welcome to 's Tales story time brought
to you by Prager you kids I'm Jill and
today I'm reading a story based on a
famous tale about a train and a little
steam engine
who yes Auto wow as I was saying today
I'm reading a story based on a famous
tale about a train and a little steam
engine who
and a little steam
engine who could let's read The Little
Engine once upon a time there was a
happy train chugging along its way its
cars were full of toys dolls and treats
to transport across the countryside to
deliver to children who lived on the
other side of the Great Hills this house
happy train loved its job and took pride
in doing the hard work expected of it so
it chug chug chugged down the tracks
through the meadows and across the miles
late in the day the train approached the
Great Hills steeper and rockier than any
other ridges it had climbed before but
this train had an important job to
complete so it chug chug chugged up the
tracks approach approached the first
mountain
and couldn't even make it halfway before
it slid back down the slope the train
took a pause and tried again chug chug
chugging up the tracks up the first
mountain and right back down again what
am I going to do the train began to
doubt itself it never had this much
trouble with hills
before how am I going to deliver all
these toys dolls and treats to the
children before nightfall the train knew
it needed help so it rested on the side
of the fork in the tracks for another
engine to Roll Along soon a large shiny
engine came steaming towards the train
from the opposite side it was powerful
strong and surely able to help the train
over the hill excuse me large and shiny
engine the modest Train's whistle
signaled the large shiny engine
screeched to a halt its silver steel
almost blinding in the sunlight the
train explained its situation I need to
deliver all of these Goods to children
on the other side of these Hills and I
can't seem to make it up by myself can
you please give us a pull or a push to
lend some help ha the large shiny engine
bellowed I'm a passenger engine don't
you know I only transport real people I
don't carry
dolls it huffed and puffed and continued
past the train only to stop and rest at
the station further down the
rout oh well the train sighed and waited
for its next opportunity to seek help
before too long another engine came
racing down the tracks it was even more
powerful more strong and much more
capable of helping the train Over The
Impossible Hills excuse me the train
whistled again but this engine didn't
pause at all it whizzed past with a
swift wind and hollered out no time no
time I'm a freight car can't you see I'm
carrying machines to deliver to
important
places the train was once again alone
another large engine rushed by and then
another not one engine stopped to help
the train with its toys dolls and treats
just as the sun was beginning to set a
tiny small steam engine was chwo Choo
chewing towards the train from across
the way this little engine is much too
small there's no way it could help me
over these Hills the train didn't bother
signaling for help for what good would
it do to the Train's surprise The Little
Engine stopped short hi it squeaked you
need some help stunned the train
explained how it tried to chug chug chug
over the hills a few times but could not
make it by itself The Little Engine
quietly listened and then thought for a
moment why don't I help you with a push
the little engine beamed with its Bright
Idea do you think you can
the train was
doubtful yes I think I can the little
engine insisted The Little Engine hopped
tracks and tucked itself behind the last
car of toys chug chug chug went the
train and choo choo choo went the little
engine up the tracks up the hill
and I think I can I think I can I think
I can the train up front could hear the
little engine
small But Mighty choo choo all the way
in the back I think I can I think I can
I think I can the train pulled the
little engine pushed chug chug chug pull
pull pull push push push choo choo choo
all the way up up up the hill and all
the way to the top it wasn't easy but
they did it the train cried wee with
Glee the Little Engine kept on chew Cheo
chewing I think I can I think I can I
think I can the train with the Cars full
of dolls toys and treats and the little
engine all tipped over the top of that
first impossible Hill over and over
together they kept chug chug chugging
and chwo chw chewing up the hills and
down the hills we think we can we think
we can we think we can all the way
through the Steep and Rocky Gra pass
faster and faster on the traps leading
them to their delivery destination the
train was gdy in disbelief The Little
Engine beamed I knew I could I knew I
could I knew I could The Little Engine
whistled all the way down the last Hill
the train was grateful the children were
delighted and the little steam engine
learned that if you think you can then
you usually
can the end that little steam engine had
confidence and perseverance to keep
going and knew how to cooperate to help
get a job done
Auto I see you found all the toys the
little steam engine helped deliver yes
you know having confidence and a can do
attitude and not giving up before you
even try is so important uh hey what
might you be able to say the next time
you have a hard job in front of
