Behind me is the 2026 Nissan Rogue Rock
Creek, and this is the most capable
off-road Nissan Rogue we've seen to this
day. I'm going to go through the ins and
outs. This is Cars Unlocked. Let's get
started.
So, for 2026, Nissan has given their
famous Rock Creek package and added it
to the Rogue lineup. So, this is right
below our platinums in our trim levels.
If you've been shopping around with the
road, you know it goes SV is the middle.
We have the S, which is the entry level.
We have the Rock Creek here. And then we
have the Platinum. Maybe you like a
little more weekend warrior kind of vibe
to your vehicle. You don't want to spend
the extra money on the Platinum, but
this is the perfect fit if you like a
little off-roading, maybe going on some
trails or some camping, or you just like
this style of look. Is it kind of Jeep
capable? We are gonna find out today.
But let's start with the price. This one
in Canada has an MSRP of $44,690.
Now, for all my American friends out
there, it has a USD MSRP of $33690.
So, it's a little cheaper than the
Platinum, but let's see what you get. On
the front end, we can see a little
different look to the front grill here.
These little three grill shutters here
add to that off-road. We've seen that on
the Nissan Pathfinders. We've seen that
on the Nissan Frontiers in these kind of
off-road editions. The Pathfinder being
the Rock Creek and the Frontier being
the Pro 4X. And we also see this nice
red Nissan emblem. And it looks great
with these little front bumper accents
as well that are in red. Kind of
contrast especially with this black
exterior color. You might be wondering,
why is this the Rock Creek? Is it
off-road capable? Well, the answer to
that question is going to be yes. It
comes with these 17-in allterrain tires.
You do have these dark painted aluminum
alloy wheels, and we have this little
Rock Creek insert as well to kind of
contrast with the red and the black.
It's going to come with front and rear
vented disc brakes as well. You got
different drive modes inside that we're
going to test out and show you that this
is a pure capable off-road vehicle,
especially with these nice tires. Now,
check this out on our side profile.
There's lots to love with the Rock Creek
Edition. We do have our nice Rock Creek
badging stamped on the side still of the
door there. There is a camera right
here, which we'll turn on when we get
inside. It isn't a round view monitor,
so that's going to come in handy when
you're parking. You got turning accents
on your mirrors there. You have tinted
rear windows. And this is another
feature of the Rogue. You have the
tubular real roof rails as well. And it
comes with the cross rails already
equipped because if you're putting
kayaks and things on top, you want to be
able to easily mount them and you don't
want to be buying any extra accessories.
Now, let's do a quick remote starter
test. You can see on the key, we got our
remote start button, our lock button,
our unlock button, our automatic lift
gate, and our panic button. So, to use
the remote starter, you just need to
lock it twice.
Click and hold that remote start button.
Boom. Now, this wouldn't be a full cars
unlock video if we didn't show you how
to unlock the doors. You can use the
key, or you can push the button right on
the door here. That's going to lock and
unlock the door, and you can just easily
get right in. Let's check out the
inside. Now, to make this a little more
off-road capable, they didn't really
make any changes to the engine. It's the
same 1.5 3 cylinder engine with the VC
Turbo and the Nissan CVT. It's going to
give you about 201 horsepower and 225
lb feet of torque. So, you guys put in
your comments what you think about the
turbo. I know you guys are going to
comment what you think about the CVT,
but I'd love to hear your guys comments.
Now, for fuel mileage, 7.7 L combined
between the city and the highway or 31
combined MPGs. So, pretty good fuel
economy. On the Nissan website, they
didn't distinguish the fuel economy
between the Rock Creek and the other
packages. I would fair to assume that
this Rock Creek is going to get you
slightly less fuel mileage just because
of the all-terrain tires are a little
beefier. I've also noticed that this is
the Canadian package that I'm in.
There's a few things that I don't see
that I saw on the US packages like the
Qi charger, the Google builtin, the full
touchscreen. I'm not sure why they
didn't include that, but it does have
the full 360 monitor. Like, that is
[music] great. And we're going to try
out the Pro Pilot Assist. I love this
new D-shaped wheel. And then you [music]
have all the safety features. You got
the blind spot monitor. You got the lane
departure warning, the automatic
highbeam [music] assistant. You do have
the moving object detection in the back.
You do have the rear cross traffic
alert, the intelligent cruise control.
There's so many safety features. Now, if

sure you guys subscribe. I do a lot of

industry, car reviews, and a lot of
how-to content. So, make sure you guys

thumbs up if we've helped you with your
purchase today. And now, we're just
jumping on the highway and let's see how
it takes off. 201 horsepower. You know,
I've driven the Rogues a lot and I've
never had any issues on the road. They
always are a pleasure to drive. They're
very comfortable. I'm going to be
honest. It's like last weekend I had a
3-hour drive in a Nissan Kicks and by
like the hour 30 mark I could feel
myself getting uncomfortable. The seat
was a little stiff, but these seats are
super comfortable and you get this
leather seat with the Rock Creek. So,
that's great. Now, I'm going to turn on
my Pro Pilot Assist cuz this one has the
Nissan 1.1
Pro Pilot Assist. So, we are locked into
our lane and we're going to take our
hands off the wheel and let this car
drive. I've set it to 97 km per hour.
Look, I haven't even put my hands on the
wheel. Okay, it's telling me warning,
put your hands back on the wheel
and now it's beeping at me and it will
eventually shut off. Now, I've done a
full review and walkthrough on how to
use the Nissan Pro Pilot Assist. You
guys can check that out on my channel,
whether you have the 1.0 you know, or
the 1.1, but I'd love to see the best
Pro Pilot Assist added to this car. This
doesn't seem like it's the newest one
because the newest one you can kind of
keep your hands off the wheel for a very
long time. Now, this Rogue is going to
come with LED daytime running lights,
LED headlights. There's automatic
headlights to automatically turn on and
off, and you have automatic highbeam
assistant, which is a good feature of
Nissan. So, the high beams will turn on
and off as you pass and it senses
another vehicle coming. Now, if you guys
are watching from the States, you've
probably already seen this Rock Creek
edition here cuz they launched it in the
US in 2025, but here in Canada for 2026,
this is what's new with the Nissan Rogue
and this is what's hitting the Nissan
lots. We've been waiting a long time for
this. We are still waiting for the
hybrid models of the Rogue. I'm excited
to show you guys that, but we'll get to
that when they come. Now, for the rear
of the Rock Creek edition here, that red
Nissan emblem continues on in the back.
We have our all-wheel drive stamp, so
you know it's all-wheel drive here, and
we have our nice Rogue stamp right on
the back. There is a backup camera right
under the license plate. Now, there's no
motion activated lift gate, which I'm a
little disappointed at. This one just
has the power lift gate, which you can
open up here, and then you jump into
this large trunk. 36 cubic feet of cargo
capacity in the back here. Does it have
a spare tire? It does come with a spare
tire. A lot of the new vehicles, even
Nissan's are starting to go away from
the spare tire. So, I'm happy to see it
comes with a spare tire. And then you
have
your tunnel cover as well. Now, if you
want a little more cargo capacity, you
can obviously fold the seats down. You
can see it's a 6040 split for the seats
and you pretty much have a full flat
cargo area. The tunnel cover you can
remove very easily as you can see if you
do the Home Depot or IKEA thing. And
look at that. Now, let me jump in the
back here and show you guys the back
seat.
Not too bad of a back seat. Like I'm
sitting up a little higher. That's one
thing I like about the Rogue. The back
seats are kind of raised above the
driver's seat, so I can still see kind
of above and out the windshield. Still
got your cup holders here, elbow rest.
There's a cup holder in each door. And
there's two USBs, ventilation back here
for the kiddos. So, pretty good if you
have a family of five. Four. Four, I
think, would be perfect. Five could be
slightly tight if you have car seats and
things like that. Now, what you love
about the Rogue? You have space, you
have comfort, you have fuel mileage. Is
this going to be like a Jeep Wrangler
where you can take it mudding and
off-roading? I doubt it. I don't think
it's that capable. You won't be towing
anything really large. It's got 1500 lb
of towing, but it's a great just family
hauler. Great city driver. Lots of space
in the trunk. And like the biggest
thing, like I said, is they are
comfortable. So, I really like that
about it. Under the center console, you
have lots of storage. You got a nice
large storage in the center console. And
you have two cup holders as well. So, a
ton of storage, a ton of comfort in the
car, and a full suite of Nissan safety
features. Now, if you guys want to test
drive any Nissan vehicle and you're in
the Niagara region, I work out of St.
Catherine's Nissan. Make sure you guys
contact me and I can be certainly I
would be certainly happy to take you on
a test drive and show you. So, guys,
that's a wrap on your video. As always,
if you're new here, subscribe, comment
what you want to see next from Cars
Unlocked. Hopefully you guys learned
something about this Rock Creek package
today. My conclusion, is it off-road
capable? Yes, it's a little more
off-road capable than the other Rogues,
but it's not a true off-road car.
Nissan, just make a good Xtera and you
have a true off-road capable vehicle.
And the Ford Bronco proved that there's
a market for that. So, that's my overall
thought. You don't need to appeal to
off-road people by having this kind of
in between off-road package. I think you
just need to make a true off-road
capable vehicle. Thanks for watching,
guys. We'll see you in the next one.
Cars are locked out.
Look at this, bro. There's a coyote way
over there.
