of latest at least
CD quality sound. Not sure about that.
We'll see if it is CD quality or not.
Zero pressure sleek design. So, let's
check it out.
[Applause]
really tiny
design
like and
extremely rounded. Super ergonomic. You
can hold it and there are no sharp edges
and paint job also feels really good. Is
it plastic? This does I don't think this
is metal. I feel like this is plastic.
It gives you the feeling of metal
because of the good paint job or good
plastic quality. But I don't think it is
actually metal. But overall uh it is a
very lightweight welld designigned type
of uh uh uh case. I think I like it. I
mean look at it. And then you can hold
it. No sharp edges. And it's lightweight
as well. I mean I I'm um picking it up
like this. I am not feeling much from it
weight from it inside. I think this is
the top one.
Or is it like this?
It should be like this.
Like this. Super shiny. So you will be
wearing it. If you wear then you will be
taking a lot of attention. So just
remember that.
but super shiny and but if you are
giving a fashion style I think they will
definitely suit your uh imagine you are
wearing leather jacket and fullon black
jeans or something like that then if
you're wearing these you will look super
cool but let's put them aside let's see
what else is inside if at all
so we do have some stuff here. Trickle
clip on bars, charging gauge, USB type-C
type-C cable should be here somewhere.
So, we have some user manual
and a type A to type- C cable.
Not all right, let's put them aside.
I will read the use manual in a bit
because I want to see if they have a
dedicated app or not. And it looks like
they don't have it.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Don't they don't have
an app.
It would have been nice if they had an
app. Okay.
No app. Just this. Okay.
Super shiny paint job. Good paint job. I
would say it is plastic, feels metal.
So,
I would give them high marks for the
design of the charging case. And let's
try their earbuds. They are super
fashionable.
Like the this paint job of them is
really nice. See, I mean, look at it.
They feels like some kind of jewelry.
I'm not uh saying that they will have a
good sound quality as well. That
depends. We will see in a bit. And I
will also show you me wearing them. But
overall design wise, they are nice. Let
me remove these covers because they're
blocking our charging because we need to
charge them to use them.
Okay.
And if I do this
now, it should charge itself.
Do they have
And they do have
magnet. So
they go in easily, right?
There is a light on. I'm not sure if you
guys can spot it due to studio lights,
but light is on now. And is there any
light inside it? Not sure
the problem with the studio lights is
that the tiny lights you can't see them.
Now let's see if there is a battery and
if I can pair it with my iPhone or
something. But uh up to up until this
point we have I like the design of the
charging case. I like the design of
these earbuds. Let me view one just to
see how. So this area will go behind
your ears and this area will be close to
your ear canal. Just remember that
they also give you instructions
how to wear them
and the user manual.
If you come here
they do give you instructions.
So we have touch sensors, touch control
area. Where is the touch sensor number
three? So the touch area is on the
uh earbuds
and it is not on the charging case. Just
remember that. So there is no ch button
or pairing or something like that on
your button. If you want to uh you know
control something, touch sensor. This is
the touch sensor area. Touch control
area. This one, the one that is behind
the ears.
So,
and then they give you instructions for
how to use them. This is the
instructions. The bigger area will go
behind your ears and the smaller area
will go inside your ears. Just remember
that proper waiting position, no app or
anything like that. And to reset, there
is a touch sensor will be right here.
All right, let's bring out
our
iPhone. iPhone.
Let me increase the brightness
and see if it is connected
and see if let's see if I able to
go to Bluetooth. Bluetooth settings
ring on. It should
appear here.
If they have some battery,
let's put them back, back, back, back,
back.
They doesn't seem to be appearing.
I guess I need to give them some charge.
Maybe they're not charged. And also read
the documentation.
I don't think usually anything is needed
as soon as you like open the charging
case. Usually earbuds allows you to pair
them but or sometimes you need to bring
them out to pair them.
In either case, this is not working. So,
uh, my best guess is that it is a
charging issue. So, I'm going to give
them 30 minutes, uh, maybe just 15
minutes of charging and then come back
to the video. So, hold on, guys.
All right, I'm back. And the issue was
just with the battery and now I'm able
to see them in the iPhone. I haven't
paired them yet, but I'm able to see
them. There is one indicator light here.
And if you bring out that
this, there is an other indicator light
here as well. And this is also the touch
area. Double tap, triple tap, long
press. Those are the gestures for both
left and right to next, previous tracks,
hung up, call, receive call, activate
your voice assistant, all those are
there. Personally,
uh I really hate these.
I each earbud has different touch
sensors and their functions and it's a
big learning curve for me and I mostly
avoid learning any kind of touch sensor
at all. But they are here in case you
are interested and you can keep up with
the learning curve. Now that they are
out, they should be we should be able to
see them here. This is
there Muslim MW3i.
Let's pair them.
And we are connected.
Let's play something. Let's play
something.
What should I play?
Let's
Uh,
Jerry. Let's play Jerry Rig for
something.
I want to play some songs as well.
Oh,
can you not?
All right, it's playing. What?
Stop doing that.
So if I double tap,
it should pause. Double tap, play. So
these are the gestures, right?
And
this is the
left one. Let me wear it.
So just listening to it, this normal
video I actually uh there is depth onto
the sound and sound is very clear even
at the top. So that's really good. Uh
let's switch to MKBHD. Change the video
and see what happens.
And it can be exciting when you push it
towards.
>> So when there is a music involved, there
are certain frequencies that I feel like
are not being delivered at at the top
end correctly. But when you uh hear the
normal sound of for example MKBHD
uh it has warmth, it has fullness,
naturalness and so that sounds really
nice. So I want to do some songs test
and I would don't want to involve any
video that can be copyrighted.
So
let me find some in my own file system.
Let me find some.
All right, guys. So, I have been
listening to it on a music and uh uh
overall I would say it's on the audio
quality is decent. I would not say it's
great or anything like that. The reason
I'm saying it is that the bass seems
missing. whenever it tries to deliver
the bass, I feel like it's emulating the
bass and the bass itself like driver uh
isn't uh able to keep up with the bass
and uh so and also on the top side it
feels uncomfortable but I think for the
price uh the sound is decent but don't
expect anything extraordinary especially
on the bass side uh when you pump up the
sound the bass uh is missing. I I don't
find the bass or the warmth uh not
warmth, fullness and normal sound is
fine when you're listening to video or
anything like that. But but with heavy
sounds which have quite a bit of uh bass
in them or different frequencies then uh
on the top side you start feel like no
these are not the top end earbuds. So
let me uh give you a feel and uh
over the edge. Feel like I'm floating
through the air.
[Music]
The pain I felt is paid for. All is said
and done.
[Music]
I am restricted, fixed upon the web. I
need to kick the habit that my mind is
breathing in. Break out, I've got to
see.
>> Break out, I've got to see.
>> Spent all my life holding all of it
closely. I play it in aense. A feel of
discontent. I'm finally facing it all
fearless. Yeah.
[Music]
[Music]
[Applause]
I hope you guys were able to pick it up.
So, price-wise, it's decent audio
quality, but don't expect anything uh
like great, anything like that. Amazing
uh out of it. Um let's see if we can run
a quick
uh audio test.
Voice memos.
I hope it records using my earbuds.
Hello, testing. Hello, testing. Hello,
testing. Hello, testing. Hello, testing.
Hello, testing. Hello testing.
And now I want to unpair them
like this.
Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello.
Hello. Helloing.
>> Not volume is testing. Hello. Hello.
Hello testing. Hello testing. Hello
testing.
>> An okay volume. I mean even average or
below average. Testing. Hello testing.
Hello testing. Hello testing. Hello
testing. Hello testing. Hello testing.
>> Uh it still sounds like my sound but uh
since it is coming from far it feels
like it is coming from far not from
close. So it does not feel rich or like
with high quality earbuds that you get.
>> Hello testing. Hello testing. Hello
testing. Hello testing. Hello testing.
Hello testing. Hello testing.
>> Volume is also low as compared.
Hello testing. Hello testing. Hello
testing. Hello testing. Hello testing.
>> Overall in the end design wise I would
get them high marks. They have a really
nice design. I'm not sure how it will
live up in the long run. Maybe the
shininess and the color will fade away,
but uh soundwise they are average. So,
just so you know, let me know what you
think of it. Take care. Bye.
