YZ500 vs 700cc 2 Stroke vs KX450 Dirt Bike Shootout

In this video we're going to put our very special YZ500 head-to-head against our one-of-a-kind 700cc two-stroke monster. It's time to decide which one of these two beasts is the king of speed. It's drag race time. With our drag races we can't just jump straight into the main event, so I've organized some warm-up bouts for the YZILLA. I've got my friends Alan and Sean on board, we've gathered an array of four-strokes to feed to the beast. The drag strip is ready, so let's get the bike started. Let's get racing. So here we are. I am on board the YZILLA YZ500. You don't know what this bike is. This is a legitimate modern-day Yamaha 500 two-stroke. It's not CR500 engine squeezed into a YZ250 chassis. We turn an ordinary YZ250 into this beast using the awesome brand new BRC Racing YZM500 kit. That's what this bike is. It's an absolute animal, a beast, a gorgeous thing to behold. We're going to give the YZILLA a little bit of a feeding first. We're starting with some four-strokes before we make it up to the big 700 main event. So first up is this KTM 250 EXC. Let's feed it to the beast. Are you ready, Sean? Ready for this, yeah? I'm waiting for the YZILLA. Oh my, I nearly flipped it. I made a terrible start for me there. Just spinning up out of the gates. Bit in the mid-range there. Just pulling, pulling, pulling, pulling, pulling. Managed to get it done. It has to be said that the KTM 250 was worryingly close to the YZILLA in that first bout. Now I do think that's partly because we started with a wet and soggy surface, meaning it was difficult to get the power down on the big 500. But as a wise man once told me, we want results, not excuses. Up next then for the YZILLA, the next item on the menu is the big KX450, ridden by the one and only Alan Joyce. Let's see what our beastie can do against a four-banger race machine from Kawasaki. So the race against the KX450 race bike was almost a dead heat at the finish line. The Kawasaki was very strong at the top end, but the mighty YZILLA was just able to hold on for the win, making it 2-0 for Team Two Stroke. We've got one more four banger ready and waiting to take on the YZILLA, so let's do it. Okay, so now it's 500 versus 500. KTM four stroke versus YZILLA two stroke. Sean Smith has control of the KTM 500 for this one. Let's see if I can beat him in the quarter mile, baby. Luckily we're not racing for pink slips today. The victory! Right, so here we go then. It's the main event. The time for the main event. The YZILLA up against the Megalodon 700 Two Stroke, who will be the king, big boar machine, the champion of speed. We're about to find out. Time for the main event. Seeing as this is the main event, and because these beasts can be so hard to tame out of the gates, we've decided to make this bout a three moto affair. It's a moment we've all been waiting for. Who's your money on? Just destroyed a Megalodon. What happened there? The YZILLA took victory in the first run. Best of three though. So let's see. Victory to the YZILLA for now then. The Megalodon struggling to put power to the ground in a race start. Sean nearly flipped the beast in race one. Can he get the power down and keep the Megalodon under control the second time around? Let's find out. Good run. I don't think the Megalodon can get the power to the ground. But the sun has come out to shine on my glory, on the YZILLA's glory. What a beast. Is this bike really the king of the big boar two strokes? Let's find out. Run three. As we got ready for our third matchup, Sean told me that he had a new game plan. He was going to try a third gear start. Will it work? Well, it's his last chance for glory. Megalodon wins on a dead heat start. So when the Megalodon can put the power to the ground, she's an animal. So in a head-to-head matchup, it was 2-1 to the YZILLA. But as we just saw, the Megalodon is a rocket ship if she can get the power to the ground. So to crown our ultimate champion, we've organised one final race.
