Christmas Carol by Christians at JLR Jaguar Landrover
Good afternoon, welcome to our current event. It's Gator 2026, from Christians at JR.
Happy Christmas and welcome.
So, this is a special time of year for Christians, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
And today we're going to worship Him as King.
We thought that's when He was born, but now we're singing His Kingdom and we're going to worship Him as King.
Okay, so, we're going to sing some carols, we've got some scripture,
and we've got some samosas and mince pies to celebrate as well, which we can have later.
We've got some lithics and bibles, which are free to give out.
So, feel free to take anything you want to take away and read.
And we've got a QR code to register if you're interested in the Christian network at JR.
So, let's celebrate Christmas with carols.
We've got our brilliant musicians and singers here.
But to start the vlog, Jin Lao is just going to read out a passage from the Bible.
I've got it on the screen here. Jin Lao, over to you.
Thank you.
Yeah, today I'm reading from the Gospel of Luke, chapter 2, verse 1-20.
The birth of Jesus.
In those days, Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.
This was the first census that took place while Cutrius was governor of Syria.
And everyone went to their own town to register.
So, Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem, the town of David,
because he belonged to the house and line of David.
He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born.
And she gave birth to her firstborn, the son.
She wrapped him in clothes and placed him in the manger, because there was no dust room available for them.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over the flocks at night.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I will bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign to you. You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger.
Suddenly a great company of heavenly hosts appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
Glory to the God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another,
Let's go to the Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and the baby who was lying in the manger.
When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told about this child.
And all who heard it were amazed and brought the shepherds to them.
But Mary treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart.
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for the things they had heard and seen,
which were just as they had been told.
I now invite you to join with us in singing a selection of carols,
recounting, giving thanks and praising Jesus who served the hungry and the brave.
We'll start with Heavenly Child.
Father, help an angel sing.
Angels, be fed on thine.
Joyce, hear the good news from Jesus' birth.
The angels announced to the shepherds in the fields.
Once in royal David's city and over the town of Bethlehem,
we'll take us to that holy house of Bethlehem,
which is also the ancestral home of David,
the shepherd boy who slew Goliath and became one of Israel's greatest kings.
We'll also sing the different drummer boy and our holy knight,
reminding us of the wonder and peace of great Christmas.
And finally, we'll end with Feliz Navidad,
sharing joy and professing cheer with each other.
So let's all lift our voices and celebrate together.
Come now, hear the angels sing.
A new king born today.
A man will live forevermore.
Because of a graceful stay.
Listen now, angels sing.
Listen to what they say.
The man will live forevermore.
Because of a graceful stay.

I, I may try to get to the table of the Lord.
And he will make sure that there is room for the Lord.
But I know he never will.
So the holy heart will say.
There is no child of Jesus Christ.
Was born on Christmas day.
Come now, hear the angels sing.

Gloria, to the best.
On St. Roy David's city,
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her baby,
In a manger for His bed.
Mary was the daughter of God,
Jesus Christ, the little child.
He came down to earth from heaven,
Who is God and Lord of all.
And His shelter was a stable,
And His cradle was a stall.
When the poor and weak and lowly
Gave to God a Savior holy.
And our eyes at last shall see Him,
Through His own redeeming blood.
For that child so dear and gentle
Is our Lord in heaven above.
And He leads His children on
To the place where He is gone.
Not in that poor lowly stable,
With the oxen standing mild,
We shall see Him once in heaven,
Set at God's right hand of God.
When life's darkest children die,
All in white shall wait around.
And it's only our love above
That we'll live on deep to see,
Our love above,
Our love that's this we wait for,
Our love above,
To lay before the King,
Our love above,
So till I live,
Our love above,
And we die,
We live till day,
Our love above,
I am a poor boy,
Just waiting for our love above.
I have no gift to bring,
Just waiting in our King,
Our love above,
I wait for you,
Our love above,
When we love Him,
Our love above,
We shall see Him once in heaven,
Set at God's right hand of God.
I break my tongue for Him,
I make my best for Him,
And He's now that King,
Me and my drum,
Me and my drum.
I'm a poor boy,
Just waiting for our love above.
I have no gift to bring,
Just waiting in our King,
Our love above,
And dreamless in the silence,
And stars go out,
Yet in my thoughts we chart,
The everlasting light,
The hopes and fears of all the years
