We're leaving France for a region of the
world you know less well, well,
I don't really think so. Hollywood,
here's the info for the
craziest comedy of the summer. We're very happy to
welcome Jennifer Lawrence and her
co-star.

[Applause] Are we
going to get into the song?
Oh yes,
well, in the film

In the film, we hear this too

Anyway, welcome Andrew and
welcome Jennifer. I present to you
the man who knows France best out
of all of France. Yes, yes, yes, yes,
yes! If you have a question for
him about our country, don't hesitate, he's
here.
Jennifer, what do you know
about France? Noisy-le-Grand?
Absolutely not, I don't know anything about
it. Noisy-le-Grand?
Yes, it's true, we filmed here for a while,
it was great. Oh my! Is
it Realities
[Music]
of the filming, what do you
know about France besides Noisy-le-Grand?
To be perfectly honest, nothing at all.
Actually,
the 7th arrondissement, which was built, and my
summer bedroom, and the Eiffel Tower. When I arrived,
I imagine it's right next door.
Today,
both of you, one day you're a
huge Disney fan. I think you
know all the parks in the world. So
you went to Disneyland
Paris.
So we're going to see the footage from
the London premiere. It was yesterday.
You're both in the company of... We're
going to see... The director, Jean Ski,
in English the film is called No Hard
Feelings, in French the challenge, because
here we translate English titles with
English words. A pure,
joyful, and wacky comedy with a
politically incorrect premise. And Jennifer,
explain the premise of the film to us, knowing
that here on French TV you can
say anything, even swear words. Jennifer [

who has a house she inherited from her
mother, but her taxes are increasing
enormously, and she drives an Uber. She
needs a... She loses her
car, so she finds a classified
ad online saying she
can go out with the somewhat antisocial son
to get the car.
Jérôme, you're doing well,
look at the images. The film is
in French theaters on June 21st.

When you read the script and
saw that Jennifer Lawrence was going to
ask if she could
touch your sausage, how did you
react? How did
I behave as a
character? How did she
behave? We can really see best
friends, so it's great. Ambre, you
really liked the film? Yes, I think
what makes the film so strong is a
balance, or rather a meeting of
the right project and the right casting. Andrew,
you don't want me to start by
talking about Jennifer Lawrence, with an
observation to begin with: we had
never seen you in a 100%
comedy like this one, which seems
crazy because apart from that, you
ticked all the boxes. Bingo, already a
film! Proof: adventure saga, yes!
Complex drama with an Oscar in the bag, yes!
Saty, blue superhero, yes! It's about
ecology, it's about society, yes!
Filmed in space, yes! Horror film,
yes! But no silly comedy. Yet, without even
seeing it in theaters, we already know
you're very funny. You're a
Hollywood actress with the most
humor and self-deprecation. On the internet,
you can find videos
called "Jennifer Lawrence Compilation
Funny Moments Part 40,"
each 13 minutes long. There are
comedians whose job it is who do
n't have as much as you. You confided
in an interview that you dreamed of doing
a comedy and that you were waiting for the
right one, and the right one was this one. You
were won over by the script, and as we
've said, the dialogues are extremely
funny. But while for you it was just a
matter of filming yourself, for this film
you had to give a real
performance: stunts, grimaces, dancing,
breaking doors, violence against customers,
handling dangerous wild animals,
plus realistic means of
transport in the car. Outside of the
car, it's a role that
pushes everything to the limit. If it were played
straight, the film would end up being
trashy, but no, it's played by a seasoned,
Oscar-winning actress. You do it with
impressive precision, and it's the
same for you, Endo Barthelman. If the
teenager character had been played by
just a young actor, it
might have been a caricature, but you're
not just a young actor. You were
discovered when you were 16,
when you started acting on
Broadway, where you made a name for yourself.
And yes, you brought that seriousness to the
role, giving it a lot of accuracy.
You also do your fair share of
stunts and dangerous things, by the way. So,
by the way, I'm wondering, seeing
such an actress play such a role, did
it teach you
anything? What impressed you
most
about being on the other side of the table
compared to her in a scene? It's
truly a dream come true because you
can really be yourself. What did
I learn from her? That
someone like her, at her level, is
so kind, so gentle,
so generous, and it encouraged me to
do the same thing every day because
if I can be as
nice as her,
what am I supposed to do? And so it's a
nicer card of 0.1 on Hubert. Even
you say that you are
Mavic Danger,
them, that swear
words
from Jean written with John Philippe, it's
so funny that the best thing we
can do is tell the
truth at every moment, and it wasn't
really useful for us to add
too much to the comedy, as you
said, it was enough simply to tell
the truth. So no, but I'm not an
alcoholic here, it's welcome, well, I
mean
in the film, this line, Jennifer,
what's good about getting older is that
you don't care what people
think of you. Is that true
when you're a Hollywood star?
It's a little more difficult
because sometimes you find
traces of yourself on the internet, but yes, it
There are certain anxieties I had in
the past, when I was in my
twenties, that have passed. You enjoy
life a little more as you get older, you
focus on what matters. So now
you're
a little freer,
a little bit more. You play a woman
who doesn't understand today's younger generation
in the film. You
find them uptight and timid. Is that
the case in real life,
knowing that you're young yourself?
Literally, this generation
strikes me a lot. They're organized, they
're intelligent, they're passionate,
they're very open-minded. I've
learned a lot from
this younger generation and from Andru,
and he helped me a lot with my
phone, especially
sharing, putting my phone on
silent, all that. So why is
n't the younger generation interested in
sex, Angel? That's what we understand in
the film.
Generally speaking, this generation is
more interested in connections, in
true love between one person and
another, and we have more and more
language to express it with our
phones. It's more It's even more
difficult to do, so that's
what we see in Persillé. I hope things
will normalize. Jennifer, you were in
Cannes as the producer of a
documentary about Afghan women
called "Bread and Roses."
Can you tell us a little about it?
It's a documentary directed
by Sarahmani that follows the lives of
three Afghan women during
the Lebanese state's recapture of Kabul in
2021.
When
it happened, I was watching
television, I saw the news, and we
tried to find a director—a female director, to be
precise—to
get a camera that could capture
the inside. These are women who
truly risked their lives, and
it was wonderful to be able to present
the premiere in Cannes. I'm sorry,
it's a little difficult to concentrate.
You're a Hollywood star, and
you remain committed to fighting corruption
and promoting democracy in the United States. Is it
easy to reconcile the
two?
It's my job.
I think there shouldn't be
so much money in the... Politically,
senators could see, could
have the opportunity to become
lobbyists, like they should be able to, and
I would like our government to be
more just and democratic and less
corrupt so that it works for the
people and not for millionaires.
I like to say that, that
smile is magnificent, the same thing, yes,
absolutely.
I think that especially when we talk about
my generation,
there is so much access to information
now that my generation has a
renewed passion that can sometimes be
illuminated by disinformation and misinformation,
which is sometimes a little scary, but
I think that for the people in
power who manage with all that,
they can't hide anything anymore.
Lighter news about Cannes,
you saw Justin Trier's Palme d'Or,
you liked it,
you were there on the last day
to see that film again, I can't wait to see it,
really, and then you were there on
the red carpet coming down the
steps, but the news was that it was
you, and the world talked about it, but
the news was that you were there for the documentary on the
Afghan FAMAS
and
City of Marseille
is a fantasy for Americans, but it's
true, it's a fantasy for
Americans, you said it! Beyoncé had
a huge concert this week at the
legendary Vélodrome stadium. Matt
Damon is also a fan of the city; he
spent a lot of time there
filming Steel Water. He
completely fell in love with it. He said that if he
were French, it's the city
he would want to live in because of its
energy and its light. There's
also the French music scene that's exported. I don't know
if you're familiar with it, but well,
it's in the
[Applause]
[Music]
top 100
most-streamed songs worldwide on Spotify. And
when we were there, we met a
young American woman from Nebraska. She had
come to spend a month and
decided to stay for life. So after 1000
Paris, tonight you'll discover
Sarah in Marseille. In short, it's true that
there's a whole hype around Marseille
that goes beyond France and is
exported. across the Atlantic, and it's coming
up right after the show, so the
Marseille special with Martin,
meet you, and the challenge will be in June,
on June 21st, and it's really
hilarious and wacky, so go see
it!
