I Wanted MORE From This LIMITED EDITION Launch Monitor

this is the Mio plus limited edition the latest offering from flight scope and in today's video I'm going to tell you what it is what it isn't who it's for who it's not for But ultimately is it worth your money so coming in at $34.99 what's different what's special what's new about this well not a whole heck of a lot the original Mio is $21.99 then for a $1,000 you could add the pro package then for $500 you could add the face impact tracking well well you get both of those add-ons loaded into this limited edition model aesthetically not much has changed Beyond a new face plate last year Mio plus was upgraded a little bit with better battery life and a better kickstand both of those features are in this unit but the unit now has just a new face plate it looks a little more Sleek a little more professional a little less toyes just has a really slick logo and it says Fusion tracking on it what's Fusion tracking well that's flight Scopes patented kind of mix of Doppler radar tracking with Optical tracking some launch monitors are Optical with a camera some launch monitors are Doppler with a radar flight scope well they've mixed both of those together not a whole heck of a lot is different in this it's just basically all the best things that Mio plus has to offer loaded into one preloaded with some better golf courses so if you're looking for the best kind of Val value launch monitor you probably would be coming across the moo plus so now you may be come across the limited edition well it's all the amazing things of the MEO plus just like I said with better golf courses so if you are someone that will be playing a lot of simulator indoor golf and you want access to St Andrews Pebble Beach the belfree among nine other special golf courses well this is definitely going to peque your interest and and get you very excited so instead of talking about these new golf courses let's just go play some golf on these new golf courses so this is it the iconic 7eventh hole at Pebble Beach to have access to this is pretty special cuz this package this license is 300 bucks just to get this golf course to stand here and look at this uh it's pretty cool wind is just swirling 112 yards down the hill gusting between 2 and 13 mph let's chip a little pitching wedge and see how we do are you kidding me all right flag it that's pretty good so this is this is a special one for me B Springs is also unlocked in this package this is a course in ban Alberta just outside of Calgary absolutely stunning golf course in the Rocky Mountains fourth hole par three The Cauldron I've played this golf course I think I I think I hit this green let's see if I can do it again go a bit go a bit go a bit go oh On The Fringe I will take that and run though yeah yeah this is cool this is cool and then I mean how how could I not showcase the first t-shot at St Andrews the widest Fairway widest Fairway in golf uh I've never played St Andrews but there's those there's that burn let's see if I can just smooth a five iron and hit this Fairway a low bullet Safety First we're in play might as well see if we can hit the green now little wedge in Fairway hit green hit that's how you start your around at St Andrews why I think this is a great launch monitor well I mean the accuracy is is pretty much unmatched at this price point the amount of data metrics you can get is is so good if you're really wanting to dive deep into your practice or you're a coach or or maybe you want to do a bit of Club fitting you can get some incredible readings incredible data in the meibo plus you know comparable to the $25,000 units that are out there you get a lot of that very very good quality data in this unit it's also great because it integrates very well with other apps like you've seen with the E6 but you can go with GS Pro you can go with a lot of simulator software flight scope has its other apps the fs skills for some combines and some work and those those apps I love I love them for great practice but they're not the most like elevated luxurious apps but they're definitely a nice benefit of being in the flight scope ecosystem and above all of that there's no subscription fees so many units almost every unit is charging you a subscription fee to get access to better data or better golf courses this they're not going to charge you a subscription fee and if you've been a flight scope customer like if you got the Mio Plus in 2020 the upgrades came and they were a one-time fee to to open up even more data or to open up the face impact tracking there hasn't been subscriptions where you're paying monthly or annually to open up these things they're working on additions on benefits on improvements and then when they roll them out they're quality and it's a onetime fee so no subscription it's just it's just kind of the icing on top to an already incredible incredible unit some of the things that aren't so great and this is just been a gripe of mine since 2020 is the setup's clunky the setup's a bit slow it's not the most userfriendly yes it can be annoying to have the 8 ft behind and 8 ft in front so if you're trying to use this at home you've got to make sure you have that space behind the golf ball and in front of the golf ball and even in my garage here like I'm I'm stretching it I don't have an extra foot to spare this thing is buted up right against the garage so that I can get the best reading so you need space yes if you're outside to dial in and practice out there the space is not an issue but you're not playing simulator golf outside so if you're using this for an indoor setup you need space and that's one of the just kind of it is what it is but it's one of the things that does stink a little bit about anything that has a Doppler type tracking on it I mean if we're investing three over $3,000 in something we want to know kind of The Good the Bad and the Ugly and these are a couple of the things that just aren't ideal about it I mean who's it for well if you've not made the plunge into at home launch monitors or at home simulator golf it's hard to top this one for $34.99 all that you're getting in there it's it's incredible if you're someone that's already has AO plus but you haven't upgraded you haven't added those additional packages this isn't for you you would should just add those packages if you want to like unlock your Mio plus get the pro package add the face impact tracking you don't need to throw the baby out with the bath water and get the whole new unit simply because because it's got a better looking face plate and some more bells and whistles to your unit you're paying twice as much to just get the same thing or if you're someone that really values an incredible atome simulator golf experience getting this access to these E6 golf courses without a subscription that's it's a pretty it's a pretty good offer so if you've already got something it's not necessarily for you if you've yet to make the plunge into it and you've come across this video can't recommend this unit enough because the accuracy is incredible the ease of use is is pretty good but the the lack of subscription fees the access to incredible simulator golf I mean that's a that's a that's a great offer but then if you're someone that's come across this video and you're looking to make the plunges into a better simulator well you can get the MEO Plus at 21.99 but there's discount codes out there the pro package at a th000 but there's discount codes out there the face impa at 500 but there's discount codes out there so if you were just to package all of those together it's still going to be a couple hundred bucks less than this so if those extra golf courses are worth1 to $200 well then this is for you but if you're not super concerned about having access to St Andrews the belfrey Pebble Beach what have you then the limited edition isn't necessarily for you I think you should invest in the Mio plus with those discount codes and and get the best value you can for the best data and unit you possibly can so I mean that's that's my two cents I think it's an incredible thing limited edition I think is just it's a bit of a stretch but I get it I don't know what else it could have been called because it couldn't have been called the Mio plus 2 because it's not really changed but I like the new look I like that it's all bundled into one yeah the access to those golf courses is very cool that can make for a lot of fun if you're someone who plays simulator golf but if you're someone who's just looking to get incredible practice dialing in efficient combines well the original Amo plus I still think is for you hope you enjoyed this video and we'll see you in the next one
