If you've ever wondered what real German food tastes like, not just what's on the menu,
but what's in the heart of Bavaria, you're about to find out. Today we're in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
at one of the most beloved local restaurants, Gasthaus Rauhwaffels, where tradition,
comfort, and flavor come together in the most authentic way. Welcome to what might just be
the best German food ever. Located along Zuspikstrasse, Gasthaus Rauhwaffels isn't
flashy, and that's exactly why locals love it. It's a great place that feels like homecoming,
where the wooden beams, friendly chatter, and the scent of roasting meat
wrap around you like a warm blanket.
Nice Gasthaus.
Well, the very first restaurant, German authentic food that we have in here in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
I'm not sure what exactly is inside, but it looks scrumptious, and we have the gravy,
everything. We have the red cabbage, so I am ready to take a bite.
This tastes great. I don't know exactly how they prepare this. It is wonderful. It is potatoes,
but this is delicious.
Seasoned to perfection.
Very chewy.
This is delicious. It's crunchy.
Easy. That just comes right off the bone. Look at that. Oh my god. That is awesome.
Seems like you got the hair with both hands. Yeah, just like that. Oh my god.
Everybody just fell off the bone. I turned it over, and it just, wow.
Wow, look at that. Down to the bone.
I'm so excited about this dish.
That's a lot of meat. Okay, so our suggestion is to come hungry. Good, great texture, gravy.
Oh, wow.
I'll give it eight bucks.
Vegetables.
My question is, are you full yet? Are you getting there? I'm getting there. I'm almost there.
It's just that this is so delicious that I need to stop, but I don't want to stop.
I don't want to stop, but I need to stop. The red cabbage is delicious as well.
We got to have lots of water. Lots of water. And this is what they call mineral still water.
I think it's the end of the story.
This food was so delicious and wonderful, we just had to come back a second time.
Someone once said, it's better the second time around. So today, we're going to check it out.
We're here together at the guest house here in Garmisch, and we're going to go in and do a
nice meal tonight. We're going to share that meal with you. Bon appetit. It's delicious.
I'm ready for it. Yep, this is very good.
Oh, it's great.
This seasoning is just perfect.
Oh my gosh. Is that the crispy side?
Oh my gosh. I tell you what, gravy is rich.
All done. That was plenty enough for me.
I'm just about finished too, but I wasn't trying to rush it. I know we wasn't trying to rush it,
but I wanted it to be slow, but it's so delicious.
It is so, so delicious.
This is authentic Garmisch food. Want some more cabbage?
Oh, no thank you. I've eaten all of mine.
What about potato salad?
Oh, absolutely.
What about some more meat?
No, no, no. This is all I can stand.
Working too hard.
Delicious. I think I'm finished now.
Yep, I'm finished.
One last piece right there.
We did it. Boy, that was a wonderful meal. We really enjoyed it.
I tell you what, now it's time to walk it off.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, I think it's time to walk it off.
Yeah, we can walk this off.
See you next time.
