Hey, everybody, today we're going to check out this really awesome home
with a spectacular view, super well built.
You're going to love it. Let's get to it.
Aloha, everybody.
Mike Drewtower, principal broker of Next Home Paradise Realty,
bringing you another property tour today.
We are checking out this gem on Nightingale Lane.
You're going to like it.
Unbelievable forever views on this
very well constructed home with a lot of attention to detail.
You know, we love that.
And there's a little peekaboo of the view that you got.
We are perched high above like this is off Waco Street.
So if you're familiar with town, this is up above Kona Vistas
in a little bitty neighborhood of like eight homes with a minimal HOA.
Really just got kind of a little road maintenance fee for your for your dues.
I think it's something like 500 bucks for the year.
So really good way to live.
I'm going to show you the outside the inside, tell you my three favorite things.
And the one thing I would change or add, if this was mine, let's get right to it.
First of all, really well constructed.
You can tell right off the bat here we have a really nice standing seam metal roof.
We are fully guttered all the way around.
We have a stucco exterior, two tone paint on that
solar photovoltaic system, solar hot water heater.
And this absolutely huge
entry driveway as I keep walking back.
Got about 10 more feet here, guys.
You could fit one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
You can fit nine cars in this driveway.
No problem.
Plus, you'll see we have a three car garage, but it's actually better than that.
That garage, it looks like this is all one building and it is technically.
But like there's a connection right over there where that door is.
That's the end of the garage. Not there.
It is a three car garage plus workshop space.
So if you're someone who's looking for extra space and this guy here is,
this is a pretty good one to take a look at.
We got some nice rock wall work here on the side.
Good job on that.
Got some red ginger here on the corner.
Low to zero maintenance on our gravel here.
We got some lime trees around.
Got some neighbors on the other side there.
But you can still see that you got a little bit more space larger
than your typical, you know, 10,000 square foot lots,
15,000 square foot lots that we see out here quite a bit.
You can also see that we have some propane over here.
Got that nice and shielded.
But the propane truck can come right in there and fill it up.
Our three garage doors.
And they didn't go just basic wood or basic metal garage doors.
They went with these really nice upgraded wood,
which means you're going to have to have a bigger garage door opener.
It costs more money.
And when you see people spending money on things that they don't have to spend money on,
you know that they're spending good money on most of the things that they're doing,
because like there's places you can go cheap and there's places where you can spend extra.
You can see we've got some windows open in here.
These are the crank windows that we see.
They're still double pane, but up at this elevation,
you're required to do double pane windows on homes that are built now.
But at this elevation, you really just keep your windows open all the time.
Some of us have complained that the county requires double pane windows,
even on homes without heating and air conditioning
when you're going to have them open all the time.
But, you know, what can you do?
Nice entry here.
We have a double door entry with these really prominent columns
wrapped in basalt stone.
And while I did point out the driveway, I didn't mention that we got a nice,
wonderful stamped concrete and stained down here, giving you that lava rock look.
Really good job. This house has a nice entrance and you can already see,
I don't think it's coming through on camera.
Nope. But in person, you see right through all the way to the pocket door
and the incredible view.
Got 12 by 24 horizontally placed basalt
flooring here at our entry.
And yeah, good size on these windows.
Really well done. I like them.
I'm going to kick off my shoes and then we are going to walk in quickly.
Let's center up our camera.
There we go.
And I know you guys want to take in the view.
I'll go to it right away and then we'll turn around and look back
and come through the property.
So here we are, guys.
This is one of those ten out of ten views, sweeping, unobstructed,
unobstructable shoreline views.
A beautiful day here in Kona.
It's about 11 o'clock on a Saturday.
Boy, so we can see to the north, all the way out to the airport,
Honokohau Harbor, Old A's, Kailua Bay,
all the way down the coastline, Lyman's
Bay with the swim spot over there.
Oh, my gosh.
All the way right to the edge of Keaho.
Really outstanding views.
You can see we are way above the houses below us.
When you're up steep like this, you get a lot of nice airflow,
even on calm days.
I was just down at our place on Ality Drive down there near the shoreline
at our condo, and there wasn't much airflow there.
But here there's tons.
It just it accelerates as it comes up this hill.
So it's really nice to be up here.
You can see you got some neighbors on down the way who also have good views.
But I think this is going to be one of the best.
We'll come back out here in a second.
I'm going to go to the front door and we're going to check out this great room.
The primary suite, which is outstanding, the garage and then outside,
and then we'll check out the guest wing of the home real quick.
So we got one door open here, but you can easily, of course, open both.
And man, really high ceilings.
I guesstimate that we're about 18 feet up.
There is really prominent being beams, tongue and groove.
Look like we're close to a level five, probably level four sheetrock on there.
Really light, light texture.
I like that gives a nice modern look.
We've got 12 by 24 tiles.
These are the same tiles that we have outside as well.
So it really has a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors
with a dark grout in between.
So it looks really well done.
Yeah, I'm seeing, you know, we're not seeing as much tile right now.
And this is these porcelain tiles.
You know, it's more expensive than doing luxury vinyl.
We're seeing a lot of it.
And I love luxury vinyl.
But it's nice to see something a little bit different as well.
We got a kitchen over here on the right, and we got a splash of color
right along this wall here at our island.
And then we have that same
tile along our backsplash over here in the kitchen.
We got our gas stove that is a KitchenAid with a vent.
And then our countertops are Taj Mahal.
Popular countertop.
This is going to last a long time.
People love this because you have a lot of versatility.
It works well with browns and tan colors.
It works also very well with grays and things on that color tone.
So you're seeing a lot of this.
And it blends in really well with these European style full overlay box cabinets.
Looks like 42 or 46, maybe even 46 inch upper cabinets on there.
They are soft close.
They're custom done at the corners with nails in there.
These look like custom cabinets to me.
And a couple of things they've done who always look for this.
Are they bookmatched?
Does that mean that this grain continues from one piece to the next?
So really nice job on that.
When you look closely, you really notice that when they're not bookmatched
and you're looking for it, it sticks out.
But when they are, it just blends seamlessly and really good job on that.
So we got a lot of cabinet space up top, a lot down below.
We've got our island over here
with our large sink, elevated bar top,
bright blue pendant lights coming down, adding a splash of color.
Really nice job on that.
Big entryway over here when we came in at our front door.
And then, of course, a nice, large living room, plenty of space for a table.
Got a table and four chairs set up here could easily hold, you know, six or eight
people if you have a larger table.
It's a big enough room for it.
Built in shelving over here by our TV looks wonderful.
Perfect for pictures on top and displaying some nice items all on the shelf.
But the big thing
to me, the star of the show is this extra large pocket slider
lined in a wood that matches very, very well
with the wood that we have over there in the kitchen
and then the same tile all the way out.
So it just really brings the outside and inside into one seamless area.
Extra large covered
lanai with these massive columns, one, two, three on either corner.
This thing's not going anywhere with 18 inch square basalt.
Let's spin around there.
There we go. A little more like the salt
tile going all the way around, wrapping that really nice job.
Super, super solid.
You can just see the size of that header rail there under there.
That is really big.
This home is built strong.
You know, a lot of times you can see people doing little things
like, you know, making these columns really small or having fewer of them.
This thing is super solid all the way down over here.
We have a little inlay of a different kind of tile coming in here
to our primary suite.
Oh, one thing I noticed, I'm not sure why they did this.
I think I know, but I like that we got a little plug right there.
So for me, I was thinking, well, that's perfect for like Christmas
lights or something like that.
I'm not sure if they did it for Christmas lights or if they had something else
in mind, but it's really cool if they have it there.
That's thinking ahead on that.
Recess lights in here looks great.
Obviously, we talked about the view really, really well done.
We've got our gravel out here.
Again, zero low maintenance, zero maintenance on that.
So if that's something that you're looking for, the way it's set up
right now is really good.
I'm going to come back here into the living room.
Oh, yeah. Let's check out.
I almost forgot this.
This pantry is huge.
Look at this thing.
Look at all this room.
So I'm standing here.
I think we're about six by 11.
Maybe even six by 12.
It is a very large pantry, a lot of room in there.
And then we're going to come down to this area.
We're going to turn left.
We got a little storage closet.
This is right.
We're going to turn right.
Storage closet there on our right.
And then coming here through this door into the garage.
All right.
You guys who always want me to do the garage.
Here you go.
Huge garage.
We got our battery over there for our solar photovoltaic.
One, two, three garage doors.
That is a long bed, super duty truck.
Plenty of room on either end.
So it's deep.
It's wide.
And not only do you have your three car garage, but then all that extra space.
I mean, really, it could it could hold four cars in here.
But this is your workshop area.
Really good.
I can see some people may be putting a deep freeze over here
and keeping stuff stored there for whatever or an extra refrigerator.
Inside our closet have an extra large solar hot water heater tank.
So really, really awesome size on this.
I got to tell you.
I'm I'm really seeing the benefit of having some large garage space these days living in the condo.
We love it.
But that's the one thing we miss out on and having having two cars is a minimum.
But what I find is a lot of people need this storage.
So a three car garage is really desirable.
A three car garage with workshop area is super desirable.
So I really like what they did there.
Okay, we're going to walk here into our primary suite.
We switch to a different tile.
It's kind of a it's a tan color for sure.
It's got a lot of looks like stone.
They did a nice job on that.
And then we have the same tile that we have in the rest of the house going around the border here.
So they added just sort of a two-tone look in here.
We got a king-size bed plenty of room big furniture still feels nice and large recess lights ceiling fans.
Oh, and you see it over here.
They use that tile as our baseboard really nice job on that.
Another closet over here.
And I think I got yeah, good-sized closet in here plenty of room for your clothes closet across from me more space.
But this is where it really shines extra large bathroom that out.
So a huge sink on both sides of the room.
So you don't have to share that much space.
You got lots of countertop space again.
We got the Taj Mahal in here the same cabinet looks like yeah, the same cabinets that we had over there in the kitchen.
So good six feet or so on either side storage on the left and right of our jetted tub centered with our window.
We got our blinds for privacy there.
And then we have our tile mosaic that we had over in the kitchen brought in there for a splash of color as well.
It looks like I guess it was a 4 inch by 8 inch.
Maybe 3 inch by 6 inch 4 inch by 8 inch tiles on the floor and as a Wayne's coating level.
I know Wayne's coating is something different but that height with a nice crown across the top in here privacy door over here for our water closet more storage on this side.
And a zero entry level walk straight into your shower with a bench on either side showerhead.
And then that band of tile mosaic is a splash of color going around there really really well done there.
I am today guys casual in a pair of shorts and a shirt blue with Plumeria.
I can't remember what brand this is.
It's not one of our typical Aloha wear brands.
Oh, I forgot we have a pocket slider here.
In the primary as well.
So that's kind of nice.
I think moves really well.
And then the other thing was really coming out here was to show you how they lined the edge of the foundation over here with the tile as well.
They did that all the way around so you don't just see raw concrete another little attention to detail that I think they did a really nice job on boy that slider moves so smoothly.
Okay, good start here.
Let's go check out the guest wing of the house next.
Okay, so back here in the living room.
We're going to go down to the guest wing of the house.
We're going to do this in a circle and you can do this because it has a really unique layout that I kind of like but first over to the left.
We have our washer and dryer and we have our same cabinets that we've seen throughout the home.
So I always like it when they don't go extra cheap on the cabinets and the utility you do see that sometimes maybe not so much at this price point.
It's expected that you're going to continue to do it.
Well, but sometimes people don't I like it when they do.
Kept our Taj Mahal countertops in here as well.
Plenty of working space and a large sink.
If you have to hand wash something over there in the corner and then there's a Jack and Jill bathroom through there.
We'll get to that in a minute.
First.
I'm going to come down this hallway.
We have a storage closet over here on our left and then on the right we have I'm going to call this bedroom number three.
They got a king-size bed in here.
It just fits does well.
So this room can hold a king if you need it to and we have a traditional slider, but high-end on this.
Let me unlock it.
I know how maybe I won't be able to figure it out.
There we go.
And then that goes down or up.
I'm not doing it.
Right, but whatever anyways, it's a slider there and it's aluminum so you can get aluminum or you can get vinyl on these aluminum is just more solid.
They glide better.
I mean, you just feel it kind of rolling.
They just feel much more substantial nothing wrong with the vinyl as well.
You see a lot of that but some people definitely prefer the aluminum just got to do a little bit of cleaning on those every once in a while.
Aluminum will still oxidize with our salty air.
So long as you take minimal care of them, you'll be fine bedroom number two.
I'm calling this bedroom number two because not only to have a really good view out here with the corner, but bedroom number two also has extra storage here.
So we come down this hallway.
You got a nice good-sized closet all the way down this wall.
Basically on the right side you have a door for a Jack and Jill to the hallway on the other side.
So you have your own sink right here Taj Mahal same cabinets nice size mirror really good space on that.
We spin around and you have a door here for your toilet and you have a door here coming into our shower room good size on this again zero entry.
I love it.
You can just walk right straight in here good size on our shower tile all the way up to the ceiling and then a door coming into the other bathroom with its own toilet as well.
So you share a shower room here each both the bedroom over there that we have behind us and then this for the rest of the house has its own toilet and sink.
So really flexible space and then you see we're back in a loop and back over here in the main living room.
So really cool layout on the guest wing side.
Let's go back outside.
We're going to go over my three favorite things.
But look at the size of these columns how big these header rails are things like that.
There's really you know, it costs a lot to build out here and when people make choices for building a home and it's under construction a lot of times, you know cost factors in there.
And you can see it when you look at a lot of homes when people do some things that maybe you know, it was to save some money.
I like it when I see people building things really really solid.
So the construction quality on here and how solid it is is number one that starts with like things like the columns going with stucco going with the three car plus on the garage with the space.
So really really good job on that.
Everything number two is going to be this view when you're at 10 out of 10 five stars that's got to make it onto the list and it's the sweeping unobstructable shoreline view that really sets it apart.
You know, we have lots of homes with lots of great views, but when you have the shoreline and that can't go away can't be blocked by anyone.
That's when you're doing really really well for everything.
Number three is that you're in this little community here with minimal HOA hassle in an area that has maybe some different types of HOAs this whole side of town.
Maybe some of the HOAs can be a little bit stronger.
We'll just leave it at that this one you have a little pocket community of like eight homes.
It makes life a lot easier the one thing I would change your ad for me personally.
This isn't everyone I would probably grass this in or put a small splash pool over here.
And I know a lot of people are probably going to talk about the pool so I can see adding the pool just because with this kind of view,
I mean you kind of want it but not everyone wants a pool.
So I would then if you don't want the pool or you know, the hundred and fifty thousand plus is going to take the build a pool here.
You could just grass it in have a nice place for the pups.
Maybe put a little pad over here with a gazebo to take in the sunset view and you are set.
I hope you like this video. I got more for in the corner and I'll see you again real soon.
