So, every time I see the Thread Lab HD
360, there's only one thing that always
pops up in my mind, and that is the
Apple HomePod, which is really hyped up
over the years for its audio quality.
And I mean, I want to see if the H360 is
offering a whole lot more than just a
similar look. So, in this video, we're
going to check out the build quality,
the design, the audio performance, and
also we want to see is this thing worth
your hardearned money, and will it
deliver the goods. We're going to get
into a lot of the specs and other stuff
soon, but for now, we just want to take
it out of the box and see what's good. I
mean on the top right there you get has
the little getting started guide and you
get a charging type-C to type-C charging
cable and you get ax cable in 3D. Oh
man, this thing is heavy. This what it
looks like. So that's what I mean when I
say every time I see it, it reminds me
of the pod. Now obviously there's a few
different aesthetic and design
differences, but overall it has that pod
look. And on the top right here, the
instructions is letting you know how to
function with this touch sensitive
button. So down here, you got the
volume, play a pause, you tap right
here, the pair, got some microphones,
and guess we could always figure it out.
That's what the touch sensitive top is.
And right here, you can see the woofers.
You get one, two, three, four of these
woofers. And then I think you have some
other tweeters up here, but you can't
see that much.
I don't know if this thing is metal or
plastic. It is. Sounds like metal.
Rubber base. This is fabric right here.
There's not too much otherwise. You can
see power button right here. And then
inside this little flap is where you
have the charging port and the ox port.
And I guess down here you have the base
speakers. You can see something in the
bottom right here. As the name suggests,
this is a 360 speaker, which mean you
could put it in the middle of the room
and it will be beaming sound equally in
everybody's ears while you're having
that party with a peak power output of
about 90 watts with about four 10 watt
each full range drivers, a massive 50 W
base driver with an additional eight
base radiators. Thing is really, really
packed really tight inside. I don't know
how they do it. They p this thing really
well, man. You're talking about 20 hertz
up to 18 kilhertz. So, I mean, from what
we're hearing so far with just the
specs, things should be really, really
jamming. Really nice. And if that's not
crazy enough, this thing has Bluetooth 5
and you can pair an additional H360 for
an insane immersive audio experience.
So, just imagine if you have one of
these crazy heavy speakers jam-packed,
so tight with all this tech. And then
you have two of them jamming. Yeah, you
should have a really good time. But
we're going to check it out and see how
does this thing perform. And all of this
inside is being powered by a 12,000
milliamp battery. That should give you
about 20 hours of music play time. I
think that varies because I mean if you
have this thing all the way to the max
with all these speakers jamming out. I'm
I'm not too sure about even with 12,000
mAh battery. I'm not too sure about
that. 20 hours, but you do get about 2
hours of charge time when it's dead from
the 30 watt fast charger. So, I mean,
it's a budget of a down time, but it's
not too bad. You can be up and running
within 2 hours jamming out again. So,
but if you could get, I don't know,
let's say anywhere between 14 to 8 hours
of music play time, jam it out on this
thing, that's pretty good. I mean, some
additional features, it is IPX4 water
resistance. That's why I was saying the
flap around here is pretty thick. So,
IPX4 water resistant. It has some
built-in microphones right here to help
you with, you know, capturing audio
whenever you talk cuz you can use it to
make phone calls. All right, so we got
the HomePod queued up. Got my one of my
favorite non-copyrighted song. I like
this song. It's sweet by Jok and Casey.
And remember, this thing is 360. So it's
wherever you're standing, that's where
you get the best sound
[Music]
supposedly. She got that sweet juice.
Some of the lemonade. Take a sip. Blow a
purple cloud. Tastes like lemons.
Conversations back and forth like damn
we could go off for days. Looking back
at it like damn she bad when she walk
away. Here we
go. They already know when we go. I take
you anywhere you want. People talk
about when we say
the base that you're getting from this
thing. It
is It's
incredible, man. I mean, they added so
many passive radiators. I'm assuming
these things right here, you can see
them. These are the passive radiators
right here. And then it also has a big
subwoofer, I think, at the bottom firing
down. It's coming through these little
ear holes right here. And then all the
little speakers are here. And it sounds
really good. But the bass, the bass
though, I mean, for a if you're a bass
lover, I think having this would be a
dream. If you're just one of those
person that just like a nice clean
balanced sound, you might not like this
so much. cuz even in balance mode, it
still has crazy amount of bass. We're
going to do some more tests. We're going
to find out what's going on. So, what
we're going to do, I'm going to switch
through the different EQ mode. So, you
have balance, 3D, and bass. We're going
to switch through and
see. This is balance.
No need to
worry to take my chances, baby. I
just gone. Don't know where.
Yeah, I like it. I definitely like it.
There's a few things that I'm noticing
that I want to do a little bit more test
on. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going
to run off. I'm going to do some tests
with some other copyrighted music, songs
that I like to listen that I use as
reference tracks. I mostly use this one
to do some of these on camera demos
because it's non-copyrighted and I think
it's a really cool song. I like Joking
Karu. But I'm going to go off camera.
I'm going to do some more tests and I'm
going to come back. I'm going to let you
know is this thing worth your time,
money. Okay, so I've been testing the HD
360 for some time now and I have to say
I'm pretty impressed, but I'm also
disappointed. But hear me out. This is a
really interesting speaker and a really
interesting package for the price and it
has a lot of potential, especially if
you're into this old 360 thing because
all these speakers that it has and these
passive radiators, they do create a
really interesting dynamic. And if
you're into this kind of thing, you're
absolutely going to love this. Now, for
the price, they pack this thing with a
lot of speaker drivers and some passive
radiators. You can see them right here.
One, two, three, four, and then it has a
really big subwoofer down here and a
bunch of other speakers line up around
here. And then you already know the
touch display up top. It has a lot to
offer. It feels really good. It feels
premium. I like it. I was wondering, you
know, what if they just went ahead and
just make this thing, this entire
material at the top, but then I think
they would probably run into some
issues, you know, with Apple cuz this is
how the Apple one look with this
material. So, I guess that's why they
went with the metal on the bottom and
then leave those ports for the speakers
to. So, it's Bluetooth 5.0. It has this
touch area where you got a NFC tag so
you can just put your phone on it
automatically. It's paired. You don't
have to be going into settings and doing
anything. And that is pretty cool. I
like that you got this little touch
sensitive area where you could just
play, pause, skip track. You can switch
between three different EQ modes. All
right, so let's just let's just get into
it. Let's talk about the audio quality.
I like it. It sounds really good. Sounds
pretty good when you're playing music.
You got three different EQs you can
switch through. We're going to discuss
that also. I do have some problems
though. It is kind of a little bit
warmer than I would like. And sometimes
depending on which one of the EQ you're
in. All right, let's just jump into the
EQ. You got three different EQs. It got
just this normal mode. It got a 3D mode
and it got a bass boosted mode. No way
in the in the world you going to need to
use that bass boosted mode because
everything you play on this is already
boosted with the amount of subwoofers
and passive radiators that's packed
inside this thing. So, I don't see any
reason why you would need to use the
bass boosting mode for the other two
modes, the 3D mode and the regular
normal mode. What I realize is with some
genres of music, it depends on what
you're listening, some genres play
better with the normal mode, while some
genres just play better with the 3D
mode. What a 3D mode do it delivers this
more spatial wide open sound stage kind
of give you instrument separation and it
works for some audio for some tracks
some music it does work some other
trucks on the other hand it it kind of
it kind of don't sound really good you
have to probably switch to the normal
mode and that's where it will deliver
just this normal stereo separation sound
that will sound a lot cleaner than those
other tracks so with some track normal
mode with some the 3D mode definitely
winner. Now, it does have nice eyes, but
it do get overshadowed sometime by the
lows. So, I think your EQ on your phone
or your device or whatever it is that
you're connecting it can help with that.
When you EQ it, you're definitely going
to get the kind of sound that you want.
But other than that, this thing can get
really loud and it can get some really
deep rumbling bass. Almost like it's
shaking wherever you put it. But once
you get this started going and you put
it in the middle of the room or you put
it in a corner in the room, it can fill
a room with really nice sound. I don't
see how you're going to get this thing
and feel disappointed like, "Oh, I
didn't get the right speaker." It's
really good. It's just that it's not as
portable as some other speakers would
cuz I have the HD I have HD. What is
this? The HD Max. I'm going put the name
down there. I got this one. This one is
way more portable. I'm definitely going
to have a video on this one coming soon.
But as you can see, this one is a lot
more portable. You could, you
know, stuck on my mic. But yeah, this
one is way more portable. You could take
it more places than this one. I'm
assuming if you buy yourself a nice
little pouch or maybe a dust bag, you
could definitely pack this in and take
it with you wherever you want to go. I
would say it delivers some really good
sound, but it is definitely going to
need a little work. Especially if you're
kind of like, I don't know, a little bit
picky like I am where you like a nice
balanced sound, then you're probably
going to go into your phone, your
device, your tablet, whatever it is,
your laptop, and you're going to make
some EQ settings, try to balance it out
a little bit. But when you do that, you
get really good sound. This thing can
really deliver. The audio quality on
this is really good. I wouldn't say it's
amazing because like I say, I like more
balanced, refined sound, this one is for
more like people who like party. So, if
you like to have a party wherever you
go, this is for you. And if you're more
snobby kind of audio file listener, this
probably not for you. It definitely is
not for you because this is just bass
overload. Just shaking the room, shaking
your desk. Wherever you put it, it's
going to shake and rumble and yeah, it's
just going to make you feel good like,
oh. Especially when you're listening
hip-hop or some EDM or, you know, any
kind of those music that got some real,
you know, slamming impact with the bass.
This thing actually really deliver and I
like it for that. I really like it for
that. I mean, if you're looking at this
one and you want to get it, I think it
came out at about
$200ish, maybe. And I think at the time
of shooting this video, you probably can
pick one up on discount for maybe
150ish. I don't know. I'm looking see if
I can find a link and put it down if I
can find it a little bit cheaper, like
140, 150ish. Definitely check the links
down in the description. But this is the
new HD 360. I think this one is the Pro,
the HD 360 Pro from Treadlab, and I like
it. It can deliver. If you like this
video, if you like speakers like these,
I got a lot more coming. Definitely
click the link down in the bottom to get
one of these or even to just check it
out and get more information on it. And
if you like videos like these, I don't
know, you could uh click my face to get
subscribed, but check out one of these
other videos right here. If you see a
video here or here, anywhere here, it's
probably another speaker. if you're into
speakers or you can just click my face,
get into the channel and find something
that you like. I got a lot of a lot of
videos that you might like. Anyway, it's
