Just discovered your channel and I'm in love with your style and your videos ! Keep going ! 😘
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. So I am super excited about this video because it is one that
I have wanted to do for so long and you guys have requested it quite a lot as well. So it is my
office wear lookbook. So before I was in vlogging, I worked in a couple of offices and absolutely
loved it. However, I really struggled to find outfits that were appropriate for the office,
but also reflected my personal style and had a little edge to it. So in today's video,
I'm going to be sharing pretty much the basic pieces that I think are essential for a workwear
capsule wardrobe, but having a different take on it and making it a little bit more fun by
playing with silhouettes, but still keeping it quite smart and professional. Before we get stuck
into the video, there is another thing I want to share with you guys. So I have taken a step
towards being a much more conscious shopper and I have in the past just bought and bought and bought
and I think it's so important to buy things that you know you're going to get wear out of. So
therefore investing in quality pieces and classic cuts and classic pieces that you can wear over and
over and over again. So this is where I'm going to introduce a really good application that I have
been using. It's called Shop Tagger. I feel like you guys might have heard of it. If you're not
familiar with it, Shop Tagger is basically a app that you can have on your desktop and on your phone
and what it allows you to do is to create wish lists. It's super simple. So it lets you create
wish lists of things that you like, have your eye on. Right now I'm in the process of redoing my
office space. So I have a list of homeware things that I really want to get my hands on. So I have
like my desks and chairs and just basic things that I'm going to need. But what is super great
about this is one, it informs you if that item is out of stock when it's back in stock as well as
that it will also let you know if it drops in price. So if that product goes into sale, has a
discount, it will notify you which is amazing. So you can save yourself some money as well. So although
those points are super great, what I really love about Shop Tagger is that having a wish list
allows me to be so much smarter with my buys and save a lot more money. I think having a wish list
is super great because it means that you end up working towards buying pieces as opposed to just
buying things for the sake of it and then blowing lots of money. So that is an app that I have been
using religiously. I'm going to leave the link in the description box below so definitely check it
out. It's absolutely free and it is a super super handy and helpful tool to help you save money
online. So without me blabbering on too much, let's get stuck into the lookbook. Item number one is a
pair of black trousers. Black trousers are an absolute must-have in my opinion. The pair that
I have is from Zara. What I really loved about it is that it has this amazing unique pleat detail
at the top, just really slinches in your waist. It's really high-waisted but it goes with so
much and adds just a little something to a really simple and basic piece. So I've styled it with a
cardigan as a top just because it's super comfortable but there are so many ways you can
style a pair of black trousers. You can wear it with a shirt, a blazer, a jumper, just absolutely
anything. I think it's the foundation of all looks when it comes to office wear. So stripes are the
pattern that I think is perfect for an office. It's just a really classy and chic print. I have
gone for stripes on stripes here. I just wanted to have a little bit more fun with a really classic
print and I actually really like it. I think a pair of striped trousers is a must-have as well.
It just looks really classy and there are a lot of things that you can do with a pair of pinstripe
trousers but it has just a little edge to it. What I love about this outfit is that it's still
quite lightweight so I can throw a jacket on top so it doesn't feel too stuffy. I find that a lot
of office wear can be quite heavy but this is a nice and flowy outfit. Now this had to be in here,
a blazer is an absolute must-have when it comes to office dressing. It just completes most outfits
and even if you're wearing something a little bit laid back and you throw a blazer on top it just
pulls everything together really nicely and it gives you such a professional look. So I love
this one from H&M. It's super good quality, it's cotton and I think investing in a cotton blazer
makes such a big difference. It doesn't crease, it just looks really nice and really clean.
I love suits and I think a suit is one of the most professional looking pieces that you can wear. It
kind of just looks like you really mean business and this one I really love. It's a lot more
feminine than the usual suit that I have. It lynches me in at the waist and it has a really
lovely kick flare at the bottom and it also has a really nice pink tone going through it but I think
any suit looks appropriate. Obviously some offices it might look a little bit much but there are
definitely a lot of offices that I think this suit would be really appropriate in. To me there's
nothing cleaner than a white shirt, a crisp white shirt. What I love about this one is that it's
quite oversized. It has really cool flared sleeves. It definitely has more of a fashion element than a
fitted white shirt that you would normally wear to an office. This one I have paired with a pair
of black trousers. It's just an absolute favourite combo when it comes to office dressing and I know
some offices you might not want to wear a lot of jewellery at but I really like to pair a really
simple outfit with a nice chunky gold necklace. It just depends on where you're working and just
adapting these outfits according to that. A skirt is a really nice piece to wear to an office.
Now you can play around with different fabrics and different cuts. I think pairing a skirt with
something really laid back like a jumper looks really nice together. It's kind of the perfect
balance and I think it just adds a really nice feminine flair to this look. Also if it's a bit
chillier you can always throw on a trench coat or a coat and it'll just kind of pull your whole look
together. When it comes to office dressing I think shoes really make or break the look. I think having
a really great staple pair of flat shoes helps. I have a pair of Gucci loafers that are the most
comfortable shoe I have. They're so great to walk around in all day so if you are a commuter it's a
nice shoe to wear for your commute and when you're at your office because it looks so small and so
clean. So if you like to wear heels to an office I think a really nice shoe to wear is a classic
court heel. They always look really smart and just super polished. I really like this pair from ASOS.
They have a whole range of colours but I love a nude shoe because it's just very subtle or also
a black pair of court heels look great too. Okay so that's my take on some office wear looks and
some pieces that I think are super essential for your wardrobe. I hope you guys enjoyed this video
and I will see you all in my next one. Bye!
