Facial Acupuncture | Korean Beauty Secret

I'm in Korea and I'm about to try one of the craziest facials I've ever done. And I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little bit scared. So keep watching. Hey guys, I'm Lacey Jones for Gratified Soul and I'm here at the Gwandong Hospital for Traditional Korean Medicine and I'm about to try facial acupuncture. They are going to put over 150 needles into my face and this is very popular for balancing symmetry, for uplifting the face, building collagen and giving you that overall glow. So let's go in and check it out. Do you have any question about the facial acupuncture? Yeah, so what are the main benefits of the facial acupuncture? You are going to have an overall brightness with your face. It's going to release the puffiness and you're going to have a little bit of lifting effect. And then how long do the results last? It just depends upon your age and skin type. About three to four weeks, so we recommend our patient to come here on a regular basis every month or so. Just sleep on your right side, but on your left side, it's a bit more in the birth. So doctor is going to apply the needles on the left side first. I can't see any big difference between left and right side right now. I mean, she can't see any difference right now. It means you must have a little bit of a problem with the shoulder and her neck, because they must be a little bit twisted or something. Yeah, this side is very tense. Okay. I mean, it's going to be better to have some acupuncture over your shoulders at the same time. That's going to be helpful. Just look in the mirror, please. Your skin tone is quite bright, so you may see some redness right now. Press the red button, and I'll be here. My wife feels a little weird. I don't want to talk too much, so I don't move the face, and I guess that can lead to some bruising. But it only hurt around my nose, my mouth. The rest just kind of felt a little strange. And then on my right side, it's a little bit warmer, but I have really sensitive skin, so I'm sure it looks a little bit red right now. But don't worry, it always happens. But yeah, definitely one of the weirdest things I've ever done to my face. Some patients have benefits right away, but it's going to take a few days to see the results. So I just finished the treatment, and it really didn't hurt. I'm so shocked because that many needles sounds a little bit scary. The only time that it hurt a little bit was around my nose, my mouth, but it was more of a stinging sensation, and that went away after a couple seconds. And it was a little weird. During the time that I'm supposed to be resting, I opened my eyes, and I could see the needles pulsating with my heartbeat, which was a little strange. But overall, I really enjoyed it. I'm going to see the full benefits in about three to four days. They gave me a little bruising cream just in case there's any issue, but I don't feel any pain, and I actually feel a lot of tightness and firmness in my cheeks. So I'll see you guys in a couple days to see the full benefit. So it's day three, and I definitely see an overall radiance to my skin. And there is a little bit of a lifting effect, but I'm going to listen to the doctor and get some work on my shoulder because that was what she said was making a little bit of the imbalance to my symmetry of my face.
