I am Brad. I'm John. We're going to do someone new. Okay. Yeah. We've got a request sent
in along with some press stuff. I'm not sure how to say the name, so I'm going to butcher it in
typical, you know, way that I do. Slyosis. Maybe. Sounds good to me. Yeah. Let us know if we're
wrong. Yes, please. Probably are. They're a British metal band. They can't talk. It's a
British heavy metal band formed in Reading, Berkshire, England. Country. I was going to say
I'm down, but I'm country. A little bit over from me, actually. But in 2000, you can find some of
their videos and stuff on nuclear blast records, which strangely enough, I think is where this one
came from. I wasn't paying too much attention. They sent the link. Okay. So that means I click
the link and this helps us. And that's about as far as that's about as much attention as I actually
paid about the channel name, unfortunately. But anyway, there was writing and stuff that went
along with it. So I'm going to read the writing and stuff that went along. All right. When the
going gets tough, metal gets heavier. That's always a plus. Slyosis. There we go. I've butchered it again,
I'm sure. Have always been devoted to the fine art of breaking necks. But in recent times, the urgency
of their mission has grown exponentially. And Josh Middleton. I'm assuming he's the lead singer.
Virtuoso Wrecking Crew are poised to release their latest, seventh, and best album,
The New Flesh, which also incidentally, is the same name as this song, which weirdly enough,
comes from said album. Okay. The New Flesh, which releases February 20th, next year, 2026.
Yeah, a couple of months. Mark it on your calendars. Yep. What is that?
It's three months away. February? Yeah, like two. February 20th.
Yeah. So it's the end of the month. So it's about just under, but about three months away.
I thought you said February 12th. Oh, I don't know why. So the New Flesh is a fearsome statement
of renewed intent. Harder, heavier, and more ruthless than its predecessors. So it's going
me to bang my head and break my neck, which I'm looking at the ability to because I think I did
it too many times when I was younger. Probably. Karak's Cockpit Blast, and now it's like...
Harder, heavier, and more ruthless than its predecessors. So it is full of the kind of
explosive riff-driven anthems that guarantee carnage in the bit. Sounds like a band straight
from the 80s. Yeah, it kind of does. It's a good old-fashioned proper metal band. Yeah.
Just saying. My hair's long for me, but it's not long enough for the metal thrashing.
Yeah, mine used to be beyond shoulder length. This is driving me crazy that it's just
past my ears. Don't worry. At least one of their guitar players makes up for it in the hair
department. We're talking definitely Tommy length hair. Pantene commercials.
They're more likely to get that.
So are you ready? Yes.
All right. Before we check them out, make sure you hit the like and subscribe.
Check out the description down below. You're going to find all our links,
information, and stuff down there. 90s hair commercials. The ladies washing their hair.
Anyway, right.
I know it hurts us from watching it. I know.
I'll say, I could have done that when I was young.
I could. I've been way too dizzy.
I could, and I have done that. Not that I had hair. Well, I had a mullet, so.
I did, yeah. Well, mine wasn't that long.
I was only a teenager.
Yeah, I have done that, and I have hurt myself too.
Yeah, this is definitely the kind of music you want to
not be sitting down.
Yeah, this literally takes me back to
the Kager party, or just the music's jamming loud, and everyone's usually outside and
jumping around. Yeah.
A few products in your hand that you shouldn't be having because you're underage.
Well, one was illegal at the time.
Good thing the ages for that stuff were a lot lower in England.
Yeah, out of all the people I knew in school who were in
bands and stuff, only two of them still work in the music industry,
and one of them is a bass player for, well, at least two metal bands.
Strangely enough, so he's literally my age and still doing that.
All of the ones who have the rock bands and the pop groups and stuff like that,
because there were actually, weirdly enough, quite a few little small music groups in our school.
All of them, yeah.
One of them works for a floating company making custom yachts.
One of them works for an insurance, big insurance group.
It's nice to know that at least one of them is still in this.
We should actually do some of the stuff that he's on, come to think of it.
So it's kind of like this is, in a way, a lot of the music I don't want to say I grew up with.
This is a lot of music that I was exposed to when I was in school.
Yeah. I mean, you definitely get that Metallica and Megadeth sound from them.
Yeah, the singer sounds kind of picture, I think, of very nice.
started, but I mean, that was usually type of music.
Yeah, that was very much the end of my grammar school years, secondary education,
that was very much kind of music. I was swapping between metal like that
and basically things like Pink Floyd.
Yeah, I'm thinking that the voice kind of reminds me of, what is it?
Yeah, Rammstein.
Rammstein.
Yeah, it's got quite a lot of depth to it.
This is what I needed to be listening to when we were digging that.
200 foot.
Ditch out there.
It's 150.
It's the type of sound that just gets you going. I mean, we don't have the room to get us going in
here. I mean, it's all that and I can't. First of all, I have no neck to go back and forth like
that, but I mean, like I said, my neck can do this just from watching. It can do it.
Yeah, we'll definitely have to check out some of their other stuff.
Yeah.
Especially since this is basically, this is a song from the seventh album,
which means there's at least six others.
Yeah, I thought I said that, yeah.
Yeah. So, I think the last, I think the sixth album was released in 23, I think it was.
So they have a huge catalog that we could be going through.
Exactly.
I guess as long as there's videos for them.
Yeah. Yeah, because there's, I think there's currently six studio albums.
Seventh one coming in February.
Check it out.
Two live albums. And I think Wikipedia said there was one compilation album as well,
but I could be wrong about that one.
I'm just glad to see that there's still music like this out there.
Yeah.
So much of that we listen to, it's, you know, that we react to just seems to be
so much of the pop-type style.
Yeah.
I mean, we do. I mean, you know, we've got, we've reacted to some other new people too, though.
Yeah.
No.
Velvet Grip and...
Velvet Grip with Heavy Lines.
What's the other ones? What's the T?
Terra Nova.
Yeah. Well, they also have like The Warning, you know, the girl bands.
For the most part, not quite as metal, but yeah.
Well, no.
It varies depending on the song to a degree.
But they're not just sitting there singing a pop song,
which is, yeah, it's nice to have this type of music.
So, yeah.
Well, yeah, we're definitely going to, now that we've rambled on long enough,
we're definitely going to check them out some more.
So if you want to see those, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
