Vice President JD Vance is emerging as a
potential contender in the 2028
presidential race. Turning Point USA
Executive Erica Kirk says her
organization would work to help elect
Vance to the White House. Meanwhile,
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ruled
out a potential run for the presidency
if Vance seeks the GOP nomination. Does
the vice president have support from
everyday Americans? Entity Sam Wong was
right outside the White House to hear
from the people. What do you make of the
possibility of JD Vance potentially
running in 2028?
>> I personally would love to see Vance run
in 2028. I like him. I think where he
came from gives him some objectivity
that a lot of political candidates lack
and right now I think the way he's doing
things as vice president has been
positive.
>> I I think it would be an absolute
continuation of the same policies with
maybe uh him being a little more
presidential
>> scary. However, I think following the
present occupant of the White House, I
don't think he has a snowballs chance.
>> We'll be safer as a nation if he does
run and uh he'll continue what's
continuing now.
>> We're only one year into this term. We
got three years left. A lot's going to
change in the next three years. So, JD
Vance possibly a a candidate now, but
again, a lot's going to change over the
next three years. We'll see.
>> We love the the second lady and JD
Vance. Both of them are awesome. And if
they can continue what Trump's doing,
that would be great. Um, there's talk of
Trump doing a third term, that would be
great, too. So, we
>> don't be controversial. The president
said in just two, he's done.
>> Anyway, we need more time to get the
country back on track, for sure.
>> So, what do you think it's going to look
like, let's say, advanced presidency? Do
you think it's going to be like a
continuation of what's happening now?
>> I would expect it'll be a toned down
version of the present uh campaign.
still acidic, but not as acidic as it is
now.
>> What are some of the main aspects of JD
Vans that make you guys want to vote for
him in 2028?
>> He's got a strong character. He doesn't
back down. He knows how to speak. Um,
he's for the Make America Great agenda.
>> He's also a good representation of an
American family. I would like to think
that he would bring back bipartisanship
into this country, which we sorely need.
Uh, I think he's a good Christian. he
can bring back our Christian values.
>> I think you know he has he served which
gives him some credibility I think with
a lot of Americans. He's comes from very
humble beginnings and has some
objectivity about poverty and growing up
in that and the need for support but
also comes from a Christian conservative
background which appeals to a lot of
people. So, I feel like he touches a lot
of areas that a candidate in the past
hasn't really
