07/08: The Season Of Cristiano Ronaldo | Best Man Utd Goals & Highlights

Ronaldo! Out of this world! Oh, brilliant goal. Cristiano Ronaldo. Oh, it's a beautiful bit of football and it's a stunning finish. He leaves no margin for improvement, this man. Whatever he touches turns the goal. This is astonishing. He is a phenomenon. Kadrou, napping. Ronaldo! 1-0 Manchester United. Mistake by Frank Kadrou. And hasn't Cristiano Ronaldo made him bait? I'm very happy for this. To score the goal and to help the team. You know, you play a few games, you win 1-0. And maybe it's not the best Manchester United in the moment, but the most important is to win. And I think the best is coming. Here's Bruni. And he rolls it into Ronaldo. When they get it right, they are so very, very good. Here come Manchester United now. Really starting to flow with Cristiano Ronaldo. Will you lose count of the stepovers? Oh, that's fantastic from Ronaldo. I think most of the people inside the stadium are still trying to work out quite what he did there. Better angle here. Tries to float it all the way. And Ronaldo's shot it. And just like last season, once again it's Cristiano Ronaldo. It's been a great day. I think the front player's performance today was absolutely marvellous. The movement, the penetration was terrific. That's a smart ball for Evra. And he's turned it in for Ronaldo. And United lead at Arsenal inside the last 10 minutes. It's one quality pass and one great run in behind. Gets him in a great position. And he picks out the right person when he gets there. Ronaldo, goal! He can score them in many ways, but his heading ability is right up there with the best. When this was good enough to stop them breaking through in free play, well there's Ronaldo again, again. Well, he's been selected for a World XI. He's world class. I reminded him in the second half you need to score a hat-trick or get an assist to make it a really good game. He had a good game, but he could have made it really good if he'd done this. But no, he's been fantastic for the last few games he's been playing. And I think it's up to him. I think he's determined to become a top, top, top player for many years. And he works hard in training and you see the results out on the pitch. So long may that continue. I think the most important is to win. If Cristiano scores or doesn't score, I think the most important is the team. We win three points and stay at the top of the table. I think that's the most important. Oh, brilliant goal. Cristiano Ronaldo. Yeah, it's a fantastic finish. What control and technique. Koncicki chased down by Ronaldo, who's brilliant. Koncicki seemed to be the boss until Ronaldo at pace arrived on the scene and just left the left back for dead. This time and a goal. And it's Cristiano Ronaldo again. Carrick looking through the middle for Ronaldo and he rounded off with a fourth. Sahar's over to his left. He's gone down. He gets the penalty. Ronaldo, a cheeky step up, but no Manchester United scoring performance at the moment would be complete without a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo. Here's Ronaldo. Simpson available if he needs him. Cristiano Ronaldo. Oh, it's a beautiful bit of football and it's a stunning finish. Something we've come used to with Cristiano Ronaldo. And Ronaldo delivers. It's just quite simply a brilliant penalty. You just don't stop that. It's Ronaldo and it's absolutely top draw. He is the top scorer in the Premier League. It's now 12 for this so gifted footballer. There's Brown for Manchester United. That's a lovely ball by Sahar as well. Ronaldo well placed in the middle. Oh, splendid goal. He's on a hot streak at the moment, this boy. 18 goals in his last 18 games. Into Tevez. Turn on for Ronaldo. Oh, beautiful play. Completely Fox Birmingham and Tevez finds the finish. Absolutely wonderful stuff from Manchester United. Great vision, great skill. Backfield to Tevez. The body language from Ronaldo says it could well be him. It's Cristiano Ronaldo. And that is 20 goals for the season. Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo. Wonderful football. Cut by an exquisite finish. That was pure class. The header clear. Drops for Ronaldo. Lovely disguise. Lovely finish. Cristiano Ronaldo seals his hat-trick. Well, it's fantastic. I'm feeling very proud. First goal, my first hat-trick. It's amazing days. They're now top of the table. I think the team played fantastic. And you need to keep going like that. Here's Murti. Smith kicked it. Now surely Manchester United will get the break right this time. Rooney's got to check. Otherwise he'll be offside. Ronaldo just runs past him. He can put it on a plate for Rooney. But he puts it in himself. He's got his goal. His 17th in the Premier League this season. And Ronaldo in a position here. Oh, so cool. So calm. So confident. I don't think on this type of free kick his conversion rate's brilliant. But every now and again, one just flies in the top corner. And that was one of them. Unbelievable. I'm glad I covered myself at the end there, Al. He's a gift from heaven, isn't he? He is truly a gift from heaven. From that distance, he's going to hit them. And it's a marvellous hit. Even yesterday in training, there was five or six of them all practising free kicks. And it's a delight to see. Because we can then let them go on with it. We go back in, go and have a cup of tea. Let them whack the balls in. I think it's terrific to see. Can you recall seeing a better free kick in the Premiership? I don't. No, that is without a doubt. It must be the best. I've just watched it on television. It's within two or three inches of the junction of the crossbar and post. There's no goalkeeper who can possibly save it. Now, getting this position, I'm always thinking something's going to happen. It's Ronaldo. It's Rooney! It's 1-0. Cristiano Ronaldo, the nemesis at Old Trafford last month. The supplier for Rooney this time. That's a wonderful run by Cristiano Ronaldo. And there was never any doubt. Irresistible. And Rooney's in. Ronaldo! Derby hearts are broken in the final. That really is an outstanding finish. And you have to say that Ronaldo makes it all look rather easy. Nani's corner. Ronaldo with the header. Ronaldo with the hit! And the goal! It's not taken him long. Manchester United breakthrough after eight minutes at Old Trafford. Ronaldo. Oh, staggering. Just staggering. He leaves no margin for improvement this man. He's making all the headlines for himself. His performances and goals are telling you that. I said last year that he was the best player in the world. I hope that Ronaldo this year is challenging for that. That one hasn't stayed all of the season. And his goal a game record in starts in the Premier League. Ronaldo! Out of this world. 26 league goals. He is a phenomenon. Ronaldo right. There's a cue. There's a big cue. It's Tevez! And it's two. Another flick from Ronaldo. It's Rooney! This is football from the dream factory. This is astonishing. He's got the chance to make a men's here. It's Rooney! It's four. They just make it look way too easy. But once again, they've turned on the style. I see the replay on television. It's a good goal. I never scored one goal like that. I'm very, I'm very happy. Was it deliberate? Yes. Some people say it's lucky, but I'm not great like that because I do the movements. I do quick movements. I think it's fantastical. Just over the head of Ronaldo. Comes for Michael Carrick. And the opening goal is scored by Ronaldo. 37 for the season now. They're level. Arsenal's lead lasted less than six minutes. Though in familiar style, and in familiar style, he scored. If he gets a sighting of goal, he usually scores. Hargreeves. That's dangerous. Would you believe it? He scored again! Having scored the first goal, when you scored the second one, did it hit you? Or did you score? I did the movement. It's a good, fantastic, and I helped the team today again. But the most important is the result. If you're in the next game, you'll be champion. Ronaldo. Up against Calacios. Rooney. Might have got a break. Parcheesang. Scholes is up there. Penalty! And Manchester United, after half an hour, have the chance from 12 yards to take the lead here against Wigan. It's Ronaldo against Kirkland. Maybe to put the title in touching distance. 1-0! An extraordinary player. An extraordinary season. And Manchester United are closing in. Has been one of the great finishes in the Barclays Premier League. It is a Manchester United team that has written their name in the history books. My teammates helped me a lot. Gave me great confidence. And I scored. But I think you need to speak about the team. I think the team played very good and we deserve to win. I think we are the best team in the Premier League.
