All race stages from day #2 of Trans Madeira 2025 - enjoy!
We're back for day two of racing the Trans Madeira and yesterday I somehow managed to land myself in
fourth place overall. It was two minutes behind the leader Alex Rideau, who apparently doesn't
believe in braking, but just three seconds off a podium third place position. Today's the day
to start clawing back time in another full-on day of racing across a different part of the island,
so let's drop straight into the action and get started. Moving camp, all the luggage in there.
Cheers.
Yeah, we're good.
oh my god
How slippy was that? Yeah. Oh my god. Those berms look disgusting in the wind.
Rider.
Rider. Rider. Rider. Thank you.
Sorry. That's all right.
Is it recording? Yours is recording, yeah. So it's number three, right? Yeah. That's a savage climb.
All right, another one.
Get it. Enjoy, good luck. Good luck, enjoy.
I did not find that one easy.
That was so f*****g difficult, man. You had to pedal the whole time.
Well, I mean, you're safe.
Oh, no.
Lucy through the finish.
When it's really struggling with no flow and you have to get a turn,
it just sucks all your energy and speed.
You almost can't stop pedaling.
Yeah.
Oh my god.
Jesus.
That was full on. Hard to see the sun and pretty slippy.
Sun's dark at temperature and intensity is starting to take its toll a bit.
Really good.
But it's a long way to get into the descent.
Is this flashing red?
Yeah, it's red, bro.
All right.
Anyway, little one.
No worries, it's okay.
It's quite fun.
Dude, you look very f*****g good at the balls.
Holy s**t.
I was trying to hold you on for the other one.
That was f*****g fun.
I mean, the top was gruelling.
The bottom of that was one of my favourite bits there.
Yeah, you just let off.
Oh my god, it's so sick.
Mate, you pulled so much to the top.
Oh, and the pedals.
I could hear you, actually, when we were overtaking someone.
I could hear you pull back time.
No, you didn't ever hold me up.
That was good.
Have a good one.
Yeah, bro, great.
All right.
It's like ice.
Let's go, boys.
That was slippy.
It was really difficult at the bottom to know how to push it.
Yeah.
I really backed off though.
Yeah.
Did you go good?
It was all right.
Pushed a little bit too much and then made a few mistakes,
then kind of settled into it.
Go good?
Good, I think.
I've had an amazing time.
Good s**t, mate.
Ryder!
Good.
Ryder!
On your left.
Oh.
Oh, no.
That was fun.
Thank you.
That was a close call.
I was so close to the tree.
Thanks.
That's day two done.
We're at a new location today.
New campsite.
Staying here tonight and then we're going somewhere else in the islands race tomorrow.
Real tired now.
Yeah.
Really physical stages.
Feeling it.
Need to get some food.
Get the bike sorted.
Give the bike to the mechanic overnight.
And go and get the timer chips in, see how we ended up,
which I'll put on the screen now so you can see the progress
and see where we are in the results.
And yeah, all this was shot on the Insta360 X5.
All my settings have been on the screen now so you can just plug and play.
But 360 mode, best camera for that stuff.
See you for day three.
