Being a lifelong sports fan like I am, one of my favorite things growing up and even to this day
about the end of the year, I mean there's not much sports going on, but there was always your top 10
lists. Top 10 shots of the year. Top 10 moments of the year. Top 10 plays of the year. Top 10
worst plays of the year. It was one of my favorite things to do around the holidays,
especially back home on Christmas Eve. TSN would always air their top 10s, so I figured
why the heck not air a little top 10 shots of the year from this channel in 2020.
Welcome back to the channel. My name is Andrew. It's great to see you and it's great to have got
through 2020. We did it. Give yourself a pat on the back, round of applause. We did it. It was not
an awesome year for a lot of people, but thankfully with lockdowns and with everything, it was a year
to make a lot of YouTube videos and play a lot of matches on YouTube. That's exactly what we did.
There was a lot of great shots. Before we dive into them, I just want to say if you've been
following along this entire year, I'm so thankful. I'm so grateful. It's been an awesome journey.
It's been an awesome 2020 in spite of everything bad going on. If you've been watching a lot of
videos and there's a little red button there, it means you're not subscribed. To me in the world,
it actually would make a huge difference if you hit that subscribe button before we dive into this
list. Coming in at number 10, it's a shot in a scramble game that George, Brian and I both hit.
We were trying to shoot eight or nine under par because we shot seven under the first time we did
it. On the eighth hole, we were faced with a little pitch to try to make an eagle.
Georgie, Georgie. Oh, I thought it was going to break right. We both nearly made it. George hit
it like this and then I went up behind him and it looked like from where we were standing, that thing
was going to go in, but it just broke the other way. We both had it to this little tap in birdie.
Pretty great chipping exhibition there. We did shoot, I believe it under, but don't quote me on
that. You might want to watch the video to find out. I can't remember. All these videos that I
reference will be linked in the description, all 10 of them or 12 of them. Let's dive into shot
number nine. This video was back in the summertime. Myself, Devin Suri and Julian Suri, European tour
players. We went up to my old stomping ground in Northampton and we played a game of horse.
On that fourth hole, I made a nice little 25 footer for birdie and then Julian followed it in
with another like 20 footer for birdie and we kind of stock it to Devin on that hole,
giving him two letters. We actually knocked him out I think by the seventh or eighth hole.
The rest of the match was pretty intense down to the 17th, so that video, give it a watch.
There's some really, really good golf there. Shot number eight. This one was when I was up
in Ottawa at my home course where I grew up highlands at the short game area. I did,
or I threw my hat in the ring at the hole in one challenge. It's not a hole in one. I said
at the start of the video, it's a hole out, but people want to call it a hole in one. It was not
a hole at hole in one. It was a hole out. I gave myself a hundred shots from a hundred yards and
on ball 34, I believe this happened. Oh my gosh. I did it in like 30 some shots. That was pretty
freaking awesome to do it inside a hundred shots and do it so soon because I probably would have
gotten pretty sloppy and lazy as those shots progressed. So that was a pretty special moment.
Shot number seven. So in the fall, teamed up with Manscaped and we did a video where we were
giving away $500 to some lucky golfers. They had no idea that they were going to potentially win
$500, but we had 500 bucks in my pocket, ready to give to someone. And the scenario was first group
to let me play through, they battled it out. And the winner, the low person in that group
was winning 250. They didn't know it was 250, but they were winning 250. And then they had to battle
me on the very next hole. And if they could time me or better, they were doubling their money. And
if they didn't, if I beat them out, right, I was giving the other half to the other three in the
group. Again, they had no idea what the amount was. I just told them I was going to double it.
And this is what was going to happen. And I had a wedge and I hit it to like three feet forcing
the birdie. And I had a shot all freaking day and hit driver wedge three feet made birdie.
So giving 250 to their threesome. And then the other guy in the group got 250. Pretty, pretty
special day. Shot number six, Finley was on the sixth hole at South Hampton. When I did a worst
ball, best ball scramble, I played the back nine worst ball scramble. And I played the front nine
best ball scramble a sixth hole. And I had, I was faced with this for Eagle.
Pretty good. Cause I hit the first one like here, and then I followed it up with a chip in Eagle.
And that was actually the only time I've Eagle the sixth hole in the entirety of 2020 in any video.
So pretty cool moment of followed up a good shot with an even better shot. Shot number five. This
was from a video I did with Connor and Logan, the knuckleheads as Dan and I always call them.
We did a three man scramble where we were trying to shoot nine under. And if we didn't shoot nine
under, there was going to be some consequences to be paid after nine. So you can watch the video and
see exactly what happens. But on the third hole, Connor came. Oh, so close to a hole in one.
Yeah, that's, that is right at it. Dude, that could be really close to end this like,
have you had a hole in one? That's going to be really close on camera.
When you drive up here, you look and it's either a little bit long.
Oh, oh, dude, look where it landed. Look at that ball mark. So it came in. Dude, how?
Don't even know how that shot didn't go in. It landed right in front of the cup. Pretty awesome
shot later on in the in the video in the nine. He had done like the next part three, he hit it to
like this. He was on song on those parts. It was, it was pretty fun to watch. So shot number four
comes back in January when I teamed up with golficity and Zach Radford for a little three
video challenge, six, six, six rotating teams. And the first video was Mike and I from golficity
against Frank and Zach. And we were, we were up against it. We came off to a hot start,
but then we were one down with two to play. We won the fifth hole. So going up to the sixth hole,
the last hole, our three, we missed the green. They missed the green. And Mike did this.
I love it. I love it. Oh my gosh.
I'm sorry. The camera work was terrible. It was pretty exciting. And, uh, but he chipped it in
forcing them to have to chip theirs in. They did not. So we won the match.
And, uh, unfortunately it was the only match that I won, uh, in that, in that three, uh, three match
series, but pretty awesome moment to meet those guys and have Mike pull something off like that.
Shot number three came from volume six of 59. Watch a soft green. Apparently hold it.
A two, an Eagle two on the 10th hole. I thought that was going to propel me to finally
shoot 59. Unfortunately it did not, but it was a pretty remarkable shot. The reaction was a lot
of fun. And whenever you capture these types of moments on video, it's so freaking cool.
I'm just waiting until I finally get a hole in one, which would be my first hole in one
on video so that I can just go bananas and have it live forever on YouTube shot. Number two was,
again, it was way back in January. It was before we went to Orlando, but Zach stopped here in
Jacksonville, stay with Kelly. And I, we filmed a bunch of videos and one video we did was Zach
and I playing it and Kelly putted for us six hole match that actually went extra hole. So the
seventh hole, we flipped it around. Kelly hit the tee shots in the par three, and then we had to
finish the whole out. And this is what happened. Oh my gosh. That was epic. Oh, Holy moly. That
was epic. Are you serious? That was amazing. Freaking walk off. Zach walk off win. But that
shot, it's pretty hard to top that. And that was one of the first videos of the year. But one of
the last videos of the year is where we find the number one shot of the year. That was it. That
was the putt for 59. That 59 video, that 59 watch volume 10. I felt really good. I've been practicing
in my garage. I've been feeling really good with my wedges and my irons and my putter. T-ball has
been a little squirrely, but thankfully playing the tees up, there's just a lot of place to miss
it. And those last four holes, I was just, I was in auto make whatever God mode on Tiger Woods,
every putt I looked at, I just felt I could make. And that celebration kind of like David Duvall,
when he shot 59, it was just, it was so fun. That video series was a test of my patience,
10 videos to finally do it. But it was just so cool to see everybody kind of rally behind and,
and be so happy for me. And it wasn't about like me accomplishing a goal. I had 59 watch was
something where it was like, Hey, what's your 59 watch. And it just was awesome to see a lot of
people be inspired and push themselves and create games to try to go as low as they can. Even it's,
even if it's from up teas. So yes, without a doubt, the best shot of the year was actually
the last shot I filmed in 2020, because I haven't filmed a shot for the channel since then. So
pretty cool that the best shot of the year was the last shot I hit in 2020. There you go. Top
10 list. I hope you enjoyed it. This year has been, like I said, very, very special on the
channel. Very weird off the channel. I hope you've had a great holiday. I hope you're encouraged
and you're excited about 2021. I know I am trying to do some cool, new, exciting things for next
year. So I'm gonna take a little bit of time off and get these creative juices flowing,
work on my game. And we'll probably see you sometime in the middle of January.
