good morning we are on our way on day
one of our overland adventure we are on
our way up through south carolina up to
pisgah national forest
we're going to be doing some hiking
checking out some waterfalls and we're
going to be doing some primitive camping
there so
stay tuned
[Music]
about to do
pisco national forest looking glass rock
trail
you ready to go
[Music]
all right so
sorry for the darkness it's getting late
so
we spent probably a good what two hours
babe searching for a uh
the primitive campsites that had marked
i had marked several
um
there was a lot of closures
um road closures that so we weren't able
to get and we tried alternate routes and
we're still unable to get to it so we
came up a place called
sunset sunburst there we go sunburst um
it's a primitive it's you have your
campsites but there's no bathrooms or
anything or showers
so it is a little primitive it's 15
bucks for the night
it's been raining
non-stop so we got our canopy up
we just got our fire pit going we just
cooked some
chicken over the fire and uh we're
having chicken and corn tonight so uh
weather kind of sucks so i'll probably
see you guys in the morning
good morning it is
day two
of our overland adventure
last night was pretty terrible
it uh it rained on us
pretty much like ninety percent of the
night until this morning when it finally
cleared up
um
so it was cold and wet but we were able
to stay dry in our tent at least
but setup was was a was a mission
so today we're on our way to
um a hiking trail forget the name of it
right now um
we're headed north though towards
a little north of waynesville
close to uh gatlinburg
and we're going to be doing hiking trail
and then
going to town for some supplies
and then we are staying at a campground
today
um
called indian creek
it's a really nice campground it's
very up in the mountains and your our
spot will be right literally on a creek
so i'll show you guys that later so
see in a bit
[Music]
[Music]
there's a baby
um
he's not very tall
but
what's going on guys we're about to do
a lum
alum cave natural trail um
we're not sure if we're gonna go all the
way to the top of the mountain
just because um
it is about 5.5 miles so the miles isn't
the problem but weather is supposed to
get ugly around four o'clock
later today so we'll play by ear and see
how far we get
but we'll keep you updated

[Music]
so we just made it to our site for the
night
at
indian creek campground
i got the ranger behind me we just
pulled up so this is our campground for
the night
we're right on
indian creek right there um it's a
really beautiful sight so uh
super excited
to set up and
see how it goes um
never slept this close to a creek before
so
so we're kind of hungry so uh we started
cooking some dinner
got some uh
tacos taco meat going we're gonna make
we're gonna have some tacos tonight
i got the fire going
set up the chairs
it's gonna be a great view for dinner
so we just finished dinner
got our fire our chairs
and then we got our tent
what's great about it is
got the front door facing the creek
should be a really nice night
well i'll see you guys in the morning
because we're just gonna
be sitting by the fire and enjoying the
night
and uh see you guys in the morning
for our next location
so good morning it is day three of our
adventure um
we are leaving the campgrounds and we
are headed
uh northeast on the blue ridge parkway
uh today we're gonna be
going up
in through cherokee national forest and
pisco again national forest
pretty much heading all the way up to
virginia
into jefferson forest so we will
keep you updated on our little adventure
here stay tuned

[Music]
so
[Music]
alrighty so update so we've gotten
pretty far down our uh trail
about to do another river crossing
but there was
two trucks
that were
coming back the other way
and they notified us that
um
about a half a mile more
it was pretty much uh unpassable with
like super deep mud ruts
and uh
they would say that it was getting
pretty sketchy because it's been raining
here for the last few days
so
um
so i guess it's created a lot of mud and
slick surfaces so since we're by
ourselves
and uh
don't wanna deal if i don't wanna deal
with risking
damaging the truck or getting stuck
we're gonna turn around and find an
alternate route so i'll keep you guys
updated
good morning
it is now date for of our
uh
overland adventure uh
last night
i ended up staying in a hotel
nicole wasn't feeling very well and uh
she we she we didn't want to camp in the
rain for three nights in a row so we
took a break in a hotel
so right now we are coming
uh
we're coming from bristol we ended up
saying the name bristol
and we are headed
northeast
on i-81 up to
where i'm gonna join the rest of the
route i planned to make up some time
and to obviously if you hear
it's the rain in the background try to
beat the rain
um where we'll be up in the jefferson
national forest so
weather looks a lot better up north so
hoping for the best for tonight and for
the rest of the day so
we'll see how it goes
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
so
[Music]
[Music]
so we're uh back on uh
pavement roads some blacktop um so
currently right now on the ranger
airing it up
um
we gotta go back and around because
we're kind of running short on time for
today and we wanted to uh
get to our campground today on time
and early because especially since we're
doing overland expo overland expo starts
tomorrow there'll probably be a lot of
people camping in the area so we want to
get there early
so i will
update you on the next when we hit the
next trailhead
so i just finished airing down
um we finally reached our next uh
trailhead
um we're gonna be going down there and
finding a camp
campsite to set up camp for tonight so
we'll see how that goes with
a lot of vehicles being in the area for
the expo so hopefully we can find one
but we'll see but there's a amazing
views here
[Music]
[Music]
what's going on guys we just found a
campsite in the jefferson forest um
after
some time searching we found a pretty
nice one here
[Music]
it's a pretty open spot you can
definitely fit a few rigs here
if you had some
has a nice fireplace and
is
beautiful
creekside camp spot
it's really really nice
so
definitely can't wait to
camp here tonight and uh
so we're just gonna start unpacking
everything and have everything set up
shortly
so we just finished cooking up dinner
some burgers
over the campfire
get our tent set up back there
chairs
got the fire
and then this beautiful little creek
[Music]
[Music]
so
we are now leaving the campground it is
6 50 in the morning
um that's pretty much it for our
overland part of it now we're going to
do some
exploring of lynchburg
checking out some
some sites we wanted to see and some
activities we wanted to do and then
we're going to the expo so
we'll catch
catch you in the next video
i'll probably throw in some
some videos of the our activities
but after that i'll see you guys at the
expo
so we are here at
uh natural state park natural bridge
state park
um
we're the first ones here we got here
right when they're open and there is
absolutely nobody
and
it's it's a really breathtaking wheel
which is crazy is we actually drove over
the road
to get to here but you on top you don't
even notice what's underneath you
so it's it's really cool to see the
underneath
portion of it
absolutely breathtaking
[Music]

adventure
