Yes, you. I mean you.
When was the last time you started something without knowing exactly where it leads to?
Without a goal, without a plan.
Just because the moment felt right.
In everyday life, we usually move in the same patterns.
We made it comfortable for ourselves, in our comfort zone, in our habits.
But there is this one thing, this one feeling, which often goes down in all the noise and the hectic.
When was the last time you just took time for yourself?
No expectations, no pressure, no desire for more.
Close your eyes. Do you hear that?
Very quietly, somewhere far away, in the distance.
On some days you might be able to hear it more clearly.
On others, it's so stormy around you that you don't even know if it's still there.
It's your heart and it's asking you when you're finally taking the first step.
Somehow it's a very special feeling to start now.
I think a very special time is coming up for me in the next few days.
Once the complete set-up here at the start.
The rain protection things for the shoes, pants, jacket, gloves.
In the next 7 to 10 days, the bike should take me about 1000 km through Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
After my start in Hamburg, it took me along the Baltic Sea to Fehmarn,
where I took the ferry to Denmark and some time later to Sweden.
In addition to endless and deserted country roads, huge lakes and nature,
some challenges awaited me on this tour.
I made a joke earlier about how good it is to have a helmet on in the wind.
That really rumbled.
Yes, colleague, I just helped you.
Oh my God.
That can't be true, can it?
It's a joke.
A very bad joke, but ...
Dude, it's really wavy here.
Boy, crazy.
Do you know what it's called when you've understood that?
Life!
And so that you can also start your well-nourished and freshly strengthened next adventure,
I have a little recommendation for you here, namely the ready-made dishes from PrepMyMeal.
When you hear ready-made dishes, you usually think of something super fatty and unhealthy,
but the dishes from PrepMyMeal all come without any artificial additives or added sugar.
They are nutritious and have a very high protein content,
which is of course super important especially in sports and also long-lasting, which makes you full.
At PrepMyMeal you definitely have a huge selection of different dishes,
a total of over 60 different ones and new ones are also added regularly.
The dishes are prepared super quickly, 7 to 9 minutes in the microwave or briefly heated in the pan,
no matter where you are right now, outside in the forest, in the office or at home.
You can prepare the dishes everywhere super quickly.
I think it's a great thing, I think everyone knows that,
if you just don't feel like buying, don't feel like cooking
or maybe just don't have time to do something.
And the nice thing about it, you don't have to have a bad conscience,
because you just pulled in some unhealthy fast food again.
At PrepMyMeal you can put your own box together according to your taste.
For example, I chose the six box with six different vegan dishes.
A little secret tip from me, the bulgur with lentils and butter beans or the green curry, for example.
So, I definitely got really hungry talking about food.
I'll let it taste now and everyone who has also gotten hungry and become curious
and would like to try it yourself, I'll put a link in the video description at the top,
there you come to the side of PrepMyMeal, you can put your own box together
and with the code BUDDY you can save another 5% on your order.
In that sense, meal time.
Moin Moin people, what's up? Welcome to a new video on my channel.
And moin moin fits better today than ever, because we are in Hamburg,
or rather Hamburg, in the background the Elbphilharmonie.
And one or the other is maybe already in the background rather late.
And today we're going on a very special adventure.
Here's a little hint, people.
The helmet sticks like ever, greasy and slimy.
Still the same helmet from the first bike tour.
And here it is already, the ruffled bock.
People, up to the top, packed to the brim.
The ass rocket almost bursting, turbo banana at the start.
And we are here right now, as I said, in Hamburg at the Elbphilharmonie.
There it is. The sun rises there. It's just after eight.
Beautiful blue sky.
I'm very surprised what I got into my pockets this time.
Especially because I'm going to do this tour alone.
Otherwise we always divided a few things among ourselves.
Cooktop, drone and so on and so forth.
Of course, I had to accommodate everything myself this time.
But it worked.
You've already seen a separate video about the equipment.
If you haven't seen it yet, I'll link it to you somewhere here.
And below the video, if you are interested in what is included in detail.
So there was a detailed video last week.
The next seven to ten days I will be on my own.
I had planned for a long time to start a slightly longer bike tour alone.
And I thought, don't push it any longer.
Now it finally has to go.
We start here in Hamburg.
And as a rough goal I set myself Stockholm in Sweden.
That means we will drive through a part of Denmark through Copenhagen.
With the ferry then over to Sweden.
And a little bit through the rural region to Stockholm.
And in that sense I would say, we'll get on the road first.
Drive a few kilometers and then I'll tell you a little bit about the tour.
Madness, people.
The first 100 meters are in.
We roll again.
In the background again the Elbphilharmonie.
Now it goes through Hamburg first.
So, that went pretty quickly now.
We are already leaving Hamburg.
And it goes towards Willinghusen.
We leave the city behind us.
But it doesn't get quieter yet.
I looked at the route a bit beforehand.
A little bit here and there.
Adjusted something.
We will definitely pass a nice part by the Baltic Sea.
We will probably drive the ferry over from Fehmarn to Denmark tomorrow.
Then drive to Copenhagen at some point.
And then in 2-3 days or so with the ferry over to Sweden.
Yes, people.
But this tour here should be a bit different anyway than the tours so far.
We have the goal, the rough goal, Stockholm in mind.
But there will be no fuss, no rush.
Very gentle this time, people.
You don't get younger either, do you?
No kidding.
But this tour should be a little back to the roots, detox tour or whatever you want to call it.
Whether we need 7 or 10 days now doesn't matter at all.
I think it's about 1,000 kilometers.
1,000 or 1,100.
And yes, we just drive them.
And we need the time we need.
The last tours were awesome, no question about it.
It was always fun.
It's also fun to go wild.
And maybe I'll go wild on the tour in between.
But then because I feel like it.
And not because you think you have to break a mile mark or be faster or something.
Straight to the point.
The way is the goal.
Don't get me wrong.
I love just sitting on the bike and going wild for kilometers.
Head out and just drive.
Drive, drive, drive.
But somehow I had the feeling that this mileage on the tours of the last few years
has somehow become a kind of compulsion.
More every day.
And if for some reason you did a little less, you had a bad feeling.
I love cycling.
But if you're already thinking about getting started, you can actually stay at home, right?
By the way, there is a little special thing on the tour.
And that is, this time only as a navigation system and as a camera.
Because from time to time I also do a few recordings with my cell phone.
I thought, guys, this is a bit of a incentive for this tour for me.
That's the reason for me.
Not the only reason for this tour.
I've been wanting to do a bike tour alone for a long time.
But something I've been thinking about and what I've actually been wanting for a long time.
A little social media detox or whatever you want to call it.
Just put the cell phone aside a bit.
I think we all know that.
The thing is probably the most common hand in the ...
The most common hand?
I've already forgotten how to speak.
The thing is probably a little more often in our hands than I and most people actually want.
And somehow it has become a big part of life.
And that's partly okay.
And also makes things a lot easier.
And I don't want to say that super badly.
But sometimes I have the feeling that it has become too much of a part of life.
I wouldn't say that I'm addicted to cell phones.
But I sometimes get caught up in the fact that I have the thing in my hand more often when working.
That it then distracts faster.
Or when you're bored, that you scroll around too much and dawdle around too much.
And that bothers me somehow.
And that's why I thought as a little bonus on this tour.
For the complete experience, I'd say.
The cell phone stays away this time.
I can't do without it.
Or I could.
I could also buy a big map.
A map of the country.
But I have my navigation on it.
I sometimes also film a bit with the cell phone for the video.
Take a few photos.
But I banned the social media apps.
Instagram and Facebook and YouTube and so on.
For this time from the cell phone.
And I also banned WhatsApp.
That means no internet.
No social media.
No communication to the outside world at this time.
I also don't have headphones with me.
I have to say, this is definitely something completely new for me.
A multi-day bike tour alone.
Sleeping alone outside and so on.
I've done everything before.
But not on a multi-day tour.
Maybe one night or so.
That's completely new for me.
And also, if I didn't say that I'm addicted to cell phones.
But for so long without social media.
Without contact to anyone.
That's also something completely new for me.
And I'm super curious what it will do to me in the next few days.
Oh guys, this is wonderful.
Somehow it's a very special feeling to start now.
Out of the city.
This alone is already so beautiful.
Away from the noise.
From the street.
Just feel the wind.
The sun rays.
They still have a lot of power when the sun comes through.
And I always start totally unprepared today.
The last big bike tour was over a year ago.
I haven't ridden any big trails in the meantime.
Completely untrained.
Just looked at the route a bit.
Planned.
Packed things together.
And let's go.
But I'm up for it.
And I think that's enough.
And now we're going along this beautiful bike trail.
Glindetrittaum.
Oh guys, it's unbelievable.
I don't remember anything from here, I have to be honest.
We are in Lütjensee.
And most people probably wouldn't say anything.
And that's not bad either.
But I'm going to a very special place right now.
Which is really right on the track.
Oh guys, this is unbelievable.
We are at Lütjensee.
This is probably 17 or 18 years ago.
Since I was here the last time.
And we're going to drive a little bit through this forest.
That should be right behind it.
There is a campsite or a youth hostel.
And back then, when I was 11, 12, 13 or so,
I took part in the holiday pass.
Maybe some of you know it.
I don't know if it was everywhere in Germany.
In our case, definitely in Lower Saxony.
You could register your children as parents.
And then you could always participate in some things with this holiday pass.
And back then we were ...
I think I even did that two or three years in a row.
Always driven by bus from Oldenburg here to Lütjensee.
And then there was a tent camp here for two weeks.
And we just drive past this place.
Wow, that's really crazy.
I've always wanted to come here again.
And now we're just here.
The lake is currently closed.
Because of blue algae.
But we don't want to go swimming either.
I can remember the lake.
And also some kind of forest path that we took back then.
From the campsite, from the youth hostel to the lake.
I definitely remember that we did a courage test back then.
We were not allowed to leave the tents and walk around outside for a while.
Of course, you were still a little kid.
We did a courage test.
Who dares to go to this lake alone at night.
And then someone should bring seawater in such a Pringles can.
As proof that he was here.
Oh man.
I can't believe it.
That we're just here.
This is where it should be.
Yes.
Yes, unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
JGH Lütjensee.
Youth hostel.
Youth camp.
I have no idea what's going on there now.
If there is any event.
But I'm just going up there now.
I just have to take a look.
My God, guys.
That's unbelievable.
That's so cool.
There were tents everywhere back then.
Now there are little wooden huts everywhere.
Probably equipped here over the years.
But back then these were all white tents.
I have to see if I can find photos of that.
By the way, I just met a woman at the entrance who is responsible here.
I just asked if I could stroll over and have a look.
She said right away, of course.
Oh, wonderful.
I can still tell you exactly where our tent was.
That's awesome.
Right here.
Where these two huts were standing.
Here was the tent where I was in at the time.
These were such big white tents where you were never allowed to come to the tent skin.
Because otherwise water would have gotten through.
And then there were such wooden planks in there.
And on the wooden planks were mattresses, I think.
And then you had your sleeping bag on it.
Our tent was here.
We sneaked out in the evening to meet us at night with the girls' tents over there.
That's so incredible.
And the caretakers were always sitting there by the campfire.
Someone was on guard there.
Here is the fireplace with the large fire bowl.
Over there, this shed.
That was the camp kiosk.
You could always buy things there.
Postcards, I think.
Sweets.
And there was also a children's disco in there.
These were all tents here.
Here is the little playground.
I think it already existed back then.
I can also remember these things in particular.
This little temple here.
I'll see if I still have some pictures from back then.
Which I'll show you here.
These are printed photos.
I think I still have a few of them.
When you did it with such an elevator camera back then.
There's a film in there.
Then you had 20 pictures where you always had to turn a wheel, a ratchet.
Now I'm curious again.
Whether this place still exists.
But it still exists.
But I remembered it very differently.
Here is such a small courtyard.
And down there this table tennis court.
I had my first kiss of my life there.
Is that crazy?
Greetings to Vanessa.
I still have all the other tent camps and camps that were here.
Where I was still there afterwards.
Hoping that she would come back again.
Well, that wasn't the case.
I still really remember.
I was so shy back then.
I think we sat next to each other for five minutes or so.
Before we kissed.
Because I just didn't dare.
Oh man, man, man.
That was a wonderful time.
It feels like nothing has changed.
Children still come here.
And probably have exactly the same experiences as I did.
As we all did here back then.
Who knows how many had their first kiss on the table tennis court.
And who knows how many sneak out of the huts at night.
To meet somewhere and do some nonsense.
I think we always wanted to call Bloody Mary in the bathroom.
But the only one who came, or they came, were the caregivers.
And so it will probably still be.
Everything changes.
And somehow everything stays the same in the end, right?
Strange.
The children are probably just thinking.
What kind of creep is that?
Who pulls around here with his bags.
But wait, wait.
In 15, 16, 17, 18 years you will go here again.
And enjoy your life.
And remember a wonderful, carefree time.
Is that a special moment?
And that right at the beginning of our journey?
For most, this moment may not really be comprehensible.
Logical.
After all, not everyone connects the same emotions with this place.
And yet I wanted to take you with me.
On a little trip into the past.
I am sure, each of us has this one place.
These certain memories.
To a particularly beautiful and carefree time.
To which you like to think back.
And sometimes maybe a little sad.
In life, everything seems to change all the time.
People come and go.
Places suddenly look different.
And sometimes you hardly recognize yourself again.
But if you look closely, you notice ...
Somehow everything repeats itself.
And maybe that's exactly where the peace lies.
To know that everything changes.
But the cycle remains the same.
That you meet yourself again and again.
Only in other moments.
Day 2
Lovely people.
Bright blue sky.
Sun is shining.
And the sea.
Only ...
It's a little cold to bathe now.
No one is in there either, as it looks.
I just drove through Grömitz.
I just bought something at Edeka.
Was a very nice neighbor.
Where I could just put my bike.
That's the thing when you're alone.
Otherwise, there's always one in there.
The other one took care of the bike.
And then the other one.
But that's how it works.
I still have a little backpack on it, as you can see.
It's a mini backpack that you can stow in yourself.
Very, very small pack size.
I have it with me for the first time on this tour.
Because the bags are full.
And ...
I'm going to get the food for tonight.
A little bit of what we have tomorrow morning.
And I think I'll keep doing that.
So you don't have to carry it all day.
But in the evening, when you went shopping.
Load the thing.
And then just somehow ...
From the last supermarket to the sleeping area.
Still looking for a place to sleep.
I'm strolling through the area.
And through the dusk.
As you can see, it's getting dark slowly.
Just had a beautiful sunset.
And ...
Yes.
Now it's time to look for a place to sleep.
The situation looks like this.
Holiday apartment, holiday apartment, holiday apartment,
hotel, holiday apartment.
Pond.
And behind it, Baltic Sea.
And that all the time.
That's a bit of a problem.
It's just, as I mentioned, a very touristic area here.
And accordingly, it's on every parking lot.
And every piece of meadow,
what you see.
Overnight.
Any kind.
Forbidden.
I have now chosen a small place.
A private campground.
Or a farm or something.
Which is marked here.
Let's see if anyone is still there.
I'll ask there.
And otherwise, I don't know.
I'll clap on the next country road.
Drive a few meters away from the Baltic Sea.
And clap on the next country road somewhere.
On a bike path.
Will be somehow.
So, very nice.
Here is the pee-poop house.
Let's see if anyone is still there.
Doesn't look like it.
Light is off.
Wonderful, guys.
You're lucky again here.
I met someone here.
And now I can pitch my tent here in the corner.
Here I can cook something.
And eat.
And here in the corner
I can pitch my tent.
Awesome.
If I want, I can also play a bit in the sandbox.
What more do you want?
Very briefly.
We did 145 kilometers today.
Without looking at the clock.
It just happened.
Not bad, I would say.
But we don't want to rate that on the tour.
It doesn't matter if we drive more or less.
I hope I didn't overdo it.
I feel my knee a little bit.
I often have that on the tours.
I just push it on the over-straining.
This unusual movement.
That you pedal all day.
But I would say,
we first pitch the tent here.
Then there is something to eat.
And then off to the box.
So, ladies and gentlemen.
The pasta is slowly simmering.
Tomatoes.
They are sizzling.
And a nice pesto.
Rustico.
A little bit the more
fattened version of the pasta today.
You have to consider that.
Otherwise we eat twice as much.
Logically.
If two people are there.
Accordingly, it will definitely be enough for me.
I'm really hungry.
I just looked at the recordings from today on the camera.
Actually quite funny.
Now that you don't use your cell phone.
That would actually be a moment
where you would take it in your hand now.
And answer all the news of the day.
Would look again at Instagram.
YouTube and so on.
Would check everything again.
I just looked at the recordings again.
And found out.
It's just one day.
Not even.
I left at half past nine this morning.
So damn much has happened.
At least for me.
If I sit here now and think about it.
You probably know.
If you like to be on the road yourself.
That one.
Even if it is not necessarily
on the bike or on foot.
So far.
But you have the feeling
as if you had made a half world trip.
So people.
I'll let it taste right now.
And say good night.
So people.
That was it with the first part of the bike tour.
If you liked it,
leave a thumbs up.
And don't forget.
If you feel like it,
feel free to stop by at PrepMyMeal.
As I said, with the code BUDDY
you can save up to 5% on your order.
In that sense, I would say
see you in the next video again
next Saturday at 9 o'clock as always
with part 2 of the bike tour.
See you next time.
