Beto O'Rourke convinces TRUMP SUPPORTER to flip and vote for him in EPIC video
I've been a lifelong Republican voter.
I actually voted for Donald Trump.
If you need any more evidence that people in Texas are starting to see through the BS that
is the Republican Party, then just listen to this former Trump supporter discuss Beto O'Rourke.
I've been a lifelong Republican voter.
I actually voted for Donald Trump.
Absolutely.
100% Beto supporter.
He's very intelligent.
He has well thought out, you know, approaches.
And you spend a little time listening to him.
Take a little time and listen to what he has to say about these different issues.
Because it's not right or left.
It's about Texas.
And that's what we need to hear.
The people of Texas are with us.
The majority of the people of Texas are with us.
But we've got to stand up to this.
Or we just accept this theater and business as usual.
And we accept the next shooting.
We could have stopped this if we had stood up after Santa Fe High School.
If we had stood up after El Paso.
We are going to stop the next one.
We're standing up right here in Ubaldi, Texas, right now.
We don't hear that out of Greg Abbott.
Just seem to get progressively and progressively far more extreme.
Far away from the Republican Party that I remember, you know, as a younger person.
So I really had to take a hard look at myself.
Take a hard look at what I believed and what I supported.
And I just found myself in a position where I could not support that side of the aisle anymore.
Absolutely a lifelong Republican voter.
And I am voting for Beto O'Rourke for governor of the state of Texas.
This is not the first time we've seen former Republicans ask Beto O'Rourke questions
during a town hall and be swayed to his side.
I was born a Republican.
I've never voted Democrat in all my life.
I was going for the other guy, I'm not gonna lie.
But I came here to hear your point of views.
What do you plan to do about the border,
about the millions of people that are coming in to the United States?
As you know, I live in El Paso.
Amy and I are raising our three kids on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Here's how I feel.
And this is what I'm going to do as governor.
If you want to come to this country,
you want to join a family member,
you want to work a job,
you want to claim asylum or seek refuge,
we want you to be able to do that.
But you have to do that legally.
You have to do that in an orderly fashion.
And we're going to make sure that we honor the laws on our side.
You know, the current governor on the eve of that El Paso shooting,
where 23 of my neighbors lost their lives,
sent out a mailer talking about an invasion,
asking Texans to defend themselves and take matters into their own hands.
What if Texas elected a governor
who would work on rewriting our immigration laws
to match our ideals and our values,
our necessities and the reality that we see?
What if we had a governor who wasn't trying to scare you
about people coming over here to get you?
So let's make sure that we do the right thing.
Safe, legal, orderly,
and we rewrite our laws to reflect our values.
Thank you for coming here.
Afterwards, I'm going to ask you how I did
and whether we can count on your vote, okay?
Thank you, but no pressure, all right?
I voted for Mr. Greg Abbott.
I voted for Trump for president.
Never in my life have I voted.
Never have I gone blue, never.
But I really heard from Mr. O'Rourke.
If he's going to protect our system,
if he's going to protect the borders,
if he's going to protect our children,
me and my family will vote blue.
