Welcome back to A Chilling Home, and if you're new here, of course, welcome.
This is another episode of our Christmas decorating series, so follow along as we create vintage
Christmas magic.
So, I'm going to go take a shower, put on a cozy outfit, and conquer the decorating
day.
Lights are dead!
Another strand.
So when you're picking out your lights as the base for all of your mantles and shelves,
always think, does this color go with our aesthetic?
And when I discovered brown cord Christmas lights, my life changed, because we go very
kind of primitive-y, so a bright white cord wouldn't blend so much, but if you're doing
an all-winter wonderland theme with all snow, then a white cord would be great.
But keeping with more of a muted, primitive Christmas, we like to weave these in, in here.
So up here we have our faux garlands and florals, so I'm kind of making a statement piece up
here.
And I don't want anything too bright or jarring, because our TV's right here, so when we watch
our shows at night or our Christmas movies, nothing's too in your face.
Also the tree and this strand I put on a dimmer, which is an incredible holiday hack.
You can get these dimmers from Amazon or a local hardware store, and it just works perfectly
to dim the lights at night, and it makes it super cozy and magical.
And if you want to snag a pair of these, I will attach the links in the description below
with all kinds of other fun things you'll see around here that you can get for your
house.
And the theme this year appears to be a Ralph Lauren classic Christmas, which Ralph Lauren
is a great inspiration in everything we do pretty much all year.
So we like to think that our Christmas is Ralph Lauren themed.
So are we trendy?
Perhaps.
Perhaps this year.
And next year?
Probably not.
If you feel very, very sort of extraordinary this merry Christmas day, oh, it's time to
be jolly with the mistletoe and holly.
Okay.
These are tangled.
You see, like, so many of them.
I do want to do these on the chandelier again.
I love that.
But I want to take all the crystals off this one.
This season, we've decided to break up our holiday decorating into a few episodes, if
you will.
Trying to be a little bit more intentional and not rush through the season, which I think
is really easy to do this time of year to just throw everything up.
And then you have to rush to all these events and shopping and then take it all down and
you don't really stop to enjoy.
So we are trying to just be very intentional with our decorating and share with you guys
a couple of episodes and different areas of our house and just slow down.
Yeah, because the tree has just started.
We have more things to do here.
I know you're probably thinking, what?
But yes, we have more stuff.
We love decorating.
And we love Christmas.
We love vintage Christmas.
And we've spent many years accumulating this stuff.
So stay tuned for when we decorate our bedroom and kitchen area.
And then we'll do a full house Christmas tour, right?
Yep.
And we're also going to do a porch decorating, house decorating, all that stuff.
All kinds of good stuff for you guys.
So be sure to like this video and hit subscribe if you don't already and share it to your
fellow Christmas lovers out there.
Yeah.
And also if you guys want to see anything specific or if there's any item that you'd
like to see up close, any questions you have, we love to hear from you guys and your comments
are always so sweet and they mean so much to us.
So thank you for being here and Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas.
We'll see you in a few days.
