what's up guys welcome back to the channel got a really special one today a little different than anything I've ever done before but today I'm doing a product review yes a product review before we go we're gonna go back to the house I'll talk to you about live view Golf back at the house let's go alright guys were back in my bedroom now it was pretty windy today I actually had my first drone crash I crashed the drone in the trees behind the driving range we're trying to film some footage for this but it turned out the footage turned out the drone is okay and keep using it so we're all glued on that I'm not a huge video guy with my swing when I work with Dan yeah we'll take some video and I'll look at things but I grew up a little more old-fashioned before video and over the years I would kind of obsessed with my golf swing on video so I've had to kind of tread lightly with using video and apps to analyze my swing but I think I found a good balance where I can I can video it check in with some of the tweaks that Dan and I are working on and go from there and not let it cloud up or over complicate things in my mind or allow me to obsess over my golf swing and the technique too much because at the end of the day is still about playing a game you want your swing to be technically pretty sound but you still need to play the game you still need to shoot scores and when I play a little bit too much golf swing that's when I really begin to lose touch with how to play a golf so a video here and there I have an app that I use where I can import the video put some lines on it and just check things out and then go and swing in half to work on those things and that's nice that's good that's helpful but there's a lot of moving parts and there's a lot of disconnect there's a disconnect between feel and reel you set up the camera you got to make sure the camera on your phone is in the right you know it's it's it's got the right angle it's got all that stuff right so you walk up you set it up you go you make a swing go check it Oh didn't quite get it guys do it again you know and you do that a few times or once or twice so then you go you sit down you look at the swing you slow it down then you import it into your app then you go and you put some lines on it and you check things out and then you go back and start hitting golf balls with that in your memory but you don't really have anything to to check while you're doing that practice that you learn from filming your swing the thing with live view it's really cool it's basically like a mirror it's a camera mirror you set it up on your golf bag on an alignment stick I have the tripod a little bendy tripod that it clips on to just to my golf bag but if you don't want to get this add-on you just attach it to alignment stick stand it up on your golf bag and boom it's just a running camera that records your golf swing on your phone or on your iPad you can basically just watch yourself swing while you're working on your swing and standing in the play box hitting golf shots set yourself up hit record record one golf swing then you have to sit down yes you draw the lines whatever you're working on it fits the level of your head if it's your swing plane going back if it's the plane coming down if it's whether you're swaying side to side whether you're moving in too close to the ball or to a far away for the ball for me right now Dan and I are working on my position at the top and we're just drawing a line basically when the butt of the club down to the ball and extending it a little bit higher and then I'm making sure that the club shallows out when it's coming down that I'm not getting a little bit steep and a little bit in front of that which has been my issue throughout the year so I'll make that one golf swing and then I'll put that line on there and then I go back and I set my phone up just lean it down against the range basket or if you want to use it on the iPad you use it on the iPads you have a bigger screen and then I'm there and I'm rehearsing what I want to do because the camera is capturing what I'm doing and my phone is showing me exactly what I'm doing and there's that line there so I can get to the top and I can feel what it's like to actually do what I want to do and that's where the disconnect of feel versus real is connected this thing is fantastic for that it sounds like a really cool idea and then when I used it it was like wow this is a really cool idea I've noticed it helped me a ton in such a short amount of time of using it because when I make those those rehearsal golf swings feel what it's like feel what it's like boom go the contact is strike everything is feeling really great so this is an awesome awesome tool for that technical that blocked practice hit some balls with this then you turn the camera off and then you get into that variable that play practice and this is an amazing amazing tool to make your practice really really efficient and really really effective if anyone that's been watching the channel I don't don't use a lot of trained aids it's not that I don't believe in them but I'm pretty skeptical and I'm slow to accepting a trainer into my repertoire and it is one of those things that my coach really influences me with and helps me decide on which train aids are really gonna benefit me and my golf swing and this is something that Dan told me about I'm really happy to have this and I think this is gonna be something that's really gonna help my practice and my golf swing and all the things that I'm working on throughout the season and beyond I don't have enough good things to say about this pretty simple you carry it in a little case throw it in your bag it's it's really a small form it's really user friendly the app is very easy the app is very similar to any other swing technique apps when it comes to drawing and recording you can export the footage and send it to your coach or look at it on your computer or what have you many of you viewers out there have reached out to me over over the last few months about your desire to get better and how certain things that I'm doing has been helping your game and I really think this is something that a lot of you guys will benefit from it's not something that I think is just meant for for professional golfers this is meant for people who maybe don't have a coach to work with all the time or don't have the budget to get onto all kinds of high-tech gear for 180 bucks this is it's a coach right there it's kind of like when I talk about headspace headspace is an app for a year subscription of a hundred or so bucks that's cheaper than one therapy session and I use headspace everyday so the values right there if you're gonna use this everyday your practice or a few times a week the value is right there I really believe in this product an honest review is I think it's awesome and anyone that else out there that watches the channel again you know that I'm very slow to using training aids I think this is something that is kind of ahead of its time no one's really found a way to to bridge the camera and the app and make it all in one cohesive unit that can be used in real time and this is really special and I think it's going to move a lot of heads and then go industry so the sky's the limit for these guys and I'm happy
