Hey guys, what's up and welcome to a new video on my channel.
Today is part 3 of the bike tour and before we start I have a short announcement.
My long-time partner Revolution Race has a really cool promotion at the start.
And throughout November you can save a full 25% with the code AB25.
So for everyone who is looking for new outdoor clothing for the fall and the coming winter,
the perfect chance to save a little bit.
I love these things and I'm wearing one of my favorite jackets right now, the Sherpa Fleece.
Perfect all-rounder jacket for the fall, as I think.
Hood is also with a start and that way it's always nice, cozy, warm and fluffy.
At the bottom I wear the Field Pro Warm Outdoor Pants.
Brand new in the Revolution Race range and a pair of pants that are also perfect for the colder season.
You definitely notice it right away, especially when you're out and about,
that the inner fleece makes sure that the heat is not lost.
The pants are also treated with DWR, which means that it is also a bit protected against moisture.
It is very robust, has many pockets.
So, as I think, the perfect pants if you are looking for something nice and robust.
Now especially for the colder season, which keeps you warm outside.
Of course, there is also the right jacket, namely the Field Pro Outdoor Jacket.
The pants and the jacket are suitable for about minus 10 degrees.
So, especially in the set, I would say the perfect combination for the next winter adventure.
Take a look at the page of Revolution Race yourself.
I'll put all the information in the video description at the top, as always.
And with the code ABI25, as already mentioned, you can save 25% on your order throughout November.
If you feel like it, just check it out and I would say we continue with the third part of the bike tour.
A few weeks ago I started my first multi-day solo bike tour.
It should go about 1,000 kilometers from Hamburg to Stochholm in the next 7 to 10 days.
But not only that I will be on this tour alone for the first time.
By the way, I started a little self-experiment.
During the time of the trip, I will completely give up my social contacts and any distractions for the first time.
No cell phone, just for navigation and filming.
No social media, no headphones, no music.
Just the bike, my thoughts and me.
Somehow it's a very special feeling to start now.
I think a very special time will come to me in the next few days.
In this fast-paced time, in which we can simply scroll our thoughts away
and being alone and bored have become our biggest enemy,
I'm curious what that will do to me.
Do you know what it's called when you've understood that?
Life!
After my start in Hamburg, the way led me along the Baltic Sea to Fehmarn,
where I took the ferry to Rødbyhorn in Denmark.
Along beautiful alleys it went on, over dirt roads, country roads and countless bridges.
I don't know what else to say. The day is getting better and better.
Definitely about 25 kilometers to Copenhagen.
As always, I'm just going straight ahead.
I'm actually just driving one straight road.
It's still a bit along the water.
And then we're actually earlier than expected in Copenhagen.
The third day ends for me in Helsingör, the city at the narrowest point of the Öresund.
Sweden was close at hand.
Day 4 starts in an accommodation right at the port of Helsingör.
Not only the batteries of the camera urgently needed new juice,
also a shower was so slowly bitterly necessary.
With the ferry it went over a short time later to Helsingborg in Sweden.
So, 20 minutes later, we're in Sweden.
Hey, hey, from Sverige.
Oh, and for those of you who are interested, the ferry leaves in half an hour,
takes about 20 minutes and costs 7.50 euros by bike.
I don't know if you could theoretically go back with that.
But I think so.
I think it's like the other ferry to Denmark.
The first kilometers in Sweden took me quite quickly out of the city
and away from the water, into the country.
With its about 10 million inhabitants, Sweden is one of the thinnest-settled countries in Europe.
Just 24 inhabitants make up one square kilometer.
For comparison, in Germany there are 236.
The streets became quieter and forests and meadows became my new companions.
Oh, I love these streets.
Nice gravel road, but still very easy to drive.
Beautiful landscape, meadows, hills.
Every now and then a little house here in the middle of the forest.
And through it leads this peaceful, lonely gravel road.
But you definitely notice, now here already in the first kilometers,
well, a few are already, I don't know, 50, 60 or so, that I'm driving through Sweden,
out of the city.
It's definitely getting more and more unpopulated.
You can see the roads here, wonderful.
Of course, it's not the whole country that is like that.
In between you have villages, but they are usually very, very small.
From today we have to time a bit with the supermarkets,
that you take good care of yourself and look early enough in the evening,
where you can control the last supermarket.
Of course, the further north you go, the more thinly populated the country is.
We are now more in the south, to Stockholm, where everything is still possible.
But you definitely notice it, you notice a difference.
Not so many people who come your way here anymore.
The next few hours mainly led me over small gravel roads,
past abandoned farms, and I met more animals than people.
So, other animals than humans.
During a short break on a field, however, something strange occurred to me.
Guys, I'm just peeing here,
and over there you can hardly see sheep,
and I'm very unsure right now,
whether that won't come up back there.
There are also these warning signs on such meadows,
I know that in Germany, when sheep are lying on their backs,
that you should somehow help them.
So it looks to me as if it won't come up anymore, right?
I'm going to go up to the farm up there and let them know.
Hello?
Somebody here?
Oh, man.
Shit, it's still there.
Who knows how long it's been there.
There is no one here.
But I can't go over the horse meadow now.
I have to do something.
Okay, **** it.
I'm going over the fence now.
The farmer will understand that.
Are sheep attacking?
Actually not, right?
If I go to the meadow now,
one doesn't look so happy, he's looking at me.
Yeah, I don't know what else to do now.
There is no one here.
I have to do something now.
It definitely won't come up anymore.
I probably just have to give it a push.
I've never done anything like that before.
But I know that some sheep can be greedy.
I'll make a big arc here.
They were all very loud here just now.
There he is back there.
He can't turn around 100% alone.
Guys, I've never seen anything like this in real life.
I only know all these warning signs
that sometimes stand on pines
so that the sheep can't turn around.
Okay, now he's panicking because he sees me.
He hears me.
Now he's scared.
Maybe he'll make it.
I'll help you, colleague.
All right, please don't.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
I'll help you.
Yes, great.
Very good.
Yes, colleague.
I just helped you.
Dude.
Adrenaline.
Boy, don't yell at me like that.
I saved your life.
Madness.
Now he's standing there all confused.
I don't even know how this happens
that sheep sometimes can't turn around.
Whether that's because they have too much wool or something.
That they can't get up anymore.
I don't know.
No idea.
One thing is for sure.
You've seen it.
A very small bump.
It helps sometimes.
And that's enough for the sheep to turn around again.
If I hadn't stopped here at this hut
to pee here,
I would have heard
that this sheep makes such strange noises.
Then I looked there and saw
that it was scrambling around.
Who knows,
then the thing would have been dead for a few hours.
Hey, what an action.
Take care, my friend.
Maybe that was his way of saying thank you
to yell at me like that.
The fact that bred sheep
are lying on their backs again and again
and can no longer get up on their own
may sound funny at first.
But if you look closer,
it's nothing more than that.
The fact that animals are sometimes helpless
has only to do with properties
that people have bred them to or away.
So we took the ability of the sheep,
for example,
the ability of his ancestors
to change the fur completely normally.
Especially in the hot summer months
the skin itches under the weight of the fur.
The animals throw themselves on their backs
to scratch themselves
and can no longer get up on their own
in some cases.
But not only the thick fur
makes it difficult for some animals
to get back to the horizontal.
Many so-called meat breeds
have a particularly wide cross
and short legs
that make it even more tedious to straighten up.
Pregnant animals have it even harder.
If no one rushes to help,
the sheep now faces a painful death.
In the panx,
in the stomach of the sheep,
digestive gases accumulate
that suppress the animal from the inside
and slowly suffocate it.
With a small, careful shovel
you can help the sheep to straighten up again.
By the way,
to sustainably do something
against this suffering,
you can simply
give up animal products
such as wool, milk or meat
and choose alternatives.
A little later,
the supermarket is found
and I present my purchase of
I got a little more on purpose
I think we'll get water
somewhere on the way
fill up here
a few tomatoes
I still have half a pack of spaghetti
somewhere in there
which will be available this evening
together with the tomatoes
and the vegan Greek cheese here
banana and apple for in between
here again a little something
for a quick sugar shock
can of baked beans
that comes with the noodles
and guys, that's it
I love this bread
absolute favorite bread
the backpack has already paid off
made
it's really great
so you can still eat a little
now just for the
less populated areas
I prefer to have a little more food
in my backpack
Oh, and if you really need it
I still have the Grail water filter with me
then I can just go to the lake
and prepare a little drinking water
filter
so water-wise
I should be quite well equipped
with the many lakes that are here
we leave the
next bigger place
Hesleholm
and I set myself a small goal
on the map
looks quite exciting
could be a pretty cool place to sleep
however, there are still a few kilometers
until then
and I hope
that we will reach it in the light
that would be really cool
I'm really looking forward to it
turbo banana is at the start
so nothing can go wrong
looks like I could make it
the sun is just disappearing
on the horizon
a really nice sunset
and
there are still
5 kilometers
to the place that I have chosen
and I hope that's something
it's getting chilly
oh guys
I don't even know where to start
I'm completely out of myself
I made it
I'm at the place I really wanted to go
it was worth it
I don't even know what to tell you
I put on my jacket
because it's really chilly
especially when you're sweating
it's so wonderful
we're in the middle of the forest
now
I could cry
I don't need to say anything
really
that's why I wanted to go to Sweden on my bike
do you hear that?
me neither
a nice table
and another table
and
a nice shelter
it's a small fire place
and that's
my shelter for the night
I'll put my tent back in there
like I did last time
someone even left a tarp
here
it's really nice
oh
you can close it
probably when it's raining
I don't know
here's a folding spade
probably for going to the toilet
I don't know
and
what's that?
someone forgot his cutlery
or is it for the public?
well
on the board are some information
how to behave
in Sweden
everyone has the right
that means
nature is accessible
to everyone
and as long as you respect
nature
and respect others
you can sleep outside
there are even huts
with firewood
I know
how to run my business
in the forest
here's the folding spade
so you don't leave
your trash
you know
and so on
and this
shows how modern
this place is
probably because
there are a lot of canoeers
in the summer
I've never seen
a firewood
you can download
an app
and buy
firewood
I've got my phone
I'm on social media detox
and I've downloaded
all the apps
and messages
I'll download the app
and see
if there's firewood
40 Swedish crown
and
let's see
what happens
no way
that's not possible
that cost 3,60 Euro
Sweden
I love you
and that's not all
I have to run again
the fire is burning
meanwhile
it's completely dark
there's the moon
in the water
beautiful
the first stars appear
that's a goosebumps moment
the fire is burning
enough firewood
and
my camp for the night
cozy, isn't it?
and what makes it even better?
the pasta
that's a goosebumps moment
with the stars
the fire
I think I've arrived
I've been here all the time
it's been fun
but
this is my favorite evening
if you can say that
I don't want to say much
the day was awesome
I sweated a lot
the fire dried everything
the night should be fresher
but I've found
a nice place to sleep
I'll eat
and then I'll go to bed
and then
it's time to say
good night
the road is cold
sun on our skin
sleeping under stars
when it's cold
I was just
calling
to see if
you're free
to run away with me
to run away
with
me
the baked beans
are sizzling
some bread
some hummus
and breakfast
in bed
with this view
what else do you want?
I don't know what it was
maybe the mystic forests around me
the silence
or the foggy lake
maybe the experiences
of the last days
probably a mix of everything
but this morning
I had the feeling
that the fog in me was dissolving
what could be more beautiful
than these beautiful
Swedish
mystic forests
covered with moss
these forests have something special
something fairy-tale
look at the rocks
covered with moss
the sun
shining through
a beautiful forest
a few birches
leaves, firs
I don't know how often
I've said it on this tour
that it's so beautiful
but seriously
the world and nature
is beautiful
it doesn't matter where you are
the most beautiful
is in every little grassland
in every stone
in every tree
it's so beautiful
you get into a different mood
in the morning
nature is a miracle
if you think about it
look at this
how did this happen?
how could this happen?
something breathtaking
it all works
because it's an eternal cycle
an ever-repeating cycle
in which every little thing
every little plant
fulfills a purpose
and now you can
see it like this
it just happened
the other planets
and in the end
nature is just nature
it doesn't want to be beautiful
it doesn't want to be liked
look at this
this little overgrown bridge
I can't believe it
nature doesn't want to be liked
it doesn't want to be beautiful
it doesn't want to be admired
it's just there
and in the middle of it
we humans
one of many animal species
on this planet
with the special feature
that we can perceive it
that we, this big whole
which is actually just
a habitat for animals
a huge cycle
of life and death
and always the same
hunt, eat, collect
then something dies
and feeds the next
it's just a show place
but we humans
somehow developed the ability
to perceive it
this view of things
I don't think that somewhere
a fox stands in the forest
and says
look at this wonder of nature
no, this is a habitat
and I or we
we can stand here and look at it
and maybe the wonder is exactly in it
that in the end
everything is just as it is
but it
that is how we see it
not that we see a tree
or a stream
but how we see it
nature invites you to dream
and now the leaves are falling
in the autumn wind
my god
what did we humans do
that we lost the view
for all of this
that we stare at screens
it's not bad that we do that
but that we do it so often
that this becomes our new world
that we only lose ourselves in hectic
and in everyday life
that it's only about
so many externalities
what kind of house do I have
what kind of car do I drive
it's all there
we just forgot to see it
or I think we didn't even forget
we just forgot
that it's there
because so much other
wants our attention all day
because it screams here
and here in our head
and we distract ourselves here
always distract
always be somewhere else
mainly not here
because being here and now
sometimes means pain
because sometimes thinking
means reflecting
because it could suddenly be
that you don't see things
as you assumed
how they are
and we try to avoid that
our brain tries to avoid that
and that's why it loves routine
and equality
but our heart
wants something else
of course the head is important
but
the head can also put barricades
in the way
and I think that's crazy
in the end two people
can experience the same day
from morning to evening
and one says
man that was a shitty day
everything was ----
and the other says
today was the most beautiful day of my life
well guys
maybe you should say that every morning
let's make today the most beautiful day of our life
you make today
the most beautiful day
of your life
yeah around me feels so heavy
but depleted
but I find this the place
to test myself
cause it's here
where I lay
in my blanket of despair
where I'm weak
but I'm strong
and black smoke fills
the air
where I'm burned and broken
battered, bruised, I'm blind
but I'm seeing
I'm lost and found
and almost drowned
I'm so far from believing
oh
the streets just belong to me
I've been driving
for an hour
maybe a little longer
this street here
and we are
exactly three cars
passed me
you can just drive in the middle of the street
nobody comes here
I spent the rest of the day
alone on the endless
roads of Sweden
good that I had some extra
food for the last shopping
through the colorful autumn landscape
through tiny villages
forests and past
beautiful lakes
oh
so Sweden
can
cycle paths
or just streets
but this
is a typical
cycle path
I have to say
it's a very
varied tour
from Hamburg
to the Baltic Sea
by ferry
through Denmark
to the Baltic Sea
this beautiful section
before and after Copenhagen
and now these dense forests
everywhere colorful leaves
colored by autumn
huge lakes
asphalt roads
you can drive
gravel passages
through the forest
up and down
everything at the start
what a ride
and by the way
we are going there
it's a village
in about 10 kilometers
there is a special place
on the map
where we will stop
when we are there
look
so
we arrived
not completely
at the end of the trip
but at the special
place
near Ryd
this place has a story
you will see more
we are in a swamp
and here lived
a man
who collected cars
he died
and the cars were forgotten
they are still here
in the forest
slowly rotting
all the way
everywhere
there are cars
I think
they were pulled out
from the bog
and put here
so they don't sink
and now it's like
a museum
with scrap cars
or
what is left
here is a small workshop
and
there is a story
I think
the man who lived here
was called
Ake or
Orke
I don't know
how to pronounce it
but I will show you
some information
it's crazy
no matter where you look
everywhere
car wrecks
are pulling the way
beetles
eaten by the rust
car doors
in the trees
a mystical place
deep in the forests
of southern sweden
there is a place
where time has stopped
between moss, trees
and rusty metal
hundreds of cars are lurking
which are slowly taken in
and swallowed by the bog
rusty wrecks
from the 1930s to the 1970s
Orke Danielsson
a former peasant
bought the forest at the end of the 1940s
the business with the peasant
became unprofitable
so Orke concentrated on
collecting cars
at first he used the cars
as spare parts
later he just left the bodies
because he couldn't dispose of them
around 1990 he stopped
the business
because he moved to a nursing home
in 2000 Orke died
and his car collection
is a testimony of the past
and an impressive example
how nature regains its habitat
I think it's crazy
when you are in places
where you have been
with a car
it's been 3 or 4 years
since I was here
we spent the night
with the car
and the next day we looked at it
and now I'm here with my bike
I didn't expect that
and on we go
back to the country road
that was our little visit
here in the car cemetery
Ritt or near Ritt
I will drive down the road
to the village
there I will look
if I can buy something
and if I can pass
somewhere
where I can get food
and then we will see
where the wind will lead us
to the swedish roads
it should
even if it doesn't look like it
the next days will be
really windy
and rain
let's see
I hope the wind
stays on our side
so let's go
