In this video, I bought over $1,000 worth of different pay-dirt and ran it through my sluice to see what kind of valuable gold, diamonds, and gems we could find inside.

Wait a second, no way.
That's huge.
This is over $1,000 worth of pay dirt
that contains gold, diamonds, and other rare gems.
And today I'm gonna open up six different kinds
that range from $10 up to $1,000 to see what's inside.
I also have a certified gemologist here
that's gonna tell me how much everything's worth.
Since my goal for today's video
is to sell whatever I find for a profit.
Now first, we're gonna open the classic $10
golden diamond dig it.
So let's see if we can get lucky.
One hit, that's it.
There we go.
And we got rose crystal.
How much do you think these are worth?
Nothing.
Valid.
All right, next bag.
And now that we got our sluice all set up here,
it's time to open the $25 bag of pay dirt
that guarantees 1.7 pounds of gemstone.
And the sluice is gonna carry
the lighter particles downstream,
and then it will separate any gold for me.
Then we spotted amethyst, amazonite,
and green quartz to name a few,
as well as our first speck of gold.
Probably only worth 50 cents to a dollar,
but that's something.
We got some amethyst here.
What are you thinking?
Couple bucks.
Just some classic quartz.
20 cents.
Really?
No.
Okay.
These are just stones.
These are not gems.
All these rocks.
How much are you paying for this?
Five bucks.
Fair enough.
Next up, we have the $50 crystal gems and more mystery box.
It doesn't actually include any dirt.
There's no dirt in here?
What's in here then?
It promises some stuff that's gonna help you out,
spiritually.
So we just have to basically unravel everything.
It's just a rock.
There's nothing in here.
It's just a rock.
What?
I'm starting to feel like this is a scam.
Although there was actually a few interesting stones inside
like smoky quartz, obsidian, and jasper.
So what would you say all this is worth in total?
$10.
All right.
This guy drives a hard bargain.
Now it's time for the $100 bag of pay dirt.
This seller guarantees 0.5 to four grams of pure gold.
Higher risk, higher reward.
Then I dumped out the $100 bag
and began examining the sluice
when I finally spotted a valuable gem.
Yo!
Take five.

Now that's what I'm talking about.
That is some nice garnet.
That's sick.
That's gotta be worth some money.
Then I discovered lapis lazuli
and a ton of gold flakes in the front of the sluice
before we almost flooded my studio.
Aw, jeez.
Ah!
Here we go.
Welcome back, my friends.
First and foremost, lapis here.
What are you thinking?
It is lapis.
No.
Really?
That's something.
Obsidian.
Yes.
Worthless.
Sorry, my bad.
This is the big find that caught my eye.
Check it out.
I didn't know garnet could be purple like that.
Because it's a road light.
How much?
Maybe $8.
Seriously?
Seriously.
What do I need to find in order to make my money back?
Give me some.
What else besides a diamond?
Emeralds, sapphires, rubies.
That might be a little bit more doable, guys.
Then after opening four of six bags,
it was time for the $250 bag from Sluice Goose.
Definitely the best name yet.
I'll give them that.
This came all the way from Brazil
and guarantees one ultra rare gem.
You know what?
I'm gonna be honest, compared to the last box,
this just looks like play sand.
This is $250.
Here we go, here we go.
It's gonna be rose quartz.
Yo, let's go.
That's a solid find.
Then we spotted tiger's eye, sunstone, and more rose quartz.
So it looks like it's just a lot of big gems.
Oh, you know what?
Look at that.
Little gold.
First little piece in there.
I'm gonna be honest,
I'm not seeing much on this bag so far.
Wait a second.
Yo.
Whoa.
If this is what I think it is,
this is gonna be worth something.
Yeah, that's crazy.
You know what this is?
Is that opal?
That's rainbow opal.
And after pouring out a few more pounds of dirt,
we found more opal.
That might be the ultra rare gem.
That's our best find yet, for sure.
Then all we found was zebra onyx, aquamarine,
and a sapphire.
This color was artificially enhanced.
Bro.
Yeah?
I'm just making sure we didn't see gold.
Come here, come here.
There's gotta be something.
I gotta make some money, right?
That's what we got.
There's gotta be some nugget or something.
You see anything in there?
No.
I think I missed you, bro.
It's like 1 a.m.
This might not have been the best business investment
of my life.
My painter's paint copy is as lucrative as I thought,
but we still have a thousand dollar bag left.
Although, before we opened the final bag,
I had to get my last set of gems appraised.
$250 down.
This is what we got.
We have a bunch of rose quartz.
A little foggy.
So it's not the best quality.
For all of it, 20 bucks.
Aquamarine?
Five bucks.
Rainbow opal.
Very curious to see what he has to say.
I'd say 50 bucks.
It contains more rock than it does actual opal,
so it would be hard to actually compare.
What is that?
This one's calcite.
Is it valuable?
No.
How much?
Two bucks.
So what do you think we made in total for the $250 bag?
100 bucks.
Then after taking another L,
Clem and I collected all the tiny gold
before I carefully cleaned out the sluice
and sifted through the leftover concentrates
to find any gold flakes that we missed.
Then I weighed all the gold that we found
in the first five bags,
and lastly went to my local creek to open the final bag.
As you guys can see, we just made it to the creek
and we got the sluice all set up.
I should mention that I only spent $500 on this tater,
although their site says it normally costs $1,000.
And this box has gold that was mined all over North America
and guarantee a minimum of 0.5 grams of gold.
Although people claim to have found gold nuggets,
So fingers crossed I can hit big for you guys at home
since I haven't had much luck yet.
This is the moment you've all been waiting for here, $500.
So first I anxiously dumped out 25% of the dirt,
but sadly I didn't see any gold worth more than a few dollars.
There's gotta be something here, guys.
I still believe.
Then after pouring out half the dirt
and continuously scanning the sluice,
I finally spotted this.
Oh my God, wait a second.
Yo, that's huge.
I'd say this is at least two to three grams
and this is just the first bag.
We still have an entire bag to go here.
I gotta find at least a four or five gram nugget
to really make my money back.
It's gonna be tough, but let's see if we can do it.
Then I began pouring the last bag into the sluice
one pound at a time until I discovered
another two gram nugget.
There it is.
Let's do a quick purity test here.
Yup, that's real.
That's legit, Clem.
We're coming down to the wire here.
Then once I dumped out the entire bag,
I patiently collected every speck of gold,
panned the leftover sediment,
and lastly weighed all the gold.
I think the lesson for today is
buying dirt from strangers online
is not an intelligent business decision.
And since I didn't make a profit,
I'm gonna give one subscriber that comments on this video
a bag of pay dirt.
This has been Clock West
and I'll see you guys in the next one.
