Race 1 for the Moton FIM Superbike World Championship got underway at Magnacourt with top-ranked Razgatlioglu getting the whole shot from pole position.
Alex Lowes had an incredible start, moving up into P2, up the inside of Bulliger at Turn 2.
An unusual place to make a move.
He was soon hot on the tail of top-ranked Razgatlioglu.
Behind, Bulliger had dropped to P4.
Sam Lowes moving into podium contention before a crash at Turn 9.
Jonathan Rea and Andrea Iannone taken out by Jari Montella, who was given a penalty for Sunday's action.
Alvaro Bautista and Xavi Vieja seemingly went down at the same corner, but in separate incidents.
Andrea Iannone was taken to the medical centre and diagnosed with multiple contusions following the crash.
Alex Lowes was all over top-ranked Razgatlioglu for P1.
Nicolo Bulliger was fighting his way back into P2, though.
First, he passed Sam Lowes at Turn 5, before getting ahead of Alex Lowes at Turn 4,
making sure he was clear of the promoter rider under the braking zone at the Adelaide hairpin.
Michael van der Mark had two falls during Race 1,
the first coming at Turn 8 and the latter coming at Turn 3.
After the second, he was taken to the medical centre and diagnosed with multiple contusions.
Andrea Locatelli had to start from the back of the grid after crashing in Tiso Superpol,
but he made light work of fighting his way through the field,
getting ahead of Remy Gardner for P6, before Gareth Galoff followed him through shortly after.
However, the Texans race came to a halt at Turn 3 when he crashed.
Top-ranked Razgatlioglu was untouchable at the front of the field,
building up a huge gap to Bulliger in P2, a consistent race pace that he showed on Friday,
once again on display on Saturday.
Sam Lowes was running in P4, but his hopes of a late podium charge came to an end
when he had a slow-speed crash at Turn 13.
He was able to rejoin the race inside the top ten.
But on the final lap, El Tarco was making his way round and acknowledging the crowd
as he celebrated a ninth victory at the Circuit d'Honnever Magny-Cours.
He's now won at the iconic circuit with three different manufacturers,
Kawasaki, Yamaha and BMW,
matching a feat only achieved by Troy Corsa at Phillip Island,
winning at one circuit with three different manufacturers.
It was also his ninth win at the circuit, tying him with Jonathan Wray for all-time wins at Magny-Cours.
Two top ranks appeared in Parc Fermé as El Tarco celebrated with a giant cut-out of his head
before lifting the trophy aloft to celebrate yet another victory.
He came home more than eight seconds clear of Bulliger in second,
gaining five points on the Italian in the title race.
Alex Lowes was third, bringing home Bermuda's first full race podium since 2000.
Giannino Petrucci was fourth, ahead of Andrea Locatelli in fifth.
Sergio Garcia scored points on his debut.
He was 11th ahead of Michael Wijnaldi, Ryan Vickers, Tito Roberts and Zach Gonzaly,
who scored his first points in World Superbike.
For me, today is incredible because I did the pole position and the new record.
And especially I'm always thinking the last year because after the big crash,
you know, I'm not racing yet last year.
Now I need to win here again with BMW
because this is my last season.
And I'm happy.
You know, we are very strong starting and also we did incredible pace.
But I need some sector and some corner need to improve my bike
because end of the race I did some mistake
because the electronic side, when rear tyre a little bit drop
and I feel a lot of locking.
But this one is not a big problem.
I need just some small changing.
Anyway, you know, I'm generally happy.
