If you're creepy, please don't let it show.
Oh baby, I don't want to.
Hi, I'm Brad.
I'm John.
All right.
Now, so two weeks ago, um, we did Improver covering the same song that we're
going to do today, which was.
Just finished refreshing our memories.
Yes.
We just watched it again because, you know, we were planning on doing it sooner,
but then Improver went and released something new, which we did last week.
So anyway, the song is Creepin' and this time Taris Stanning is doing a cover of
it, um, so originally was by The Weeknd.
The other song that we did, um, incidentally was actually a Taris cover.
Um, and I might even link that above my head.
Ooh.
Um, we did a cover of The Hills, which was by The Weeknd.
Oh.
Um, that was the song that we couldn't think of last time because we knew we'd
done something that was by The Weeknd, but I looked it up.
It was The Hills.
So anyway, Taris, 31, also from Russia, two-time Russian beatbox solo champion.
Russia's got some pretty good, uh, musicians, musicians, artists.
Beatboxers.
Well, and one singer.
Uh, yeah.
So quick backstory, which I gave last time.
Creepin' sung by American record producer, Metro Boomin, Canadian singer,
The Weeknd, and British American rapper 21 Savage.
Go figure.
Was released in January 23.
So it's only a couple of years old.
It's a remake of I Don't Want to Know, which was released in 2004 by Mario
Winans featuring Enya and P Diddy.
And that in turn is based on the sample of the Fuji song Ready or Not from 1996,
which itself samples Enya's, um, Bodicea from 1987.
All right.
So you guys got all that.
Well, what amused me is kind of like, it basically starts with Enya's Bodicea
back in 1987, and then she comes back in 2004.
Um.
So just like last time, you know, I only knew one person, maybe one
and that was P Diddy, yeah.
I had, and I don't know any of his stuff either.
I just don't quite know.
I knew Enya and I knew P Diddy.
But yeah, and the Fugees actually.
So I guess I knew three technically on that list.
Anyway.
All right.
So are we ready to check it out?
Yes.
All right.
Before we get going, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
Uh, check out the description down below.
You're going to find all our links, information, and stuff
that we have down there.
Okay.
Right.
Taurus doing the song that we just listened to.
And we're going to link somewhere in this video.
So you can go check that out as well.
We did two weeks ago as well.
My heart is taking any more.
If you're creeping.
Please don't let it show.
Oh baby.
I don't want to.
Well, there are plenty of two different styles.
Yeah, you'd honestly think they're two different songs, actually.
It's really interesting, especially since we are actually listening to it back-to-back.
It's interesting that these two guys who obviously know each other, I shouldn't mention that,
they do know each other.
They listened to the same song, which oddly enough we haven't listened to, they listened
to the same song, the same source material, and it was basically a case of, okay, we're
going to do a cover of this, or I'm going to do a cover of this, you're going to do
a cover of this, and they've managed to come up with completely different versions of the
same song.
Yeah, well his is obviously more vocal.
Yeah, Taurus is more vocal, improved reviews.
I would say so far, at least to the halfway point, I think he used more techniques in
his.
Yeah, but they're both really good, it's not a case of, oh, this one's better than this
one.
If it was a competition, it'd be a case of, okay, well, I can see why one of you is a
world champion, and one of you is a Russian champion, twice, because, yeah, world champion
has dropped to the halfway point a lot more technique in, which obviously, that's good
for competition.
Okay, second half.
I don't think about it all, do you?
When looking in your eyes, I can't believe, and I don't need to know the truth.
But baby, keep it to yourself, I don't wanna know.
If you're priming, keep it on the boom mode.
Cause my heart, take it any mode.
If you're creeping, just don't let it show.
No, no, baby, I don't wanna move.
Don't stop.
I don't wanna move.
Okay, that was actually really cool.
Yeah, it's just, every time I watch any of these guys, it's like, yeah, how?
My daughter's just, you know, lips and cheeks, and my face isn't in the thing.
Yeah, it's like, I know, part of me is like, okay, yes, you know, you ask two different
people to come up with two different covers of the same song, it's kind of like you're
gonna end up with two different versions.
Sure, that makes sense.
But it's kind of like, okay, you're asking two different people to come up with two different
or two beatbox covers of the same song, your mind automatically goes, oh, you're obviously
gonna end up with something pretty close, something pretty similar.
Cause it's kind of like, you know, if you took this to a, you know, two different country
Western artists and said, here, make this country.
Yeah.
You'd kind of like figure, you'd imagine in your head that it's like, they'd be somewhat
similar.
And then for some reason you're surprised when they're not, when it's kind of like,
it makes sense that, well, they're going to be different.
Yeah.
Cause they have different skill sets and different repertoires of techniques.
Yeah.
I guess you could say.
I would say I was impressed.
Yeah.
Like always.
Well, that was a lot of fun.
Was there another one who had it?
I think there was at least a third person, but I've got to find it.
Yeah, cause I thought you said last time.
If I find it.
I'll find another person.
If you actually know who the third person was who actually did this around the same
time, please.
Down below.
Cause we're definitely going to hit that up and get more from him.
Yes.
Anyone else you suggest.
