Dominated by the Château des Seigneurs de Vignori,
the Church of St. Etienne was built at the very beginning of the 11th century and consecrated around 1050.
Its charpent, now apparent, its three-level nave and its heart of the church
are a key witness of the pre-Roman architecture in France.
The bell tower was erected in the middle of the 12th century
and the side chapels between the 14th and 16th centuries.
They house a large number of medieval statues,
including several from the 15th-century sculpture workshop of Vignori-Joinville
as well as funerary slabs from the 14th and 15th centuries.
The tabernacle and priest's chair, attributed to Jean-Baptiste Bouchardon,
enrich the Church of St. Etienne of the 18th century.
Classified as a historical monument in 1846, it was restored between 1844 and 1860.
