meal for $11 and find a [music] smoked
meat sandwich that changes your life?
>> YES. [screaming] YES. YES. YES.
>> ALSO, is it possible that fries covered
in [music] gravy and cheese actually
tastes really good?
>> Boy.
>> And is there any chance [music] that
Montreal bagels are in fact really
better than your bagels?
>> That's a 10.
>> Yes, it is. Welcome to the foodie city
Montreal, [music] which surprised me in
the best way possible. I totally get the
hype. Honestly, I just [music] wanted to
lick the the plate. Wow. Wow. Wow.
>> Mission 2025. Congrats.
>> Let me take you through the Montreal
food spots that blew me away. Some
places that are viral don't always live
up to the hype, but this one is
definitely one of those spots that you
have to go to.
One of the things that you have to try
while in Montreal are Montreal bagels.
And I found, in fact, the best spot for
it. It is called Solamos. I'm going to
show you in a second. It is one of my
favorite spots. So, I'm so excited to
try. Oh, yes. This is it. There you go.
There it is.
>> Wow. You can see the smoked salmon in
the back. Looking so, so good. And they
also have a lot of specialties here if
you want to come and shop for some gummy
stuff.
Oh my god, they're warm. Oh, this is
like Christmas for me. One, two, three,
reveal. [laughter] Look at that salmon.
how like fatty and and everything is
just so beautiful. The bacon smells so
good. It's crunchy on the outside,
soften the on the inside.
Like my mouth is getting all watery just
talking about it. Okay, I definitely
love my classic. So, I just ordered
cream cheese, cucumber, red onion,
capers, and salmon.
Oh my god. Wow. Wow. Wow. I really miss
this. We're both enjoying this. Mhm.
Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. So you guys smoke
everything in
>> everything smoked in our other facil.
>> Yeah.
>> Homemade.
>> Okay. This is all homemade. Not
everything.
>> Cheeses are local based.
>> Okay.
>> So we got them up here. The Greeks fresh
we make in the house.
>> Nice. Come by next time. Very friendly
people here. Very good bagels. Thank you
so much. Bye-bye.
>> [music]
>> We have made it to Market Jean Talon and
uh we're going to stroll around, see
what we can find here. I already spotted
a few things that I've never seen in my
life before. There was some fruits here.
Apples. Okay, I know apples, but what is
this? Like, I have never seen this. I
thought it's cherries, but it's a pint.
I don't know what you make with this,
how it tastes. Smells like an apple, so
I have no idea. But uh anyways, we are
meeting some friends here and they are
going to guide us through the market,
show us what's yummy, what's not and uh
yeahine.
>> Already loving the vibe here.
It's a hybrid, but I'm going to try
this.
Thank you.
>> Oh my god, it's so good. It's so crisp,
sweet, and sour. I want some.
>> M. We approve.
>> Yeah.
>> So cool. So you have a huge variety of
apples here, but that specific type is a
So if you come here, come to the store,
try the apples. I don't love apples, but
I like a specific type of apples.
>> [laughter]
>> This is a big sign over there. There you
go.
Definitely come here. But yeah, these
apples are really incredible. Go for
this stuff. Okay, apparently these peas
are also very nice. Smell test. Sorry,
it's it's something that I uh you know
started doing from my childhood. M look
at this tomatoes. Oh my goodness. So
nice. I have some nice mushrooms here as
well. There also some fresh egg,
different kinds. So my friends from here
said this used to be a market where a
lot of the immigrants would come and
shop here because it was so cheap. Then
it became such a hip spot that they
increased prices and like the the crowd
changed. So now it's like a you know
very hip uh market. The produce is
really good. At least the apples that I
tried. Can't really complain.
Okay, time for Nellie's travel hack.
This time I am going to share something
with you that you will benefit from for
free. So as you know I've been working
with CL for quite some time and they are
my channel partner and they came to me
and said Nelly we have something for
your followers. You can now get a 3 GBTE
clock eim if you use my code Nelly's
life clock. Sounds pretty good right?
And for someone who has traveled to
eight countries within the last two
months, one of my least favorite things
in the world is to stress out about eims
and like the whole procedure. Arriving
in a new country, I just want to arrive,
connect to the internet, not have to
line up for the SIM stand. Also, I don't
want to overpay. So, Cl has me covered
with this. It all happens inside the
Cluke app. You can choose your
destination, buy your eim, and even top
it up later if you need more data. No QR
codes, no complicated setup. Basically,
all you need is your phone and it's
super easy to set it up. Plug Eastim
works in over 100 countries including
Japan, South Korea, and so many more. It
has a pretty good pricing and it's
already trusted by over 2.4 million
travelers. So, you know, it's reliable.
So, for me, the most important thing
when I arrive is to be able to navigate
through an Uber, find my hotel, find
some food spots, and staying connected
with an Eim makes my life so much
easier. And also if you are traveling,
you just want to make sure you are safe.
You can connect with your family, with
your loved ones, or maybe just post the
Instagram bangers. So if you are
planning your next trip, definitely make
sure to take advantage of the free offer
that Cl has. Use my code Nelly's
LifeClook for your 3 GB free eim. And
you can get it directly through the
Clook app or with the link in the
description box down below. That was it
with my little gift to you and travel
hack. So definitely check it out. And
now back to the vlog.
Okay, we found a cheese spot. Yay. What
is going on here? Look at this. This
looks so good. [laughter]
Okay, seriously, this looks like some
nice stinky cheeses. Oh my god. I'm in
cheese heaven. Apparently, we can do a
um testing here. So, I'm going to try
some cheese.
>> Oo, nice. Uh, so what do we have here?
>> We have to flour, the shima, and you
have the classical
from France.
>> Can I try all of them? [laughter]
>> There you go.
>> Oh, it's nice. All right. This one is
the chef.
>> Oh, they're all so good. Thank you so
much.
Oh yeah. [laughter]
>> Okay. You basically have everything. You
have the salamis here, the cheese right
here, the wines, you have the baguette.
It's it's my store. What should I say?
Different olive oils, sardines, pates,
jams. It's like everything that you need
basically.
>> Wow. Yum.
>> Yeah, this is our kind of store.
>> Yum. Okay, that cheese was something
else. really reminded me of Paris where
we had cheese every day. So definitely a
lifestyle that I can uh [laughter]
adapt. Right now we are headed to
thisari bonerie to get some baguette.
Let's see if they have something good.
[music]
So one thing that I heard that I have to
try when I'm in Montreal is a poutine.
And I I was like it's very heavy. It
looks very heavy. It has a lot of gravy.
It has fries. And it's just like a lot
of cheese on top. So, I really don't
know what to expect, what to go for in
terms of flavors. So, luckily, I have uh
my boyfriend with me who grew up in
Canada and he knows what a great poutine
has to be. What would you say? What are
the What does the quality manager say?
>> Well, what does it have to
>> It's all about the French fries, the
sauce, and green, you know?
>> Yeah.
>> I mean, the the sauce, and the cheese.
>> Yeah. So, just high quality ingredients.
>> High quality ingredients. Homemade.
Yeah.
>> So, yeah. Uh we're going to a place that
is called
>> the Monkeys.
>> All right. Let's go.
>> [music]
>> It's really good.
Like the gravy is really good.
[music]
Okay. I had no idea why everybody was so
crazy about poutine. And I didn't have a
like proper one. This one was legit. The
fries were really good. The gravy was
delicious. The the cheese was just so
comforting. And honestly, I just wanted
to lick the the plates. It was super
cheap, too. It was just like $7 US and
it is open 24 hours. So, definitely a
spot to try when you're in Montreal. I
totally get the hype. It is viral
approved. So, if you want to come, come
here. It's really insane.
You know, when a lot of people tell you
you have to go there, it is an
institution. It has been there forever.
You definitely have to go. I am at
Schwarz delicatessan. I'm going to try
the smoked meat sandwich. I've already
been here a year and a half ago and it
has been absolutely amazing. This is the
lineup for the smoked meat. I'm just
going to take you along, have a few
bites with you, and I'll see what the
bus is about. [music]
It smells so good.
[music]
Okay, we got eight spots here by the bar
where everything is happening. Best spot
in the house. It is super super busy.
There are lots of people and a [snorts]
lot of pictures frames on the wall of
like famous people that came here. Food
is amazing. I heard
>> your favorite.
>> Yeah. So, we are going to order What are
we going to order?
>> Smoked meat.
>> Smoked meat.
>> Yeah. It looks so good. I'm so hungry.
I'm starving. I'm literally
Let's eat. So, you're supposed to drink
this with your smoked meat sandwich. So,
we're going to have that. I think it's
already here. Super fast [laughter]
service. Okay. We just sat down and it
literally took 2 minutes to get our
sandwich. It is massive. I can't even
hold it. It's just so much meat. It's
huge. I asked my boyfriend if we're
going to share and he's like, "No,
[laughter] you crazy.
>> Can't share. It's It's really good." So,
as good as you remember?
>> Really good.
>> Yeah. Okay. So, this is a closeup of the
sandwiches just so you see it. It is
massive. There's a lot of meat in there.
You have a lot of fat. You have mustard.
And then it's just a simple bread.
Pickles go really well with it. Fries.
Can't go wrong with that. It's falling
apart. I don't know how to bite into
this.
M.
Such nice smoky flavor.
Salty. You can taste I think it's like a
brine. No. Yeah. There's a lot of fat.
It gives the sandwich a lot of flavor.
I'm going to add a little bit of mustard
on here. There you go. It's so hard to
bite into. It's just so big.
>> That's what she said. [laughter]
>> M. The mustard gives it like the
the last touch here. Just so much flavor
on the sandwich. Last time when we were
here, it was a little bit on the dry
side, so it wasn't as good. But like
this time, they specifically say, "Give
us a piece with a lot of fat. You want
the flavor.
>> We're not counting calories here. So,
definitely adding mustard on top, having
fries, pickles, like cherry, soda. It's
a whole experience.
>> All right. Just got a reminder.
>> This is welld deserved.
>> Yes. Misha 2025. Congrats.
>> Thank you. [laughter]
>> Thank you for keeping the tradition
alive.
>> Thank you.
>> Can I see the meat?
>> Oh my goodness. Wo. Yes.
>> [music]
>> Okay, bellies are full. We're very
happy. That was absolutely delicious.
Some places that are viral don't always
live up to the hype, but this one is
definitely one of those spots that you
have to go to. It has been around for
like over 100 years, almost 100 years.
>> 1928.
>> 19228. So yeah, they go by the same
recipe. They have very simple menu. You
can also order other stuff on there, but
everybody goes there for the sandwich.
So, I can highly recommend to try it.
Also, not bad for the price. It's $1,555
Canadian. That's like 11 US. Like, where
do you get a sandwich like that in the
US for that price? It's impossible. Good
choice.
