I TAPPED OUT.. BRUTAL PRO CHARGED TOYOTA CHASER FROM HELL

It's kind of perfect JDM with a bit of NASCAR.
Real!
This car is not to be messed with!
All right guys, yes, we are back with another crazy runway feature,
with another crazy car.
In fact, it's got to be one of the most crazy chases out there,
with a crazy driver.
We have Hayden here.
Bro, welcome to the channel.
Thank you.
Now, we've actually met on numerous occasions,
because, again, you've supported my event, Gaston Track.
You're one hell of a drifter,
and that's actually the purpose of this video.
How fast were you this time around at Gaston Track?
148.
148 mile an hour drift entry.
Didn't quite beat Bagley, next year.
Bagley got 150.
Yeah, yeah.
So close.
So, only beaten by two miles per hour,
but the fact that you're still driving this down a straight,
pulling the hydro at 148 mile an hour,
and making it round the bend,
is absolutely insane.
Now, this doesn't have the engine
that a chaser would originally come with.
This was a granny spec import,
super clean, like show and clean import from Japan,
with a 1J in it.
And we just stripped absolutely everything.
Mark Two Roads just took it down to the bare shell,
seam welded it,
and everything that's back in it
is nothing to do with the chaser.
Oh, but it's all right.
But you've made it faster.
Absolutely.
And more good at what it's meant to do.
Can we actually pop the bonnet
and talk about what's going on under there?
Because it's big.
Look at that.
That is a big old lump, Hayden.
That is absolutely insane.
So, it's an LS engine.
It is an LSX.
It's Alley block.
We did have a steel one in it originally,
but we saved 40 or 50 kilos by going Alley.
It's got the Pro Charger on there
for noises and extra zoominess.
Oh, look at that.
That is a big old Pro Charger.
For people who don't know what a Pro Charger is,
it's kind of a mix between a supercharger and a turbo.
It's kind of a turbo that works like a supercharger, right?
Yeah, it is a supercharger.
It works just the same as a turbo,
but it's belt driven.
So, it's always there.
It gives you really smooth, linear power delivery.
It's not coming on like a turbo
and taking you by surprise.
It's just always there.
Sure, sure.
And what kind of power would this engine produce?
Just over 1,000 horsepower.
And you were saying, at Gaston Track,
when you took the exhaust off,
because it's unsilent.
Yeah, when we took the exhaust off,
it was probably closer to 1,100.
So, we've got an American lump in a Japanese car.
It's kind of a perfect JDM with a bit of NASCAR.
There you go, there you go.
These are known for making a lot of power,
LSX engines, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Are you leaning on this engine and this build at the power,
or could you run it...
No, I think we could certainly run it more the...
I don't know.
The supercharger,
the speed of the revolutions of the supercharger
is a limiting factor.
And the real thing that limits it is the exhaust.
Because we're trying to squeeze this lump
into any chassis, really,
just getting the headers and getting the gas out
is the tough bit.
So, the exhaust restricts the power.
Okay, fair play.
Well, this is crazy.
Can we walk and talk around some of the interior stuff
and perhaps even the transmission?
Yeah, so, 660,
because this makes 1,200 newton-metres of torque,
there's not many sequentials that are rated for that.
All the ones that are used in drifting
are kind of good for maybe 1,000,
so I didn't want to put something in it
that was going to break straight away.
So, the 6XD is a reassuringly expensive option
that does take the power,
and it's smooth like butter.
Lovely.
So, it's a H-pattern six-speed?
No, it's a sequential.
Oh, so it is a sequential?
Yeah, it is.
I've never even heard of that gearbox.
Again, my knowledge is really being tested here today.
I should know this.
So, it's a sequential?
It is a sequential.
The original box I had in it
was an H-pattern dog box, a G-force,
and this actually uses the same gears inside,
but it's built stronger,
and it's touch wood.
It's taken the power so far.
So, you've got the MoTeC dash too?
Yeah, MoTeC.
Is it on MoTeC ECU?
Yeah, MoTeC ECU and PDM.
So, yeah, it knows everything that's going on.
Every sensor goes back to that PDM.
You can program it to do anything.
Mate, I love this.
And what's quite funny is,
usually with a four-door drift car,
you're really only using the front seats.
People just kind of weld the doors shut.
These still work, right?
We've got it all going on.
Show us what's going on in there.
Yeah.
That is cool as hell.
Look at that.
So, we've obviously got the fuel tank,
and it's dry sump,
so the oil all comes back here.
We've got rear rad as well.
So, what it does mean is that
underneath the car,
you've got two fat exhausts,
you've got water running back and forth,
and oil running back and forth.
Okay, okay.
So, the floor pan is like melting your shoes.
Oh, really?
It gets really, really hot in there.
That's great.
So, this is essentially like the bulkhead.
The nice thing about that is
it keeps all the smoke.
You know, I've never had a drift car
that lets less smoke in.
Oh, really?
It's quite efficient, isn't it?
It's pretty clear in the front.
Most importantly, though,
I see you've got a vintage coat hanger there,
because why not?
Because where are you going to put your coat?
When you're drifting your 1,100 brake horsepower drift car,
sometimes a gentleman must hang his coat.
Exactly.
Rear axle, LSD setup.
Yeah, it's a two-way tub.
It's basically a standard chaser
built by Garry's D as a tow-by-two way.
Okay.
Driving this in a straight line,
does it stay in a straight line?
Can it stay in a straight line?
Like any nicely set-up drift car,
it feels like you're driving on pins
once it's going fast.
Okay, okay.
So, as soon as it's sideways,
it feels really planted, really nice to drive.
Going fast in a straight line,
it feels on edge.
It's exciting.
I like the word exciting.
You brought it back there.
On edge was scaring me,
but these cars are so intimidating.
Just the builds,
and I know the money
that you guys put into these cars
and the development and the time and effort
just to have this here
and go up and down the runway
and it is amazing,
but I know these are built for purposes.
However, today, yes,
we're keeping it in a straight line.
Yeah, we're not going sideways.
Hopefully, it stays in a straight line,
is all I can say,
but Hayden,
thank you for giving us
a nutshell talk around this car.
I know we could go on forever
because there's a lot involved into this build,
an amazing build,
but again, the proof of the pudding
is in the eating.
So, shall we hit the runway?
We should go first.
Let's go, brother.
All right, guys.
So, I am with the main man, Hayden.
Brother, we're about to go.
Do you know what?
I love this, too.
Hayden's so calm.
He's so sedate.
He's so chill.
I mean, the top's doing all the talking, really,
to tell the truth,
but once he actually gets behind the wheel,
you're an animal.
I've seen you.
You're a beast.
I can tell.
Oh, my God.
From Georgia.
I have never heard
Is that the wavescape
or is that the bro charge of breathing?
What is it?
It is the wavescape
and it just gives you a feeling.
It's not even a noise, is it?
That is unreal.
This is unholy.
Oh, my God.
Mate, this is brutal.
What map was that?
Have you only got one map, I guess?
Yeah.
The only way to change the map
is to change the pulley.
I've got you.
Mate, this is savage.
Oh, my God.
That's red light, yeah?
That's red light.
We literally passed it out.
That is crazy.
The way it gets through the gears.
Are you moderating it with the problem?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It'll spin.
The problem I'm having,
particularly at the event,
it's like it's inner wheel spinning.
So, guys, this is literally my first time
ever driving something as wild as this
in a chaser.
I want to say this might actually be
the first time I've drove a chaser.
I think it is.
But even if I have, it doesn't matter
because this ain't no chaser anymore.
It looks like one.
It's quite interesting.
Having two big poles here.
It's like, which one do you pull here?
It's dual-caliber,
so when you're slowing down,
using that is separate to the other brakes.
Oh, really?
So I pull that a little bit.
Okay, cool.
I'll try and use the brake,
but if I'm getting out,
we'll see.
We'll see.
All right.
So clutching, using...
When it's sequential,
we use the clutch in these, basically.
We can't flat-shift drifting,
so we don't set it up for it at all.
That makes sense.
All right, cool.
Let's get a little sight in.
Oh, that feels powerful.
Pulls away really nicely, though.
Look at that.
It drives like a regular car, really.
I can't wait.
Enjoy it.
I can't wait.
It's crazy.
We'll go for a second.
We'll ease off.
We'll see how it goes.
Oh, my God.
Jesus Christ.
You're all right.
Yeah, you missed.
Wow.
This is no joke.
Yeah, the back end is lively.
Yeah, yeah.
Wow.
Okay, yeah.
Honestly, I feel so powerful driving it, man.
It's crazy.
All right, second gear.
We're on it.
This is crazy.
I had to lift because it sounded like it was hazing the wheels in top gear there.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what we get.
What is this?
Guys, this is scary.
This is a handful.
Wow.
This car is not to be messed with.
I'm not lying, yeah?
Do you know how scary this thing is to drive?
It is literally.
It is a monster.
The crazy thing is it feels so scary, but it feels quite controllable.
It's a weird belly.
It's a weird place.
There's aeroplanes and everything going on.
It's safe because it's had like seven years of setup just tweaking it, and it's not meant
to go in a straight line, but it kind of can.
Mate, what have you built?
This is wild.
How do I look individually?
Do a red button.
Red button.
One more.
Yeah, that's it.
Mate, honestly, this is...
Driving this car, I feel like I've got a lot of responsibility.
Do you know what I mean?
It feels like if my right foot is a little bit too heavy, it could be night-night.
Bro, it's so fast.
It's so aggressive, but it makes me feel like a man.
Yeah, it does.
It makes me feel like a man.
Oh, my God.
But before we do go, guys, yes, we're going to do something because we can.
So, Hayden, you pulled up today...
Well, you brought this on the trailer, but you pulled up in your daily.
Yeah.
What is your daily?
It's an F63E Mercedes.
A Mercedes S63.
Literally, it's a beautiful car.
How much power?
It's the V8.
It's doing about 600 horsepower, and there's another 200 horsepower.
So, we've got over 800 brake horsepower in an S-Class.
It's black.
It's a saloon.
It's German.
It's got massage seats.
Two different worlds collide in.
We've got them both here.
Should we get them to race?
I think we should.
What we'll do also is we've got your mate, a good friend, Drifter, who's N2.
He's going to hop in the S-Class, and he's going to race you in this, yeah?
Yeah, sounds good.
Why not? Let's do it.
Let's go.
Ready?
This time...
That thing is quick.
Chaser handed out gaps all day.
That is mad.
Listen, that Chaser is no joke.
What a way to finish.
Check out Hayden down below in the description.
I'll leave links to all his socials and everything like that.
