Inside Henderson’s Most Stunning SkyVu Home | Luxury Living in MacDonald Highlands

Welcome to the stunning three-story Skyview home by Christopher Holmes. This home is all about luxury living in the gargantuan community of McDonnell Highlands, and I'm going to be giving you a tour and I want to make you feel like you're right here with me. As we walk through, I want you to picture yourself living here and answer a few questions in the comments. Follow me. Now, before we start our tour, let's go into the office over here and let me share with you some interesting facts about Christopher Holmes. So let's take a look at this office space first. We have these sliding bar glass doors. As you walk in, I notice these beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass windows, so that it's very nice. You can see through these windows as people come through this private entrance, through the courtyard, in through the pivot door. You can see your guests walk in, so that's very nice. I love all the landscaping and the artwork they've done here. And look at these beautiful built-in cabinets, LED underlight, absolutely gorgeous, beautiful shelving. And this is absolutely a place you will want to call your home office. Christopher Holmes is considered one of the premier home builders in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. It's locally owned and family-run and it focuses on luxury elevated living, especially in their architectural design and interior design finishes. The family has been building in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada since 1981. Because of its longevity, consistency, and focus on luxury design, Christopher Holmes has become a benchmark in a lot of luxury master plan communities. Not only do they focus on custom home designs, they also started to build luxury track homes in master plan communities that you may be familiar with, such as Southern Highland, Summerland, and now in McDonnell Highland. Over four decades, Christopher Holmes has won over 150 industry awards. And today, Christopher Holmes is continuing to shape the skyline of Las Vegas, especially here in McDonnell Highlands with their SkyVue project. This SkyVue project, named after sky view, view equals Vue, is a community of 104 home sites and approximately 60% has been sold. Today, I will be featuring this residence for model. And this model is available for you turnkey, fully furnished for $6.8 million. Just remember that the artwork and the sculptures do not convey with the house. Here are the specs of Christopher Holmes SkyVue residence for model. Spanning over 5,156 square feet, featuring three stories, four beds, home office, sky loft, three decks, four full bath, two powder room, elevator, three car garage, and a beautifully manicured backyard featuring a pool, spa, and built-in barbecue. So I love it that these luxury builders are using these beautiful sliders. In this case, an 11-foot slider that multi-stacks on each side so that you could create this beautiful seamless indoor and outdoor experience, especially if you like to entertain. Now, what I noticed is we're using the same porcelain tile inside and transitioning to the outside, also using the same porcelain tile. So it really looks like the flooring is consistent. And this indoor and outdoor experience is seamless. Now, I'm going to take you to the backyard at the very end. So stay tuned to the very end. We're going to continue our tour and enjoy this beautiful great room seating area with the fireplace and this featured wall with TV. And we also have this built-in bar. Now, let's talk about this. Would you put a built-in bar here or something else? Now, that's a personal preference, right? For example, my husband, we like to entertain with our friends and family. And we don't drink that much, but we like to have a bar. My husband likes to display all his beautiful bottles of whiskey. So if you like this kind of look and have this kind of built-in bar with some shelving, we have a sink right here. And looks like we have a mini fridge. Look at that. But this mini fridge is very interesting because it has that flush look with the same consistency of the cabinets. So it's very hidden. For a second, I thought it was a dishwasher, but it was actually a mini fridge. So over here, we have your powder room and a home elevator. So because this is a three-story home, in order to make it like a single-story living, this elevator was installed. Now, that's again a personal preference. Do you need one? Do you not need one? But for resale value, it's great because as we all get older, maybe it's going to be difficult for some of your family members to take the stairs. It's convenient to have an elevator. Now, I'm going to take you upstairs to the second floor. And while I climb up these stairs, I want to talk to you about living in McDonnell Highlands. What does lifestyle here look like? So for starters, McDonnell Highlands, we're located in Henderson. We're off of the 215 and Valley Verde or Stephanie exit. And what's unique about this community is that it's guard-gated. It has 24-7 security. And it also features a clubhouse and a golf community, the Dragon Ridge community. Now, if you ask me, Kaori, is there additional fee to join the clubhouse and to take advantage of the golf? Absolutely. There's actually a golf membership and a social membership. And if you're interested, comment below membership, and I'll be happy to share with you the prices. Now, let's take a moment to look at bedroom number one, which is the primary suite. I love how every space, you're going to get this red accent. And I really love the contrast between the gray and this really urban, cement look with this pop of red color. What do you guys think? So huge primary suite. I noticed behind you a built-in desk that could be a little kind of office area. A lot of people like to do that within their primary suite. And then, of course, from here, you have beautiful views of the entire canyon. And you can see the Dragon Ridge golf course from here. And you're going to be able to really, really enjoy the strip views and the city views as well as mountain views from up here. I'm going to take you to the bathroom area here. And we do have this little coffee station breakfast area. Let's see if this is a mini fridge. Do you guys think this is a mini fridge? Let's open this. Yes. And I love how they, again, blended in with the same finish of the cabinet. So it looks very seamless. But this is your breakfast area. You can make it into a coffee station. And then you proceed to your beautiful primary bathroom. I am seeing a lot of these textured tiles used as featured walls in these bathrooms. And I absolutely love it. I also love these mirrors that are backlit. It's very, very nice. All of these cabinets are floating with LED lights underneath. You've got your dual sink here. You have your primary bathroom tub, floating tub here. It's really nice that you have these sliders that you could actually open up. So it feels like you're actually taking a bath outside. What do you guys think? And then over here, we have your walk-in shower. And it's quite big. Let's take you inside. So you've got two systems here. You also have a rain forest shower in the middle. I love these niches. What do you guys think? And just so you know, this might be a structural upgrade. So make sure you ask for these niches for all of your soap and shampoo bottles. I love that we have a bench. It's just always a nice touch to have a bench within your shower system. Again, textured tile, different color and gray. And what's so unique about this shower, you guys, is that you have the view of the Las Vegas Strip from your shower. So just picture taking a shower at night, and you've got this beautiful shining strip view as your backdrop, as you're showering. So I mean, that is ultimate luxury. This is absolutely beautiful. Now, let me take you to the outside balcony. So over here, we have our water closet, linen closet, and this beautiful custom built-out closet room. Wow, nice and spacious. What do y'all think? Some things I noticed is that they did the custom closets all the way up. Now, this is all, you know, optional upgrade. You could really customize your closet based on your needs. And these upper shelves could be for your bags or maybe for your shoes. And I love that they did this glass enclosed display case. This is all fancy. What kind of bags or accessories would you put in here? Beautiful lights. We've got this nice area for all of your dressy items, maybe a holiday party outfit. And then shoes. This is absolutely beautiful. Have them all here. You've got a full length mirror and you have additional drawers. This is a beautifully nice custom closet. Really nice and spacious. And then coming out here, I'm going to take you to your primary bedroom balcony. Wow. So for starters, this is a very nice oversized balcony. And I'm just going to take a moment to just absorb this beautiful views because you guys, it's so beautiful during the day and I cannot start to picture what it looks like at nighttime. Within McDonnell Highlands, we're almost at one of the highest peaks within the community. And as you can see, there are other communities you can see below that looks like tiny boxes from here. But for example, over there to the left is the Blue Heron community called Dragon Rock. From here, I could also see all the way down to South Point Casino, even M Resorts. And then you can see this beautiful skyline of the Las Vegas Strip from the Allegiant Stadium all the way to Stratosphere. And of course, don't forget, you can see these beautiful panoramic views of our beautiful mountains, including the Mount Charleston that I mentioned earlier. And from here, we have a very nice vantage point of the backyard. You can see this beautiful pool with a nice pool deck. And then we have a fire pit. We have a jacuzzi. We have beautiful landscaping and these palm trees creating so much privacy. This is like the ultimate backyard. What do you guys think? I love this little catwalk area where you can see down below the entrance, the pivot glass door. So if you're upstairs and you're expecting some guests, they could come in through the pivot door. You could say hello and come downstairs and greet them. And then over here, we have the laundry room. I love laundry rooms. I have to come in and feel everything. So we have this beautiful counter on top of these washing machines and the dryer. We have these really nice modern looking cabinets on the top. Again, some very fun play on these textured tiles as a featured wall in the back. A huge sink. And these are actually all the push out cabinets. These are cool. So no hardware on top. It's clean and it's very modern looking. Over here, we have two bedrooms side by side. Let me take you to the first one. Oh, I love this. This bedroom has a own balcony and I think that is such a great touch. Comment balcony if you want a balcony in your second and third bedrooms. It's always so nice to be able to have outdoor space, especially when you live in Las Vegas or Henderson, when you have over 300 days of sunny sunshine. We're filming in mid-October. It was actually really cold yesterday. But today, it's really mild weather and it's super sunny. So you can really, really enjoy this outdoor weather and outdoor recreation that you may like. This community is carved into a mountain. So you can see these beautiful rock formation that we have behind us. And it's super private. So we have these kind of like elevated stadium home sites where you don't have other homes behind you like a regular home site, you know, where it's flat. We have all these elevations. And therefore, you can see from up here, there's other homes being built on the top of this elevation here at the peaks. And those are all custom homes that are going to be above us from this community. So here we are in the bathroom. I like this L-shaped floating vanity. Really nice bathroom here. Ooh, there's something fun in the shower, you guys. Are you ready for this? We have natural light. Ta-da! So as I mentioned earlier, we have 300 days of sunshine. So this is kind of a nice experience if you take a shower in the morning and you can see, you know, what the weather is like today. And of course, it's mostly sunny. So you have this beautiful natural light coming in to your shower. What do you guys think? Moving on to bedroom three on the other side. This one just has beautiful windows. So you can really, really admire this outdoor space and natural light coming in. We have a bathroom here. Just has a darker finish. Just one sink here. And then a walk-in shower. But this one also has a sunroof. That's so cool. Comment below sunroof if you want to have a sunroof in your shower. All right, I'm going to take you to floor three. What do you all think so far? Comment below your favorite room so far and tell me why. Okay, the third floor is an entertainment loft, you guys. This is so cool. So let's talk about what's happening over here. We have a bar area. Now let's guess which one is the fridge. So I think this might be the fridge. Nope. Ice maker. Oh, this might be the beverage drawer. Oh, dishwasher. Dishwasher. This is cabinet. Is this the fridge, you guys? Looks like it. Ta-da! Yes, I knew one of these would be a refrigerator, right? And what's this? The trash pullout. And more drawers. I just love that things are hidden. There's a mini fridge, there's the ice maker, and a dishwasher. Very creative. So from this bar area, you could service all your friends and family here that may be watching a movie or your favorite sporting game and really maximize this entertainment loft area. Now what's also special about this floor is this balcony that I'm going to take you momentarily so you can really, really enjoy the beautiful strip and mountain views that we have from here. So we are here on the third floor. And you can see that this community, the Skyview community, that's 60% sold. We obviously have 40% of opportunity left. So you know what to do if you're interested. But you can just take a moment to see how far along this road goes. It kind of curves around, but you can see the entire community here. All these homes are facing out east to the strip. And actually from here, you can see your neighbor's house and they have solar panels installed. So that's definitely an option for all those people that are interested in green and energy efficient living. And over here, again, just breathtaking views of the mountain. From here, you could also see the community next door, which is Ascaya. I mean, from this third floor, you're so elevated. You just feel like you're the king or the queen of the world, honestly. You know, and you could really see that beautiful golf course right there, the Dragon's Ridge below you. It's absolutely breathtaking. Last bedroom here, we do have a dedicated powder room here on the third floor, which is amazing because you're entertaining all your friends and family for a movie or a sporting event. And of course, it's nice to have your own just for your guests or just for your family members bathroom. And then the last room up here is your bedroom, your fourth bedroom. And this one too, you have beautiful panoramic views from this level. Nice and spacious. I love all the artwork they have. What do you guys think? Like, look at this grandma. That's so cool. And then over here, we have a little vanity makeup area here. Dual sinks, floating cabinets, LED light, backlit mirror. Beautiful. And I love to touch everything, so I need to touch everything. This is really nice. Matte finish, tile on the top. Cool light fixtures. I mean, wow. I've never seen these light fixtures like this one. Bathroom. Love the art. That dog looks like mine, Roxy. Super cute. And then let's look at this shower. Okay, I'm gonna step in here. Fairly large shower here. We have a built-in bench over here with the niche that's kind of tucked away here, which is cool. Shower system here on one side, another one, and a rain forest shower in the middle. Let's take a moment to look at this. So there's three different settings for lighting here. So let's just take a moment to explore what each of them are. So shower is just this. Okay. And then ambient. Oh, okay. So you have just all lights off or you have a little softer look. Okay. And then the bathroom. I like to try everything and touch everything. I just wanted to see what that looked like. So this is an interesting question, you guys. Would you make this third floor bedroom your primary? Or would you stick to the primary you saw downstairs on the second floor? Comment below. Primary third or primary second? Love to hear from you. It's a personal preference. Some people might really, really like these views, these strip views from this elevation on the highest elevation from the third floor. So this might be your primary. Or it might be a guest room. Or it might be one of your older kids, whether it's a son or a daughter's bedroom up here and have a lot more privacy. Love to hear from you. Now we left the best for last, the backyard and the outdoor experience. Here in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, outdoor space in your backyard is very, very important because a lot of people really want to maximize their time outside because we have such great weather. So for starters, we are under this covered dining area. And as you can see in the ceiling, they did some aluminum louvers here. And this is a really cool kind of modern looking feature here. And that kind of, you know, matches this table here for the dining table. So over here, we have a built-in barbecue system, not just one, but two. And I'm going to open this. Very nice. Super nice. We've got a fridge here. Okay. Additional storage space. Another barbecue. So if you like to grill, why not have two grills, right? This is very nice. And I love how they put this TV here, this outdoor TV. And it's actually covered for some protection. But this is a really nice place to have TV, especially if you want to watch your favorite show or your favorite sporting game here while you're entertaining and grilling at the same time. I love how we have a patch of green turf here. Maybe you have a pet like me and you need a little turf space for your fur babies. And over here, I noticed this very large pool. And I absolutely love this wet deck with these four chairs. I could picture myself relaxing here and just enjoying this outdoor experience. And then over here, we've got a big umbrella and a fire pit. Now, this is a really nice spot for intimate conversations. Maybe after a long day of work, you just want to sit around this fire pit with your family members, maybe just your husband or your partner, and just enjoy a glass of wine or a beverage of your choice. You could really enjoy this outdoor space, which is really, really such a great experience that we could really enjoy here in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. We have a very nice jacuzzi here.
