Hello everyone, today is going to be epic because we're at Twisted Oaks Bike Park and
we're about to do a power hour.
I just got this new Swatch from Swatch.
It's the bio-ceramic power of nature.
So I've decided to use the time to have one hour of absolute sense.
I'm flying tomorrow to Costa Rica for an event called the Fire Ride Festival.
It's going to be super fun, so this is going to be a nice little warm-up before we leave.
So timer starts now, let's do as many tricks as possible.
First trick, backflip, nice, 360, oh yeah, 360 X-up, yeah, here we go, let's see if we
can flip bar it, whoa, yeah, let's get a three-table, oh that was a weird one, it was
like a double-table, let's do it again, nice, let's see if we can get a frontie on the go,
oh yeah, let's get a tailwhip, I'm not that good at them on the big wheels, oh no, easy,
yeah, super seater, oh wow, so clean, let's see what this barrel roll is going to be like,
oh yeah, that's pretty cool, classic flip, one for X-up,
in for the classic trick I've done like a million of, backflip no hands, jump, three,
oh wow, yeah, that actually works better than a normal one, there we go, it's been
just over 15 minutes, I stack it up before we started and it's so much better just with that
little extra mulch pile there, well good, we're going to go in that direction and ride a bit of
the red line. We've now just come over to the red line, I'm going to be sessioning four jumps in a
row, I'm on my slope duro bike, I didn't actually mention that event is going to be on the slope
duro bike, so I'm 27.5 front and rear, this is the Canyon Spectral, without a front brake you
can spin bars and kick whips, so as it's a power hour and the bike park's bigger than a skate park
where these videos originated from, we're going to pause the time until we get to each spot, so
we'll continue the timer now, let's get it. As I'm running a radio mic, this is quite a
long trail with ups and downs, the sound keeps cutting out, so we might
put tunes in between each run, let's try and get spinnier and flippier now.
It's quite windy on there, I got all weird on that flip one for X,
then couldn't think of anything, so I did a no foot seat grab, what an old classic, it's been
like 25 minutes of pure bangers so far, well fun, let's do another option on here
and I think we'll move on already because it's quite glowy.
It's been about half an hour now, we've blasted out quite a few things, we're going to stop on
there because it's a bit windy, we're going to session this wall ride for a little bit,
kind of looks wet so I might get a good slam on there, let's give that a go,
quite hard with the sun in the eyes as well,
oh yeah, that felt quite good, it's a bit weird with the sun in the eyes,
let's move over that direction for some more stuff. We've just finished off over there,
we're walking past this area to the jump section, we're just going to
rewind a bit because it takes a little bit to walk around, we'll go to about there,
we've done half an hour of riding, let's do a few little jibs and trickaroonies on here.
Casey McSteves on there then, let's just take them as two tricks more ticked off that direction.
We've got about 25 minutes left of shredding so we've quickly come over to the jumps here,
I can do a few tricks back to back and then we'll head that way to do more trickery.
Here we go, tyre grab, tuck edge, no foot can,
X up, backflip, Boyd is in, 10 years old, clean on the transfer, perfect on there,
huge edge, yes, is he going to get the racer, nice, oh yes, bangers, good one.
What a boss. I've rewound it back, we've got 25 minutes left of shredding, come on.
In this hour of power, look at this, this is the birdhouse banger, you just go up this slanted
tree and then you can fakie out of it, well good. Oh my God, I thought I was going to flip
backwards then, that's really nice that transition, let me go quicker at it, yes,
claimed. I'm going to run up that bit of trail there, we'll get a quick classical music
slow-mo on that sort of jump there.
I didn't particularly like that slow-mo but we've only got like 20 minutes left of available
riding time, so I'm going to take it and we're going to blast over there to the dual where I
think I can manual the whole trail. Right, manualing the whole of the dual might be wishful
thinking, whenever I drop the front wheel from then on I can do a few tricks, so still going
to be fun. Louie, get that gopes in your head, let's do it. I'm going to start the manny from
the first table and whenever the front wheel drops, which will probably be well soon,
then I'll just do a load of tricks as well, ready? Let's, here we go.
Front wheel dropped, going up the next table, whatever, that was pretty cool. We've got about
15 minutes of fun left, you actually don't realise how long it takes to move around in a bike park,
but it's all good fun. We've now got Boyd with us as well for the sesh,
and he's got YouTube. What's your YouTube channel? MTBOID. MT Boyd, because that's his name, or
MT Boyd, like his brain. Right, go on then Boyd, you can start off this little short final session
on these jumps. Boom. Oh, went for the tuck-on. I've got a good one. Oppo, no,
but can, oh my god, that is terrifying. Regular, yes. Bangers from Boyd.
Oh my god, the seat bounce landing. Yes. We just squeezed out a quick few jumps in
trousers there. The wind is still quite strong, so I'm going to switch to the e-bike,
and then I'll just blast out the last few jumps with the GoPro.
I'll probably get about three laps in there, so let's give that a go.
It's windy.
That is so blowing. Yes. I can't ride that much more. Let's do a ready, less wind.
Ready for a shreddy.
Wow, his tire's still soft from the toe video the other week.
Oh, what a fun line.
Yes.
Oh, that's amazing.
I've got like three or four minutes left. I can squeeze in a full-length lap
of the four-cross track. Oh, it's windy. Get it.
Full speed.
Oh, yes.
Boom, there we go. The hour is up. Thank you very much to Swatch for giving me the idea
by sending me this lovely new watch. You guys are the best. That was actually epic to just ride
and do loads of tricks in one day for once. If you like that, I'll do some more power hours.
It was actually more like a power two hour because we paused it each time we walked around
to different spots. That was actually quite strenuous. Well, good fun. Anyway, let me know
if you want to see another one. The next video will be from Costa Rica. Keep your eyes peeled.
See you in the next one.
