Heat. Heat.
I've been living in New York City for
over 3 years now without a car and it's
definitely shifted my priorities when it
comes to my everyday carry. For years,
book bags were mostly an accessory that
only occupied my laptop and a few other
accessories, but mostly served for
aesthetic purposes. But now, spending so
much time on the go, outside, and
traveling, it's shifted my perspective
and how I approach my everyday
essentials for my tech book bag. What's
up, friends? My name is Jossi, and I'm
an exs software engineer chasing my
dreams in New York City.
As I've been upgrading my tech book bag
for 2025, I've been really intentional
about not just the gear I carry, but
also how I invest in accessories that
actually improve my day-to-day life.
That's where today's sponsor comes in. I
partner with CLA to make a few premium
upgrades to my everyday carry. The
Cloner card is basically your debit card
upgraded, and unlike traditional credit
cards, there's no credit impact to
apply, and you can choose to pay now or
pay later. And the Cloner card gives you
different tiers to choose from. So, the
card really fits your lifestyle. The CLA
app makes shopping simple, the UI is
clean, and you can find your favorite
stores offering cash back all without
ever leaving the app. CLA membership
plans are paid monthly subscriptions
that give you access to additional
features and financial benefits beyond
what's offered in the free CLA
experience. With my plus membership,
let's say I want to test out some new
tech or make an unplanned splurge, I can
just pay it back in four payments.
Instead of filling that hit all at once
while also staying financially conscious
of my spending at a glance using CLA app
knowing when I pay in full using my CLA
balance either online or in store with
my CLER card I get rewarded up to 1%
cash back through my plus plan. And if I
keep my money in my CLER balance it
actually earns up to 3.22% annual
percentage yield. So let me show you a
few items I added to my everyday tech
book bag. And some of these items you
can get rewards like cash back using the
CLA app. So the PlayStation Portal, this
one's for downtime. I travel a lot, so
being able to game on the go is
something I've really enjoyed. The
Shocks Open Fit Twos have been great for
when I don't want to carry my overear
headphones, but still want solid sound
and portability.
This is Lealier perfume that I picked up
in Paris, specifically the Opus 3. What
I love about this fragrance is it's
clean, natural, and also doesn't break
the bank. With the Clera app, it's easy
to find your favorite brands, filter by
whether they're a CLA partner or offer
cash back. The Cloner card works
anywhere, not just with integrated
merchants. So whether you're shopping
for a new pair of running shoes, or
grabbing a coffee at your favorite local
cafe, you can add it to your digital
wallet and use it the same way you use
any debit or credit card. So whether
it's tech that makes my life easier or
accessories that give me a boost of
confidence, the Cler makes it simple to
upgrade my tech everyday carry book bag.
Unlock monthly deals and cash back with
Cloner car today. About 80% of you all
are not subscribed and I would greatly
appreciate it if you hit that subscribe
button. We are so close to 200k
subscribers. Literally less than 6,000
subs away. It would mean the world to me
if we hit 200k subscribers now that I'm
doing this fulltime. It's literally my
number one goal for 2025. So, for the
past year, I've been using the Air Fit
Pack 3. It's low profile, structured,
and somehow fits everything I need for
work, workouts, and travel. It's been my
go-to tech bag for days when I'm jumping
between editing sessions, meetings, and
runs. Air has easily become one of my
favorite brands. Their bags seamlessly
fit into my city life with intentional
design made for those on the move and
traveling smarter. I actually featured
their Dling 3 X pack in the EDC video I
posted on the channel earlier this year,
so you should see a toast notification
right now if you want to check that
video out. I think the AirFit Pack 3 is
built for those who live in motion like
myself. It stores all your daily and gym
essentials without extra bulk. The bag
also looks just as good in the office as
it does in the gym. The exterior is made
from an ultra durable ballistic nylon
with smooth YKK zippers and details like
Duraflex hardware scattered throughout
the bag. Inside, there's a suspended
pocket for up to a 16-in laptop and an
antimicrobine interior that keeps
everything fresh. And on the outside,
you get quick access to pockets and two
water bottle holders. And believe it or
not, a lot of travel bags don't come
with one water bottle holder, which is a
dealbreaker for me. And if that isn't
the biggest selling point, my favorite
thing about this bag is the shoe
compartment that can be tucked away when
not being used. And as you can see, I
have my race day shoes, the Vapor Fly 3s
that I've been wearing, and pretty much
all of my Half Marathons tucked away,
very nice and organized in the Air Fit
Pack 3. It's really convenient to be
able to have an extra compartment for
your shoes. I rarely travel with less
than three pairs of shoes. I need a pair
for the sauna or the pool. I need
another pair for running as an avid
distance runner. And then of course, you
need your essential pair when you're
going out to dinner, out and about in a
city, or when I'm at an event for a
creator trip. The M4 MacBook Air and Sky
Blue is the heart of my entire setup. I
edit, plan, and even code on this
machine, and it's still surprises me how
powerful it is without a fan. It's
lightweight, has a massive and vibrant
15-in display, still light enough to
carry around the city. Whether I'm
working away from the office or on a
flight, this is a laptop that keeps
everything moving. I didn't understand
the iPad Mini hype initially, but I get
it now. My iPad Mini 7 is basically my
portable notebook. I use it for
journaling, sketching, and previewing
edits on the go. It fits perfectly in
the iPad sleeve of my Air Fit Pack, and
it's powerful enough that I can leave
the MacBook behind for lighter work days
on the go. This is my main phone of
choice, the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Cosmic
Orange. Initially, I enjoyed the cosmic
orange color, and there are times where
it still looks really good under the
right lighting. I will say though, there
are more times where I'm a bit fatigued
with the colorway, and I feel like there
are less cases that pair well with it
since it's so dang orange. But I use it
for almost every short form clip you see
on my socials. The battery life is
really good. The photos and videos are
just ridiculously good. It's the camera
I always have with me. Pixel 10 Pro has
been my second phone for right now.
who's mostly for testing Android
features right now, but I love foldable
devices when it comes to productivity,
and it's nice to be able to compare to
other devices I've used this year. I
love the flexibility of unfolding it
into a small tablet when editing
thumbnails or brainstorming ideas. It's
one of those devices that reminds me how
fun tech can be and how far technology
has come. This tiny Samsung T7 Shield
hard drive holds everything. It's
rugged, shockresistant, and fast enough
for 4K footage. I've dropped it, tossed
it in the bag, and it works flawlessly.
Every creator should have at least one
of these, especially when you're
traveling. Guys, I barely even have
enough room to place all of the items
that I talk about in today's everyday
carry for my 2025 techbook bag on one
table. But just to kind of set the scene
for today's video, there are so many
different products that I've been
testing over the past year now that I
basically transitioned from being a
software engineer to reviewing tech
products, which is something I'm super
passionate about. And of course, I still
do some programming and testing for
laptop related videos. Like for example,
we did some programming tests with Xcode
using the M4 MacBook Air here. So, be
sure to check out that video. We should
see it pop up right now, but it's always
evolving. I feel like it changes with
the season. There are times where I'm
more busy and I'm traveling a lot, so I
really have to hone in on what makes the
most sense for my everyday carry. I also
test a lot of different wearable
technology. For example, we got the
Apple Watch Ultra Series 3 here that
I've been testing along with Samsung
Galaxy Classic Watch 8. I'll probably
have that name backwards, but I actually
really enjoy this watch because it looks
more like a traditional watch and even
has this rotating bezel. Of course, a
ton of phones. So, the S25 Ultra is
probably my favorite Android bar phone.
And we also have the Pixel 10 Pro Fold,
which I recently got from the Google
Pixel team. So, shout out to them for
sending this over. And I love this
moonstone colorway. And then of course
my daily driver, the iPhone 17 Pro Max
that we're going to be talking about a
little bit later. I think one of the
biggest the two biggest upgrades for
today's everyday carry video that I
haven't had before is one this 16 mm
prime lens, a G lens from Sony that
recently came out that's been an
absolute gamecher for my setup,
specifically my camera setup. It's so
light. The colors and sharpness are on
point and you get quite a bit of bokeh
despite this being an ultra wide lens.
And then last but not least is the
PlayStation Portal which has really
reinvigorated my experience with gaming.
I just find it so much more casual than
turning on the console and needing to be
in a specific location. Charging on the
go has been easy with the Anker Mag Go
power bank that gives me 10,000
milliamps per hour with 30 watts of fast
charging. I love how compact it is. It's
great for fast charging. Can charge an
Apple Watch or phone at the same time.
It also has a very convenient
retractable USBC cable and a smart
display I can't live without because at
a glance I can see the remaining battery
and the different charging inputs and
outputs. For quick cinematic clips, I
bring the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. It's tiny,
shoots 3K log, and tracks me perfectly
while I'm walking through the city. I
use it for a lot of the street shots
you're seeing in this video. It's a
definition of compact creativity. You
probably noticed this doesn't look like
an ordinary credit card, but it's
actually not a credit card. It's a
Bluetooth tracker. The Air Card from
Rolling Square lives in my wallet. It
helps me find my wallet whenever I think
I misplace it from my phone. It's one of
those small pieces of tech you forget
about until it saves you. For audio,
I've been recently testing the PixelBuds
2A. They have balanced sound and a
comfortable fit. As an avid PixelBuds
Pro 2 user, they are technically a step
down from those, but I've been using
them the last few weeks. They are a
solid option for listening to music,
hopping on calls, or if I'm just zoning
out on the subway or at a cafe. Moving
away from tech products to Cadence
Electrolyte hydration drinks. The
packaging they have is so clean. They
have a ton of flavors like this
watermelon mojito. It's been my go-to
pre or postr running workouts. I love it
so much that I have a subscription to
get these delivered to my door every few
weeks. The Lark self-cleaning water
bottle honestly is an aesthetic water
bottle that I can't say I necessarily
need the self-cleaning feature. I know
they do sell other options that are
cheaper if you don't care about
self-cleing, but it purifies water with
UVC light and keeps everything tasting
fresh. No odor, no buildup. Perfect for
staying hydrated on the go. purifies
water with USVC light and keeps
everything tasting fresh. No odor, no
buildup. When traveling or even wanting
to game away from our living room, the
PlayStation Portal has been my downtime
essential. It's reinvigorated my
excitement for gaming. Streaming games
directly from my console feels wild.
It's a perfect balance between play and
portability. This is a Rolex Submariner
Date with reference number 126610
LN. Shout out to my AD for hooking me up
with this watch earlier this year. It
isn't just a watch. It's a time piece.
It reminds me of the work it took to get
here. Durable, timeless, and built to
last, much like the rest of my setup.
And I hope to pass it down one day.
