[music] Now, the Barry Richard Show.
>> All right, welcome back to the program.
Hour number three. It is entirely cloudy
out there right now and it is uh
2007 and um it's a Thursday and the
legislature is on vacation for 6 weeks.
How about that? Um 5089960500
is our phone number. So talk a little
bit about some new polls out that show
that uh at least at the moment
that Trump is in serious trouble. um
with the voting public. Now,
he is not up for re-election next year
or in three years. It doesn't really
matter in that respect, but he needs to
maintain control of the Congress or
increase
Republican control of the Congress, the
number of members in the Congress, in
order to get his agenda through. And the
midterms are at the end of next year. If
he doesn't do that, he's a lame duck for
two years. Nothing will happen. He'll
get nothing through. And um and and that
would be tragic. So the big issue right
now is not that people don't like his
immigration policies. They think he's
doing a bangup job on it. Not that they
don't like what he's doing with the
narrrorists. They think he's doing a
bangup job on that. They think he's
doing a bangup job on um
making peace deals and all this kind of
stuff. They think he's doing a bangup
job and all of that stuff, but it
doesn't fit their priorities. The
overwhelming majority, I think I said it
was either 52 or 57% of the respondents,
their top priority is the economy,
affordability,
and those other things, while they're
very important, they're not priorities.
Crime, 9%.
I have the list here. I shouldn't
shouldn't try to guess uh uh damn.
Yeah. In terms of priorities, um
lowering prices 57%. People say that's
their top priority.
Controlling immigration 16%.
Reducing crime 9%.
That that doesn't mean that it's not an
important issue for them. It just means
it's not their top priority.
Um, ending the war between Ukraine and
Russia, 7%.
Maintaining peace between Israel and
Gaza, 6%. Eliminating drug traffic from
Latin America, 4%. All very important
issues, just not top priorities.
Um
there is a Maris poll indicating the
Democrats in a generic election
for the midterms have a 14-point lead
right now. Now all that can change if
suddenly the economy changes and the
administration is saying there will be
big changes in the first half of next
year.
Trump needs to make that happen. And you
know, they're saying the um between
energy and tariffs and uh all of the
other things that they're doing,
trade deals and new business coming into
the country that should get the economy
back up and running strongly in the
first half of next year. And and that's
got to happen for them. But they need to
be out there selling that
You know, Trump when he goes out and he
speaks, he says, "Well, prices are down.
You know, gas is down." And but he
doesn't he doesn't get into any detail.
His administration needs to be out there
and his surrogates in Congress need to
be out there selling the plan and
they're not doing it.
So, there's um there are some problems
ahead unless they do a better job with
that. All right. 5089960500
is the number of Europe next on WBSM.
Thanks for hanging on.
>> Hi Barry.
>> Hi.
>> You know I'm an old guy, right?
>> What was that?
>> I've been in business. You know I'm an
old guy.
>> Okay.
>> And I've been in business most of my
life. And I can tell you that Trump is
an extraordinary businessman.
>> Mhm.
>> He wouldn't he wouldn't be a
billionaire. And all the money that
these countries like Saudi Arabia and
Japan all y
>> they're not
>> they're not investing millions. inspect
and
they're giving trillions.
>> Yeah.
>> Not millions, trillions. So, this is
like building a house. You know, you
start with the foundation and then, you
know, it takes the longest time to see
anything really get done, especially to
finish work. And this is what's
happening right now. So, if you want to
get rich, invest in America.
>> But you know what? No, what you're
saying is absolutely right. It's 100%
right. The the problem is that the
people on Main Street go to the polls
and they're the ones that vote. And the
people on Main Street are still paying
$28 a pound for steak and they're still
paying almost three bucks a gallon for
gas and they still can't afford to buy a
house.
>> Biden caused all this.
>> But but that doesn't matter. It doesn't
matter to the average person who's out
there
>> at Stop and Shop on on Saturday morning
and they're looking at their grocery
bill. Oh my god. You know, uh, I got to
get a pair of shoes for the kids. Oh my
god. You know, it doesn't matter who
caused it. They want it fixed. And Trump
said, "I'm going to fix it." And he
hasn't yet.
>> He will. Give it Give it time.
>> Yeah. Well, I agree with that. I agree
with that. But they need to be out there
selling the program.
>> He's only been in office 9 10 months.
>> Yeah.
>> The man's incredible.
>> Yeah. Oh, I I agree with you.
BUT NOT ONLY DOES he have to deliver,
but he has to sell it. He has to be out
there right now selling it.
>> He is selling it. He's already sold it
to me.
>> Yeah. Well, but I mean, again, you're
you're okay in America.
>> You're you're doing okay. There's a lot
of folks out there that are just making
it. And again, they're buying they're
trying to buy food and they're trying to
buy, you know, sneakers for their kids
to go to school and they're trying to,
you know, pay their their heating bill
and they're saying, "Where's the relief
we were promised?"
>> How about all the people that are on
drugs that are that can't make ends of
meat? You know,
that's the problem.
>> Yeah.
>> And he's trying to stop it.
>> He's trying hard to stop it. And I think
he will. Uh but in the meantime, you
know, the people the people need and
expect and want immediate relief and
they don't see it happening. So he's got
to tell them, "Hang on, stick with me.
You've come with me this far. Don't
leave me now because the payoff is going
to be big after the first of the year."
But he's got to convince people to stick
around. He's got some time to do that,
but he's got to do a better job of
selling it. Thank you, my friend.
5089960500
is the number. You're next on WBSM.
>> Hey, Barry. How you doing?
>> Good. the hell are you?
>> I'm trying to keep up keep up with the
heating bill, you know.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> H It's outrageous. I want to talk about
Larry Summers and and uh about Snap.
Let's start with Larry Summers.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh we all know that Larry Summers was uh
secretary of treasury under Bill Clinton
and he also was uh the Harvard president
from 2001 to 2006.
And uh I've seen various news reports on
Larry Summers and he's in hot water
because he he's first of all Larry
Summers a married man with children and
he was having an extra marital affairs
with young women.
>> Well, we don't know that. Hold on just
one second. We don't know that. Yeah, we
know he's apologized.
>> Show the emails that were released by
the DOJ and I've seen them on the news.
>> But you haven't seen Have you seen those
emails? Cuz I haven't.
>> I've seen it on the news.
>> You've seen emails that say that he had
he had relations pages of the emails of
his correspondence with uh with Jeffrey
Epstein and how we asked for advice
about our particular young woman that uh
was giving him a hard time. She didn't
want to she didn't want relations when
should he do uh to attract these these
women to like him more. And the other
thing is uh it's there's more it's going
to come out. These are things that I've
seen on the news. I'm not going to go
over the radio and and say lies about
>> Yeah, but I haven't All right. I I I'm
not saying that you're saying lies, but
a lot of things get reported that are
not necessarily confirmed or factual.
>> The literal the literal copy of the
emails, two of them between him and
Epstein. And uh according to the
[clears throat] news report, uh he was
having communications with Epstein from
2006 as later,
>> right? But that doesn't mean he was
having sex with kids.
>> We don't know that yet.
>> Young, they said young women. They
didn't say anything about young kids.
Well, a young woman could be 18, too.
You know, we we don't know yet. Nothing
has yet.
>> He had communic
uh that he was having emails, sending
emails back and forth from him to
Epstein. Uh and uh he was talking to him
from [clears throat] 2016, I think, up
to 2022 until, you know, he got busted.
In 2019, he there was a court case, you
know, about the one in Florida where
that was dismissed. And even after he
was dismissed, he was still talking to
Epstein. As a matter of fact, at the
time, he was still the president at
Harvard. So, I mean, more is coming out,
but they showed the the the little
digital copies of his emails. So, I'm
not going to go over the airways and I'm
not going to uh go out and invent stuff.
I I I I seen it on the TV. As far as
SNAP is concerned, from 2021 to 2025,
this was reported on on your news
station and others news stations,
there's been a 20% increase in MBT cards
in Massachusetts, especially for illegal
aliens, and they're getting $2,000 a
month on EBT. And I saw uh an interview
with uh with Elon Musk and he was
talking about when he was with Doge, he
and they asked him about fraud and
federal social programs like welfare,
SNAP and so forth. He says this
somewhere between two to300 billion
dollars of fraud and abuse that's
happening in the government. You know,
this is going on all all day long.
Nobody goes to jail. I mean, Mory Healey
and the super majority Democrats are
violating, I'm going to quote you the
part of the law, and if you don't
believe me, you can look it up, federal
immigration law, title 8, subsection
1324, triple I, it's a crime to shelter,
aid, and illegal aliens. You got 501c3s
and NGOs's, especially in the city of
New Bedford. You got CDEC run by
director Karen Williams. And in the
south end, you have the executive
director, Lena Hughes, that's running
the immigrant assistance center. And
they're in violation of title 8
subsection 1324 triple I and nobody does
nothing. No Republicans, no Democrats. I
think a lot of people upset cuz Donald
Trump said he was going to take care of
the illegal immigration problem, but yet
we have over 25,000 illegal aliens
according to the last census, which was
back in uh 2022. Nothing's being done. I
think many Americans are just ticked off
because he's not doing anything about
that.
>> Yeah. Well, you know, again, I it is the
there's a lot of reasons why the economy
is is is not shaken out yet. And it's um
um it's not because there there's a lack
of effort. Uh there's a lot of lot of
work being put into it. There are things
that are holding back. And one of the
things has been the the refusal of the
Fed to uh reduce interest rates and that
that's hurt a lot. thing, Barry, the
other thing, Barry, is is artificial
intelligence. I mean, I listen to CNBC
and Bloomberg and other uh the Wall
Street Journal and the Financial Times,
and we hear about tens of thousands of
layoffs, whether it's American Airlines,
Target, Amazon, I mean, the list goes
on. General Motors, thousands, if not
tens of thousands, UPS, and they'll just
they're just getting rid of a lot of
employees. A lot of it's artificial
intelligence. It could show weakness in
the economy. But like I said, I do a lot
of my research. I'm not going to go over
your your radio station. I'm not going
to go and invent stuff. I'm telling you
from what I'm seeing and I saw the
digital copies on Larry Summers. He's in
doodoo because he got involved with
Epstein and he went to the island and
the emails,
>> right? I I I have I have read all of the
stories about Larry Summers. I have the
the main story from two days ago right
in front of me. It's open right here in
front of me. I can look at it. There's
uh where he talks about a mentee. Well,
hold on. Listen. I I sit here quietly
listening to you and I get three words
out of you jumping down my throat here.
>> Question. Go ahead. Go ahead.
>> I'm just I'm telling you there there is
no specific allegation
at this point that Larry Summers had
sexual relations with a minor. There's
no there are words like menty and so on
and so forth. No.
>> Menty was the woman that the young woman
he was involved with. But we don't know
what he did with her or how old she was.
Now, I suspect based on his apologies
already that he feels he has something
to apologize for.
>> Of course, he has to apologize.
>> But we don't know that yet.
>> Cuz he cheated. He cheated.
>> But we don't know that yet. All we know
is we've got a guy, a very
well-connected guy who is apologizing
and stepping back and resigning and
everything. So, he is insinuating that
he did something wrong. But we don't
know that until the files actually are
released and we read in them. But there
is no file that is out yet that says
Larry Summers violated a child. We don't
have that yet. Now, do I believe that
that probably exists based on his uh
reaction to all of this? I suspect that
it probably does. Um, we got to wait and
see what happens though. 5089960500
is your phone number. And you are next
on WBSM. Thanks for hanging on.
Hi Barry, how are you? It's good.
>> I'm good. Barry, I just wanted to bother
you for one minute and make sure that I
personally took the time to invite you
tonight to the country club to listen to
Mike Nog. If you could make it, we'd
love to have you, Barry.
>> I and I appreciate that. Sheriff Hodson
invited me out there as well. That's
tonight at 7 o'clock if I remember.
>> 6 to 8.
>> 6 to 8. Yeah. And it's open to the
public, right? Folks can go by and meet
him. Absolutely, Barry. But I I know
that the sheriff did, but I wanted to
invite you also.
>> You're awesome. I appreciate that.
>> Okay. I hope to see you tonight, Barry.
And anybody else who wants to come.
>> Thank you. Uh yes, the Republican
gubernatorial uh candidate Mike Mino is
going to be at the New Bedford Country
Club from 6:00 to 8 tonight. And if you
want to go by and meet him and uh and uh
get to know him and everything, that's
certainly going to be available to you.
All right. 5089960500.
You're up next on WBSM. Good afternoon.
>> Hi. Good afternoon, Barry.
>> Hi.
>> I [clears throat] was listening to you,
you know, talking about people having a
tough time making ends meet. Well, you
know, then they need to do what um our
parents did and what you did as a
parent. They need to maybe get a second
job. You know, there are a lot of
employees looking for help. And if they
can't make ends meet, then the the uh
answer is get another job or get a
part-time job, work a little bit more.
You know, people everything today,
everyone's so used to getting everything
so easy that God forbid they actually
have to work for it. And if they have to
buy their kids sneakers, don't go and
buy them the $120. I don't even know
what sneakers go for because I buy I
look for deals with sneakers. I buy mine
at TJ Maxx and I would never even buy a
pair of Nike sneakers. But, you know,
the other day I had to laugh. I was
watching um just the news and they were
showing kids in a school and they all
have the same Nike sneakers. I'd like to
know what those go for. I I guarantee
you they're about a buck 50. So, you
know what? You just tell your kids,
"Sorry, you can't have the Nike
sneakers. You're going to have to
>> Oh, but we're not talking about Nike
sneakers, Kathy. I'm talking about
Walmart sneakers. I'm talking about any
sneakers." There are a lot of families
in this country right now. Hold on.
There are a lot of families in this
country right now that are struggling.
And not because they're not working
enough hours. It's because they have
kids. And you know, I mentioned earlier,
my wife and I are dropping about Hold
on, Kathy. Hold on. I listen to you.
Listen to me. I mentioned earlier my
wife and I drop around 170 bucks on
average a week at the supermarket.
That's a lot of money. That's just the
two of us. Now imagine if I've got two
and three kids, okay? And um you know,
also buying sneakers, cheap Walmart
sneakers, uh buying clothing for school,
uh paying co-pays for kids to go to
doctors, and all the other things you
know that go along with raising kids. So
you don't have to be living in an
exorbitant lifestyle to be strapped for
cash while you're working hard. It's and
that's part of the problem that we have
right now in the country. And I'm not
blaming Trump for that. Trump inherited
that. But Trump has to deliver on the
promise that he made that he was going
to fix that and make life more
affordable.
>> But it's not just Trump, Barry. It's
local. If these people are having a
tough time
>> Yeah. But hold on because you you and so
many people are missing the point here.
And I keep getting text messages from
people that don't even understand what
the hell I'm talking about here. Mora
Healey is responsible for our utility
bills being very expensive. I get all of
that, but the public doesn't care about
that. The public knows that their bill
comes in the mail every month and the
bill is this much and they can't afford
it. And the first person that they point
their finger at is the guy who said,
"Elect me and I'm going to make life
more affordable for you.
Well, Barry, how stupid is that on their
part? How stupid is that? If they don't
recognize that a lot of their expenses
are coming from Mara Healey,
>> Kathy, that doesn't matter. That doesn't
none of that matters. What matters is
it's happening. Okay? So, this is my
point that nobody's listening to me on.
Trump needs to do a better job of
telling the public what's going on.
And they're not doing that. They're not
delivering the message. Trump needs to
get out there and his surrogates need to
get out there and say, "Look, we've been
in office 11 months. We've done XYZ to
fix the economy." Okay, we've had
resistance from the the Fed, the Federal
Reserve. This hasn't happened. That has
But all of these things are going to
come together. We've got courts, the
Supreme Court threatening to take away
our authority to to issue tariffs and so
on and so forth. All of this stuff is
coming together and it's going to take a
couple more months and then you're going
to reap the benefits. This is going to
happen. that's going to happen. But
they're not doing that.
So, I mean, they're losing the public.
Most people don't have time to I know
you study this stuff and you watch the,
you know, Newsmax and One American News
and all of this and people, you know,
the call talk shows are usually pretty
up to date on what's going on. The
average person isn't. They don't have
the time for it. They're living their
lives and they're
>> That's the problem. That's what I'm
trying to get across to you. That is the
problem. They are not paying attention.
They don't get involved. They don't
demand that their local government, you
know, do what's right. They just expect
miracles. They expect to just put their
head up their butt and everything's
going to be wonderful. And guess what?
It doesn't work that way. It doesn't
work that way. They want to, you know,
you know, the whole society is so
different from what it was once was.
People today have expectations like um
everyone everything's going to just work
out fine if they don't get involved.
they're just going to sit back, you
know, um, eat their Doritos and drink
their soda and watch football and the
world's going to be wonderful. Well,
guess what? That's not the way it works.
They don't get involved. They don't pay
attention to what their kids are being
taught in school. Their kids are getting
brainwashed, indoctrinated into all this
insanity. And then you wonder why. I
mean, just look at like um, uh, what was
his name who came on was telling people
how they have to behave on airplanes.
And you see what's you see the videos of
people fighting on airplanes, people
with their feet up in the air behind
somebody's chair. I mean people that's
what our society has come to. Our
society has come down to a bunch of
>> right and all of this is what we have
dealt to us. This is our hand. Okay. So
I can't solve all of the problems of the
world or all of the problems of the
country. Neither can you. We can't force
people to vote. We can't force people to
be educated about it. None of that
matters anyway. It doesn't matter. You
can be outraged at people eating Cheetos
and watching football,
but that doesn't solve the problem that
we have here. The problem is the economy
is no better now than it was when Trump
took office. Trump ran for president and
said Biden screwed up the economy. I'm
going to fix it. Day one, I'm going to
fix the economy. Want a drill, baby
drill. Everybody's going to have plenty
of gas and it's going to be under two
bucks and stakes going to come down and
eggs are going to come down. All the
prices are going to be wonderful again.
And it hasn't happened yet. So it
doesn't matter whether you watch
football and eat Cheetos or whether you
watch the news 24/7. You're going to go
and vote next year and you going to go
vote on two things. Number one, what was
I promised in 2024? Number two, what is
my reality today? So it doesn't matter.
None of this other stuff matters. It's
just noise.
If the Trump administration cannot
deliver on the promise that it made to
the people, he's going to be dealt a
blow in the midterms. And that's a
simple truth. It is the reality of it.
I'm with you. More people should pay
attention. More people should know what
they're doing when they vote. But they
don't. And we can't fix that. We've got
an election coming up in less than a
year unless this administration and it
isn't Morah Healey. It isn't Joe Biden.
It isn't anybody else.
Donald Trump has to deliver relief. All
of these other people did bad things to
us in our economy and it costing us to,
you know, spend a lot of money and pay a
lot of money. Trump promised to deliver
and to fix it. If he doesn't deliver and
fix it, he's going to pay the price at
the ballot box next year. 5089960500
will come.

234. I'm getting a headache today. You
know, I just I don't understand the
logic behind some some of you folks that
um because I am pointing out a reality
to you, something that you need to you
need to be maybe slapped a little
bit and and wake out of it. Uh snap out
of it and understand because I am
telling you um a truth that you may not
like to hear. I'm not being I've been
being accused of being disloyal to
Trump. Oh my god, I'm being disloyal to
Trump. I'm being oh giving up. I'm
surrendering. I'm g No, I'm telling you
the truth. I swore on day one of this
this gig that I've got right now that I
would never lie to you. I'm telling you
the truth as I see it. The
administration has to do a better job of
convincing the people that we are still
on course for an economic erection and
that that's going to happen sometime
soon or he's going to lose the people
and he will lose the midterms. Now, if
you find that being disloyal or
abandoning or or you know you're crazy.
You've got to be able to sit down and do
some analysis. And you guys are better
analysts than that. If you don't see
this, you don't see it um at your own
peril. That's all I can say. 5089960500.
Thanks for hanging on. You're up next in
WBSM. Good afternoon.
>> Good afternoon, Barry.
>> Hey,
>> I um yes, I uh believe you're right. Uh
people vote by their pocketbook. Uh, I'm
a I'm a Trump supporter and I always
will probably be, but if he doesn't do
better with the economy, and it's not
his fault. I mean, he was left with
that, but he has to do better. Uh, it
seems like when you go out, everywhere
you go, you spend money, everything is
going up up up all the time.
>> Yeah. Uh the gas the the the fuel came
down and they were saying that's why
your groceries are high because they got
to bring it in. But the gas did come
down. So I don't know if what's going on
with the grocery stores. Are they the
one gouging you or what? You know,
sometimes you think what's going on with
them because they keep on going up and
up and up.
>> Well, you know what? They never came
down. That's the problem. and and you
were supposed to see prices come down
and with the exception of eggs, I don't
know of anything else that came down in
price. And even the gas, the gas came
down a little bit, but it went back up
again.
>> Well, certain things in your grocery
store and other places are going up.
>> Uh say for instance, coffee. I know it's
a lot. It's in it's imported,
>> but uh not long ago, I was I go to Cland
Farms. Not long ago, I was paying way
under a dollar for a large cup of
coffee. Now it's $2. I mean over
>> Wow.
>> So, you know, every time you go into a
place, you say, "What the hell is going
on?"
>> Yeah. Exactly. And and you know what?
There may be some good reasons for it,
but it doesn't matter. Trump got
elected. I love Trump till the day I
die. And I think Trump's been, you know,
one of the greatest presidents we've
ever had in this country. And I think
he's really trying his butt off. I think
he's got a plan. I think the plan needs
to be followed through and needs to be
worked out. And I think ultimately we'll
be okay, but they have to get out there
and tell the people because, you know,
people Yeah. people don't care about,
you know, Mora Healey and what she did
to energy prices and all that. All they
care about is they open their their
their checkbook at the end of the month
and see how much is there.
He's doing a terrific job and
everything, but uh that's that will hurt
him definitely uh with the economy
because I think that's what the
Democrats are going to nail them on. You
know, he's got to he's got to improve
it.
>> And I hope I hope he gives the seniors
uh a little better in their uh cost of
living at the end of the year instead of
one 1% or one and a half%. I mean, they
can do better than that. Well, we're
going to we're going to see our t no
longer going to be taxed on social
security after the first of the year.
So, that's that's a benefit. You'll be
able to get more, but it's not going to
be like a a more healy 11% pay raise or
10% pay raise for the legislature. We're
never going to see that on social
security. That's never going to happen.
Um, but you're right. And and there,
see, there's another case. Now, the
seniors are the voters that are the most
difficult to win over. They should be
out every single day talking to seniors
about how their um you know how their
cost of living is uh you know uh going
to be adjusted and how the the no longer
going to be taxed on on your social
security and all that. But they're not
doing that. They just assume everybody
knows this stuff and you can't do that.
No, I I I hope he's not out of touch
with the seniors because uh a lot of us
are watching this time around and uh uh
what is he going to do for us, you know?
So,
>> absolutely. Thank you, my friend.
Appreciate it. 5089960500
is the number. You're next on WBSM.
>> Good afternoon, Barry. I agree with you.
I agree with you 110%.
>> He's got to focus all his energies,
everything, everything. and the
Republican party, everything has to be
focused on the economy right now. You
know, people do, you know, the thing
people notice the most is gas prices,
right? I mean, you know, I've seen gas
come down just a little bit, but you
know, nothing like
uh, you know, what what was when Trump
was in office before. And, you know,
like you say, he said, "Drill, baby,
drill." You know, well, let's get
drilling. I just paid for 465 bucks for
oil. I think 300, sorry, $312 a gallon.
I can remember back when he was
president, I think I was the the best I
had was about a buck 50 a gallon, which
which was great. People people
understand that energy prices, you have
to you have to do that. Uh, you know,
he's got to he's got to start focusing
on that. Everything else should be full
100% on the economy. It has to be. And
giving people relief and people notice
it at the pumps and that's what people
notice it the most. Energy, you know,
we're going into the winter now. People
have to heat their homes, you know, the
heating oil and so forth. But uh you
know and and the Republican party has to
get behind them. They they don't they
just don't do it. You know, they
>> No, I mean they they they don't they get
in these circular firing squads and
shoot at each other. But you know, I
think that the plan the plan is a plan
in in in progress and and I as I said
earlier, I remember during Reagan's
first administration, it took him over a
year uh for all of the policies to
finally kick in and for the economy to
get better. I mean, under under Jimmy
Carter, we were paying double-digit
interest rates to buy a house and and
stuff like that. I mean, it was just
totally miserable. We had we couldn't
even get gas back then. Remember, they
shut the the spigot off. We couldn't get
any gas. And um
>> Right. But
>> you look at like look at look at Mario.
Look what's going on in our state.
Typically, the the blue states are the
most expensive states to live in, you
know,
>> and uh as opposed to the red states.
He's got to sell that because you know
again what she's doing to our to our
state you know illegal immigration has
killed
>> but you know what the voters come next
come next year the voters are not going
to differentiate they're not going to
they all they know is they got a guy who
said you know I'm going to do this and
and they're going to say well you know
yeah you didn't do it and it ain't
really going to matter in Massachusetts
anyway because we're going to elect all
Democrats anyway right all the Yeah. But
I mean it's it's in the states where it
does matter, where they do actually have
two parties, uh that it could make a big
difference. And um
>> but especially up here in the Northeast,
you know, people, you know, when it gets
into home heating all the time, you
know, people think, you know, be
freaking out. You know, you can if they
start seeing their heating bill go down
and the price of gasoline go down, they
can look at look at it. But if he
doesn't do this, we are in big trouble
of losing uh losing in the midterms big
again. And you know, that the the uh
media, the Democratic media is is, you
know, is uh you know, they do a good job
at beating the hell out of this.
>> Well, Trump's, you know, campaign was
promises made, promises kept, and now
he's promised this a better economy, and
he's got to deliver, and he's working
his ass off on it. He's working real
hard. Um the policies have not kicked in
yet. And I think I think um from what I
hear from people in this administration,
we should see start to see a noticeable
difference after the first of the year.
And you better hope we do. Thank you, my
friend. I got to hold you right there. I
got a whole bunch on hold now. I want to
try to get everybody in before the end
of the day. You're next on WBSM.
[clears throat] Good afternoon.
>> Hello.
>> Hi, Barry.
>> Hi.
>> Hi.
>> Now, there's no question about it that
some things have to be done. I was
listening to vice president the other
day and he agreed that the housing has
to have something done and they haven't
really come up with a solution cuz I
feel bad. I have a daughter and uh and a
husband both went to college and they're
they're renting out a a home for like
$1,700 a month which is up in New York
area. But um people don't realize that
uh I think some of them do. The last
administration put a wrecking ball to
this country.
>> Yeah.
>> I mean they destroyed everything
everything they could get their hands
on. And you don't you don't really hear
a lot about that. People just talk about
the economy and I understand that. But
people have to realize this guy is
saving thousands of lives. Thousands of
these he's blowing up these boats in the
water. Some people say it's not it's not
good, but every a lot of people agree
with it. These pe these things are
killing our children. And you don't hear
people calling you up and mentioning
about that. They're just talking about
their wallet.
>> No, because every time you hear the
media talk about it, they question the
legality of it or the ethics of it. I
mean, how dare he I actually had a story
from AP that I read on the air last week
about how they were uh uh they decided
to take a deep dive into just who these
people were that were on the boats and
these were poor uh you know poor guys
that were down on their luck and they
couldn't make a living in their home of
I don't know wherever the hell they were
from in El Salvador, Venezuela, whatever
Colombia and uh so they went out well
yeah they were running drugs but you
know they they they needed the money and
so so you know they sympathize
with these people that are running the
the fentinel into your country to kill
your kids. And this is the kind of media
coverage that that we're getting on this
story.
>> Yeah. People have to realize that the
last administration, they were out to
take over our country. They were
destroying everything. Even I felt my
life was at state. I honestly did. And I
feel a little safer now. And there's no
question that the economy now I think it
I think it did go up about like 1% uh
housing and stuff like that compared the
what the Biden administration when it
doubled and and that's a hard thing to
to do what they're trying to do. And and
I don't think Donald Trump is bragging
about a lot of stuff he's doing. He has
a way.
>> But he needs to see that's that's the
problem. He needs to because the media
is telling you the economy sucks. The
Democrats are telling you the economy
sucks. Trump needs to go out and say
this is what we are doing and this is
the results we're getting so far.
>> A good attitude. Yeah. To me, he's just
trying to show a good attitude, trying
to keep people upbeat.
>> Yeah, but you got to sell people.
>> You got to convince people to go out and
give him more Republicans in Congress
next year. But you you got to tell them
why
>> they need to do that.
>> Yeah. I think I think I I really I
really admire the way he handles
himself. I mean, I'm not making any more
money than I did before he was
president, but I know what's going on. I
know what he's doing. Yeah.
>> And and that's why I think there's more
people who do like him than there are
who do not.
>> Well, I you know, look, I think people
again people I don't want to say people
are fickle, but I think people um can
only see as far as the end of their
pocketbook. And if if times are tough
and times are still expensive for them
and again you know if if you're you know
you got some money whatever maybe it's
not such a big deal but if you're a
family and you're working and you got
two three kids and you're trying to buy
the sneakers and you're trying to put
the food on the table and you're trying
to pay for little league I don't know if
you put a kid through little league
recently it's very expensive um all this
all these kind of things save for
college for your kids and all that it is
very difficult to get by right now never
mind coming up with a down payment for a
So, you elect a guy, you love him to
death. You love him, but he said he was
going to fix all this on day one, and he
hasn't yet.
It may not be his fault that he hasn't,
but he promised. And that's what people
are going to remember when the next
election comes along. Thank you, my
friend. I got to get a break in. We're
coming right back.

[music] to hold back this feeling for so
long.
[music]
>> All right. 251 right now on a
kind of cloudy afternoon and welcome
back to the program. Appreciate you
being here. Let's get back to your
calls. You are next in WBSM. Thanks for
hanging on.
>> Good afternoon, Barry.
>> Hey.
>> Hey. I think that was uh Midnight at the
Oasis you played a little while back. I
think that was Maria Moldor Mold.
>> Yeah, Midnight at the Oasis.
>> That was what?
>> Put your camel to bed. Yeah, I remember.
>> Yeah. [laughter]
>> Good stuff.
>> Yeah, it was out in Arizona at prep
school back then. That's why I remember
it.
um talking about the uh the voters and
uh
remember I had a class in
communications, believe it or not, they
got a class communications when I was at
SMU. Um, and I think that uh what I'm
hearing a lot because they say they used
to say, you know, talk face the person
you're speaking to and tell them what
you hear them saying and ask them if
that's accurate accurate and they repeat
it back to you, you know, the way that
you intended to intended it to be
understood. Then you successfully
communicated. If not, then you have to
redevelop, you know, reapproach it.
>> Yep. But um I think a lot of people have
been calling you
and uh
they're they're speaking a different
language
than
a lot of the people that go to the polls
and vote.
>> Yes.
>> You need to speak to them in the
language that they understand if you
want to communicate with them that they
need to vote for the Republicans. And
whatever that language is, make it never
mind.
>> Right. No, I I agree with you 100% and
that's exactly what I believe the
administration is not doing right now
and they need to do a much better job
about it. I got to hold you my friend. I
got to get this break in. It's so
tomorrow we'll find an issue that we
agree on. But uh um got to get out of
here. News is coming up next. ABC News
