All right, so we are starting fresh face here. Nothing on my skin. This is self-tanner. I am a 100% SafeSun person. I'm not ready to recommend a facial self-tanner to you just yet. I do use the drops, but I haven't found a product that I'm totally happy with that I'm ready to recommend to you. So stay tuned on that. We'll do a whole episode on self-tanner and SafeSun's care. I don't have lash extensions. I use lash strips. I don't have much eyelashes left, like many of us in the midlife years. So I will link to the product that I use. This is a lash glue for active people. So I can play golf and sweat with this lash glue and my lashes don't come off. So I just use lash strips and I cut them down. I use this lash glue and the lashes stay on until I give them a gentle yank at night. They do not come off. They do not lift even when I sweat on the golf course. So I will link to this in the product section at the end. So keep that in mind. Nothing on my skin right now. There's no filter. We're just using my regular camera. There's no filter on this. I'm using a ring light. No filter. Let me say that again. No filter. So we are going to start with my, before we start with the skincare products, you were asking, someone asked yesterday about the hair care products. So when I went to the YouTube Summer House Fashion Event in New York, we got a 40 pound swag bag full of beauty and makeup products. So exciting. So I'm getting to try all of these products, some of which I'm going to recommend to you, many of which I'm not. So one of the products I am going to recommend is this Ange Sea & Salt Texture Spray. So I've been using it instead of Root Boost on the crown of my head, and it gives me a lot of volume up top. So I'll show you really quickly. My mirror's right here. I'll show you really quickly. Just a couple sprigs. Spray at the crown. And don't forget the back. And then just sort of massage that in. And then let it set. That's it. That's all you have to do with it. And I will link to that below. Another product I really like is from Beach Waver. We got a Beach Waver in our bag and I haven't been able to use it yet, but I did like the Luxe Leave-In Conditioner. So on the second day after I've washed my hair and my hair's a little messed up, the next day I've been spraying in this Leave-In Conditioner and then brushing it through and it softens the hair and straightens it out a little bit. So I will link to that in the products as well. I've really been loving that one. So there's that. Now let's talk about skincare. My absolute favorite, hands-down favorite products from that 40-pound swag bag so far are the Ole Hendrickson products. So this one I got in the swag bag. This one I got in the swag bag. This one I ordered because I love these two so much. So this is the Banana Bright Eye Cream and Ole Hendrickson is known for his glow facials and so you can have these glow products at home now. And I had at least three comments after the last video about how my skin was glowing and it's because of these two products right here. So we're going to start with the eye cream. And just so you know, actually let me just say this, with anything around our eyes we want to dab gently. We never want to rub. Just dab gently. My mirror's over here. So before I went to law school, when I first got out of high school, I worked for Estee Lauder. So I have a lot of training in makeup and skincare. I'm going to even this out here. I felt like we spent more time in training with Estee Lauder than we did on the sales floor. And so I do know what I'm talking about here. So again, just dab gently around the eyes. We never rub. So that is the Ole Hendrickson Banana Bright Eye Cream. Here is the moisturizer and I am totally in love with this. I've been using medical grade moisturizer that is about three times the price of this and I can't believe I wasn't using this all along. So I am definitely sold. It gives my skin a glow and I really love it. So I'll let you see the difference. Actually I'm going to put it on one side first and then you can tell. I'll let you look at the difference here. It just has that, just that glow and many of you noticed after the last video and if you can notice on camera, then it must be good. So let me just rub this in really quick on the side of my face. Can you see the difference? The glow difference on this side compared to this side? On camera it's definitely noticeable under my makeup. So let me just put it on the other side as well. And it's a light fragrance. I know some people don't really like having fragrances in their skincare products, but it's a really, really light fragrance. And so I'll just blend that down just a little bit. So there we go. Ole Hendrickson Banana Bright Glow and that's that right there. And again, all of these products will be linked to on screen. So now that we have the base of our moisturizer on, again I am a 100% safe sun person. I wear sunscreen 365 days a year, but the sunscreen I love the most gives my skin a dewy finish. And it is the Skin Better Science Tone Smart sunscreen. So it matches the tone of your skin regardless of what color your skin is. This is the travel size, this is the medium size, and then there's a larger size that I will link to below. All three of these will be linked to below. I think I'm actually, because I use so much of this, I think I'm actually going with the largest size the next time. But this is it. And if you want to try it before you commit to the bigger size, you can just try the travel size first. So I use two pumps for my skin to cover my face. I want to make sure that my skin is completely covered, that there are no gaps in sun coverage, especially with us going into summer right now. So, and I do include the eye area. Again, we dab around the eyes. Do not forget that eye area. And then rub it in. I use a different product on my neck. Because this is colored, I don't want it to get on my shirt and on my clothing. But as you can see, it's starting to, you can start to see the dewy finish that it is giving my skin. So between the Ole Hendrix and Glow product and this for the dewy finish, we have some luminous 51 year old skin here. So let me just blend this in. All right, I'm going to clean my hands off really quickly here. Okay, so I use Saint Makeup. I've been using Saint Makeup for about three years now. And it comes in a palette that looks like this. Everything you need is in these four right here. The foundation shade, the concealer shade, the contour shade, and lip cheek. What I love about Saint is that it's a cream makeup and it sits on top of the skin rather than settling in to the fine lines and wrinkles like liquid foundation does. I worked for Estee Lauder. I am still to this day very tied to those Estee Lauder products. But when I was introduced to Saint, the difference between liquid foundation and cream foundation or cream makeup, once you get it on your skin, the compliments come almost immediately about how luminous you look and how radiant you look. And that's because this sits on top of the skin rather than settling into your fine lines and wrinkles that you get in the midlife years. Now some of you have asked me to try out Jones Road Makeup because it is said to be good for midlife skin as well. I've ordered it and so next week we will compare the two. I'll do one side of my face in Saint and one side of my face in Jones Road. So stay tuned for that as well. Now with Saint, my daily makeup goes on in less than three minutes. It goes on really quickly. Unless I'm on camera, I don't wear eye shadow and I'm not going to put on eye shadow today because it's just not something I wear in my daily makeup. So this is the buff brush. It doesn't come with the starter set. You have to buy this separately but it provides full coverage and in the midlife years I think we need full coverage on our skin. So I'm going to use the small end of the buff brush for the concealer shade which is the lighter shade to go under and around the eyes. And again with the eyes, we dab around the eye area. Just dab. And here is a reminder. So I have almost a million followers across social media in just four years and I can tell you without a doubt, hands down, that beauty trolls are the worst on all of social media. So I'm going to switch out really quick to the foundation shade. It goes all over. That's just the easiest way for me to say it is that it goes all over. And I'm going to use the other edge of the buff brush. So I say that because I'm certain that I will get a lot of negative comments on here. That's just the way beauty trolls are. But here's a reminder. Not only will negative comments get you blocked from this channel but they can also get you blocked from YouTube altogether. So I know 99.9% of our ladies on this channel are wonderful and I love every last one of you because you are gems and thank you. But to that 1% that delight in tearing other women down, there's no place for you on this channel and you will be blocked and there's a chance you'll be blocked from YouTube as well. So this is women supporting other women on this channel. Let's keep it that way. So the foundation shade, you know we've been applying makeup the way Seventeen Magazine told us to do it or showed us to do it all those years ago, whether it was in the 70s or the 80s. Saint wants you to only apply this in certain areas. It's just easiest to apply it all over so that you don't have any gaps and get out in the sunlight and figure out, oh my gosh I don't have any makeup right here in this spot. So it's best just to apply the foundation shade all over. So I'm switching brushes here. This is the brush that I use for contour and it's got a wedge to it. So I use, this is my contour shade right here. All of this comes in the starter palette and I will link, give you my Saint makeup link below as well. So with contour, I start underneath the cheekbone here in the hollow of the cheek and then swipe upward. Here's another reminder from one of the Estee Lauder makeup artists years ago told us, there is no right way or wrong way to apply makeup. There is only the way that you apply makeup. So those of you who think you know or who say you were a professional makeup artist, there's no right or wrong way. There's just the way you apply it. So I swipe upward and then blend downward. Swipe up and then I use the other end to blend down. And then I kind of come along the edge of my jaw here and underneath my lip. And so now we're going to do it on the other side as well. Swipe up and then blend down. And I'm sure you've seen, blend that a little bit more, I'm sure you've seen the Saint makeup way of doing it with the dots. That was a real turnoff for me because there was no way I was going to let my husband see me looking like I had war paint on my face or a bunch of dots. I would never hear the end of that. So I do not do the dot method and I certainly wasn't going to let my son see me with dots all over my face. So I do not do the dot method. Saint makeup does have a makeup map to help you know where to put everything and it's really helpful. So this is generally the basics of Saint makeup. I do have one more because my eyebrows did not survive the 1990s and even though I've been on Minoxidil for 10 months now, Minoxidil has not, it has helped this hair grow back. The hair looks amazing but the eyelashes and eyebrows are 100% unaffected by Minoxidil. And I was actually asking my dermatologist about that and she just said it doesn't help. So I actually use the contour. I'm just using a little wedge brush right here to do my eyebrows and I try to be really gentle because I don't want to look like I have drawn in eyebrows. How's that look? Good enough? Okay. So this is just the basics of Saint makeup here. Usually I would use this lip cheek color right here on my cheeks and my lips but in that 40 pound swag bag from the YouTube Fashion Party, I got a product that I really like and I don't really like touching my finger on my cheek because sometimes it will cause my skin to break out. So I got this Pixi blush stick in that YouTube swag bag and look how easy this goes on. So it goes on just like that and then watch. You just dab it on the top of your cheekbone and you don't even really have to blend it in. I mean if you get it lopsided a little bit you can blend it in but you don't even really have to blend it in. I'll do it again because the way it's shaped, it just goes right to the top of your cheekbone and no blending needed and you can control how much, how much color you want and how much you don't and that's really it and I've been really happy with that. We got it in two colors so maybe we'll try the other color next week but that's the Pixi blush stick and I'll link it below. So two more products we got in that swag bag that I have been absolutely loving is the Ole Henriksen Pout Preserver. It is a lip, what do you call it, powder enhancer, plumper, lip plumper without the tingle because I hate that tingle feeling. I just don't love it and as soon as I put it on my husband commented on how nice it looked but I combine it with another product and it looks like I have lip injections without the expense of lip injections, without the pain of lip injections. So watch how this goes on. So this is just the regular Pout Preserver, goes on just like this and so I want you to watch for the rest of the video of how my lips plump out here but then over that I use the Summer Friday Lip Oil in Bare Sand. So I've been using Summer Friday for a couple of years now but I use the gloss. I've not used the lip oil before and this color is really pretty. Look how these two look together. So you notice how my lips are starting to plump now very quickly. So watch. So see how quickly that Ole Henriksen Pout Preserver is working and then put it with the Summer Friday Lip Oil and wow, looks like I've been fresh from the injector and I haven't at all. So I love these two products together and I will definitely link these for you below. These are my favorites. This is, love these two together. Okay so one of the questions I get about Saint Makeup is, do you need powder with it? I don't wear powder with it. Maybe in July if I get a little bit shiny there's a little vanilla duster powder that comes. These little tins pop out and you can rearrange them and then you know you can build on your, mine's kind of grubby, but you can build on your palette with what you want in it. But one of the products I got in that YouTube swag bag was this, I don't know if I'm saying this right, but Laneige and it is their powder. So it has this little mitt in here and it comes like this. So the powder is separated. The mitt is not staying in the powder all the time and it's green instead of clear. So we're getting to that time of year where we might need a little, just a little touch of powder on the shiny areas. And so it's been really nice to have a separate powder compact that I can just stick in my handbag. And it closes up that like that with a little mirror. So I've been really happy with this product as well. And so that's it. Next week we will try Jones Road on one side of my face and Saint on the other side of my face, and then we'll let you decide.
