good morning guys it's Saturday morning
May 6th here in Toronto today is the
March for mental health I'm going to be
speaking at it and then I'm going be
marching in downtown Toronto with
everybody it's going to be pretty cool
to kind of get plugged in and Toronto
Community but I'm going to take you guys
along with me okay I'm here at Nathan
philli Square as you can tell by this
dope Toronto signs pretty amazing place
there's a lot of energy even on a
Saturday this is City Hall this is where
people want to get their voices heard so
we're setting up here starting up pretty
soon going to share a few words with my
good buddy Michael ansburg it's going to
be a pretty fun

day Michael the founder of the we ation
stigma still dominates our society
people still suffer in silence so one of
the things I can do in my life is break
the silence which is what I'm doing
right now Andrew Jensen is a Canadian
PTA golfer he's a speaker and he's also
an ambassador for let's talk and
apparently he's quite cold today
yeah I'm here ultimately because I got
lucky I know we want to change how
things are in our in our country and and
the way we look at and treat mental
health and the way that our government
allows access to mental health I got
very lucky I got through the system very
easily my parents spared no expense to
put me in the therapy because they
almost lost their 27-year-old son so I'm
very lucky and that's kind of why I've
made it my mission or my drive to talk
about this and normalize this
conversation because I don't think
anything's wrong with me I really don't
like I've got other things that I think
are way more wrong with me than my
mental health and this doesn't happen
because Michael Lynn and I are here and
because nine people in green shirts
organized this this happened because you
guys are here and I hope you're hearing
us Kathleen W and Justin Trudeau if
you're out there so that they recognize
the importance of a National Suicide
Prevention strategy that is funded and
provides access to support and treatment
that reflects the needs of all Canadians
by working together sharing our
experiences we are laying the groundwork
to move from awareness to action and now
we have one more
these are the great people of Toronto
that uh help us let's get here thanks so
much guys

hey you guys have green shirts on how
did it go it went really well we're so
happy with the turnout it was an amazing
day how are your speakers they were
amazing really tell me more tell me more
oh they were Prett
good okay we'll we'll end it there
that's it done for the day that Marsh
was really cool it's pretty amazing to
see people not from any organization not
from any kind of initiative just people
caring about mental health and wanting
to make some noise and have our
government pay attention turnout was
awesome really well done for its first
year it was an honor to speak at it and
uh meet some great people and share some
stories and hear some stories but that's
it Toronto this is a pretty great
welcoming into your community if you
guys like this video you know what to do
give it a thumbs up subscribe share it
with your friends and show your friends
that here in Canada we care about mental
health and we want to make some change
so if there's someone in your network
that wants to engage in this
conversation send them this video see
you guys next week
