Ryan & Callum Crowe stormed to their fourth consecutive TT victory, claiming a dominant Sidecar TT Race 2 win at the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races. From the first lap, they built a commanding cushion, eventually crossing the line over 1 minute 8 seconds ahead of Ben Birchall & Patrick Rosney, with Lee Crawford and Scott Hardie taking third place.
Watch all the action now! _______________________________________________
No time then for the three-wheeling.media sidecar TT race two. The big question on
everybody's lips is can anybody get anywhere near these two? Ryan and Callum
Crowe. They won both races last year. They had a dominant victory with a lap record
in race one this year. This was the pairing which was closest to them. Ben
Burcham and Patrick Rosney off the line and they will be swiftly followed by Lee
Crawford and Scott Hardy. That was the order of the podium in race one. As I
head off down Bray Hill for the first time. Awesome on-board shot. Look how low it is to the road.
Not a hint of a lift at the bottom of the hill cam either.
That is Kieran Clark and Andrew Johnson off the line on their Yamaha CES.
Followed swiftly by Todd Ellis and Emmanuel Clement. You're back with the
Crows out front now. Callum Crowe tucked in. Just look at those body movements. Look
at the commitment. Pushing with the feet. Bracing with the hands. Swap to the other
side. His toe is off the back Cam. You can see here hanging off the back of this
outfit. You can see just the toe of a boot underneath. The physicality, the
gymnastics of the passengers around this course is incredible. Yeah of course and
no warm-up. So they've just jumped straight on these outfits and they are
in at the deep end immediately. The amount of physical effort by that passenger.
Sideways on the exit there. That's something you don't see obviously with the
Solos. These with a flat slick tire on the rear. It's it's very un-bike bike
isn't it? Especially on the right-hand corners where that weight goes on the
sidecar wheel. The drive wheel is off the ground. Ryan and Callum Crowe coming down
towards the first of our splits. Which will be towards. They're literally never in a
straight line. Even when they're in a straight line that outfit is bouncing
left to right. Drifting, sliding. Constantly on the move. Look at the
handholds Cam. One down the bottom here in the center of your screen. Up at the
top look. Ducking in round. Literally hanging you behind off. Look how close
as well. The driver's judgment of where the passenger is overhanging the left
side is incredible. Yeah it is. It's really two working as one. Look at this
Glen Helen section. Now that feels narrow on a solo bike but look how narrow it is
with the width of a sidecar outfit. Ben Birchall, Patrick Rosny.
Second new passenger in two years isn't it? And that's Crawford and Hardy coming
through. Night Cam. 9.5 seconds at Glen Helen on lap one. The Crows have gone out
here like a bullet out of a gun. There is no lifting is there? No there isn't.
Only no one speed. They've already set an outright lap record this week. I wonder
what they can do in this one from the standing start. You're on board with John
Saunders and Vicky Cook. It's hard on the engines Cam isn't it? They're 600cc
but carrying two people and then the full throttle. It's tough on the machinery.
It's brutal on the machinery. It's also brutal on that driver and passenger. Look
at the bumps they're crossing coming through Kirk Michael. That front shot just
shows how much that outfit's kicking around. To the compression and the crest
there Cam. You know if you're hanging on as the passenger you've got to know where
each of those crests are as the machine goes like. Here we go. And the exit here.
It was the bumps here. Watch the watch the dip into the crest here. It's
fascinating here. And then off the ground with just minimal suspension travel as you
see. It's so hard isn't it for for Birchall and Rosne to get up to the
pace that Birchall and Birchall were on. You know Ben and Tom grew up together
as brothers but in the sport together. They went quicker. 1.15, 16, 17. The lap
record at 1.20. You do that together and then somebody else comes in and jumps on
with you and you're expecting them to be able to do the same thing. It's going to
take time. It is a relationship and it takes time to build one that's capable
of winning a race around the TT course. There's Blackstock and Oscar Lawrence.
Look at this. You'll get an idea. See where the feet are jammed in.
All the different and again here there's what I would refer to as skateboard grip
tape on a lot of parts of the side of the outfit. Over the kerb on the inside
for Birchall and Rosne. The passengers see the physios more than anyone else Cameron
and it's not a big surprise really. Up to the bungalow comes Ben Birchall and
Patrick Rosne. They're running second on the road remember. And there was a pretty
big gap it's fair to say to these two Ryan and Callum Crowe and it's up to 30.
30.9 about two, three, three quarters of the way around the first lap. Amazing.
These boys are just so comfortable with each other, with their outfit and that confidence just
keeps building. On to the start finish straight. 30 seconds up the road plus the
10 they started ahead. They're in a different postcode. Ryan and Callum Crowe
over the start finish line and that is the fastest ever lap we've seen from a
standing start in a sidecar. 119.950. Birchall and Rosne coming
through. A wonderful section you just see the attitude in the the chairs as they're
called. Yep, Birchall and Rosne up over the jump. Still these two are locked
together out on the roads. Clark and Johnson, Ellis and Clement
seemingly either unable or unwilling to close that gap down between the two.
Maybe they're just that closely matched. Yeah, well they're in a position in the
race where probably just as well to hold their position now on this final lap.
Riding on board. Thornton and Hardy coming down through Caramore. Super, super bumpy section as we
just see. This really is where the outfit does walk across the road. This really is a
dream pairing. A dream situation. Ryan Callum Crowe, their father Nick Crowe, TT
winner. Dave Molyneux, 17 times TT winner. Most successful sidecar driver of all
time and sidecar engineer. Helped this team develop that outfit. They're on
board now. You look underneath it, you can see just the various different lumps sticking out from the air.
Oh no, Saunders and Cook have lost drive. They've lost driving here. The engine revs
spiking up. They're gonna have to pull that over the side of the road just
before Ginger Hall. It's the end of the Solby Straight. At least it's only a short
walk to the pub for them. Yeah, good shot. That's where Peter Hickman ended up last year,
wasn't it? Up to the hairpin. Virtua and Rosny, 54 seconds down now, but good
progress in terms of their lap pace. Coming through the same section. Yeah, you don't see the
amount of aero underneath. I'm gonna have to go down and have a look at the
Crowe's machine at some point. I want a good look underneath it. Not sure I'm
gonna get it. I think that's the sort of thing that's gonna be well
hidden. I think Andrew could be in line behind a few of the other sidecar
competitors at the moment because they'll be scratching their heads at
how this young pairing are just achieving the unachievable. Yeah, 100%.
Here it is. Look again. Look underneath. You see just the little bits? I'm intrigued by it.
Out then, on to the final straight. It is a second sidecar TT win here for the
Crowe brothers. Ryan and Callum at home on the Isle of Man and it is their fourth
in a row. Double victors last year, double victors this year. They are
dominating the category. The Crowe brothers take their fourth sidecar win
in a row. Great to see the Manx flag on the top step of the podium. Ben Birchall
and Patrick Rosny, P2 after 116.5 in terms of their race pace and Lee
Crawford and Scott Hardy get third.
