Cristiano Ronaldo continued to showcase his exceptional talent as a forward while playing for Manchester United in the English Premier League. His performances were outstanding, contributing significantly to the team's success during that period. Ronaldo's impressive statistics and achievements in the 2008-2009 season include:
Ronaldo, working with Park. Still Cristiano Ronaldo, played on his feet that time.
Steve Merchant like Ronaldo on the ball. Oh brilliant, brilliant.
Disunited, but here's Ronaldo.
That was not the best of passes, too short for Palacios.
Ronaldo, he's got Tevez with him. Lovely change of direction too quick for...
You're going to get kicked here Cristiano, you'd better watch yourself son.
You've got to be very careful.
Rooney to Ronaldo.
And Ronaldo stumbles over Beletic.
He comes back for more, takes him down.
Giggs, Ronaldo, as they try to put together a counter-attack here.
And Ronaldo, referee absolutely on the spot.
To Ronaldo, easily away from Pedersen.
Now Warnock's got the problem.
Into that little pocket of space behind Tottenham's midfield.
Ronaldo, foot on the gas, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pedersen, Ronaldo.
Now Samba exposed.
Straight to Ronaldo, Ronaldo's going on a run.
Away from York, away from Juve.
Still he's going on.
Free kick.
Sunderland claiming that he dived.
He didn't dive.
Change obviously, watch.
Rooney on the left.
Lovely little ball in.
They had to score, they have scored inside.
It is, Ronaldo.
For Ronaldo to think about it.
Absolutely sensational.
It went through Almeria.
Does go for goal.
Oh, Sorensen, what a mistake.
Sorensen couldn't keep it out.
And Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo.
Rolling away from Muntari.
Here's Evra.
Rooney's been very much involved so far in this game.
As has Ronaldo.
Skips away from two challenges.
Bringing the oohs and ahhs from the Japanese side.
Go and meet the ball.
Brilliant skill.
From Ronaldo past Robson.
Ronaldo.
Ronaldo takes on Griffin.
Griffin doesn't know where he is.
And Sorensen gets very lucky there.
Neville picks it off.
Ronaldo effortlessly away from McManus.
Finding only Anderson.
Ronaldo is on the move here.
Giroud matching him stride for stride.
Pulled back towards Park.
Gives slips.
It's Jisung Park.
Historically here.
And here now is the world's best player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fist across the face of goal.
And Manchester United haven't taken long to pick up.
Here's Ronaldo again.
Ronaldo on a hat-trick.
Of course.
Rooney.
Ronaldo in space.
Bearing down on goal.
Ronaldo.
Back here.
Magnificent.
By extravagance.
There's Evra.
Play ball between King and Giovanni.
Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now Evra's across.
Not as quickly as Ronaldo.
There's Rooney.
Jisung Park.
Rooney's got some space to his left.
Here is Wayne Rooney.
Ronaldo's getting up with him.
Rooney has found Ronaldo.
How about that?
End of the field to the other.
In the blink of an eye.
Cristiano Ronaldo scores for the side here.
Ronaldo.
Three waiting in the box.
By Ferdinand.
Ronaldo on the run.
This is what the substitution does bring.
Chance of a break here.
He's got Rooney to the right.
Very sharply.
Rooney's made a run.
Both brilliance and blunder the Brazilian.
Gibson.
Ronaldo.
Cristiano.
Showing terrific energy.
He glides away and he finds Ronaldo.
Tevez is in the centre.
There's Tevez.
He heads it to his left foot.
It's a goal.
Ronaldo.
Rooney stretched.
Kerik was in there.
Ronaldo's got a lot of room.
Too much room.
Chelsea's liking.
It's Rooney.
Nice little skip by Ronaldo again.
It's Ronaldo.
Took a save from Boric.
Tevez is there again.
Ronaldo.
For an initial shot.
Rooney, Rooney.
Ronaldo drifts away from De Laat.
He plays the ex-centre forward nodding knowingly in their living rooms right now saying goalkeepers get two.
The players who don't really look a gift horse in the mouth in the same way.
Ronaldo.
Brilliant.
Is he going to end the afternoon with a free kick?
Yes, he is.
Done it again.
Cristiano Ronaldo.
It's Ronaldo.
Struck it well.
High in those boots.
Still he goes.
To Berbatov.
Ronaldo says leave it to me.
Off he goes.
In the Porto starting line-up.
Cristiano Ronaldo starting on the left for Manchester United.
Will he accelerate here?
He has done.
He stayed on his feet until the end and over says the referee.
How did you work that out?
Ronaldo.
Alex Ferguson just wanted an away goal.
Here is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Round the back is Giggs.
Ronaldo takes on Griffin.
Ronaldo's coming in.
Goes for Rooney.
Goes for Manchester United.
Rooney in advance.
Park coming up on this right as well.
Ronaldo.
There's a jump to Park.
Amazing save Schwarzer.
Rooney.
Schwarzer denies.
Manchester.
Here's Ronaldo.
Tevez.
Face of the post and away.
Fletcher.
Lovely fit by Ronaldo.
Berbatov.
Saved by Bullock.
Nice space to open it.
That's where he's found it difficult at home.
Ronaldo.
And wedge for Karic.
Ball for Manchester United here.
Berbatov.
And for Ronaldo.
And it's got away.
Not the goal.
But then they watch the way the movement of the ball.
Stepped by Carvalho.
It was a poor ball to him.
Ronaldo.
He can certainly hit a ball.
It's a very, very sloppy piece of play.
Ronaldo.
Oh, it's a really good plunging save by Julio Cesar.
He wants for a free kick, Ronaldo.
This is a bit further out.
It's a good effort.
Gorky was lost in again.
And away by Gorky.
Still going here.
Plays it.
Ronaldo.
It's five.
It is Manchester United.
And there's Karic.
Ronaldo.
Somebody shoot.
Ronaldo.
What a strike.
Ronaldo with a header.
Yet again against Middlesbrough.
It's Ronaldo.
Flashes there.
Ronaldo.
Giggs with the corner kick.
Towards Ronaldo.
Ronaldo.
He's certainly having a go for it.
Inside the last five minutes before halftime.
Manchester United finding their stride.
Here's Cristiano Ronaldo.
Dancing.
Ronaldo.
Pressure.
Presented it to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Possession in the middle of midfield with that extra man.
When they get it.
I think Alex Ferguson knows he's got to get a discipline from him.
And he will trail any of the runs that Maicon makes.
And he loves it.
Well, here we go.
Ronaldo.
Fluent.
Unusual.
Certainly was the case.
The swimmer.
He was a swimmer just in case he doesn't win.
Just another goal by Stewart.
Ronaldo.
He's going to hit this as well.
He does this time.
Sorensen.
Saves.
He might just hit it now.
Tennis up top.
Park down below us here.
You see on the left side.
In front of the back four.
But get away.
Two Berberts off.
Buzz last.
Ronaldo.
Notion tonight.
Evans and Ferdinand.
Ronaldo.
Skipped the first challenge.
Certainly versatile squad.
Manchester United.
Ronaldo.
Hang on a run.
Still maintains possession.
Ronaldo.
And shoots.
Wow.
Ronaldo.
Ronaldo steps away from Tugay.
Manchester United have got Middlesbrough pretty much where they want them now.
Kicks with the corner.
Saved on the line by Julio Cesar.
A real thriller.
Here's Ronaldo.
He'll try one.
And Brad Friedel who equals the Premier League record today.
Here's Evra.
Ronaldo.
Into the last 30 seconds we go.
Ronaldo.
Inside is Suakoto.
The second.
Ronaldo takes the penalty.
Again.
Ronaldo with him.
Great ball.
Ronaldo's through here.
He can wrap it up for United.
And does.
Terrific finish.
Through to Berbertov.
Can he keep it in?
Oh, magnificent skill from Berbertov.
Ronaldo.
Closed out by Kamil Zayati Degunay.
And here's Cristiano Ronaldo.
It hasn't taken him long.
Well, Giggs is in here.
Giggs.
Plays in Ronaldo.
It's just magnificent.
Cristiano Ronaldo.
Revisits to Old Trafford.
Not yet.
Oh, Ronaldo.
Cristiano.
Inside Puyol.
Pursued by Ronaldo.
Had the breaks that Celtic haven't.
Ronaldo.
A little bit of Gale.
He's up for it.
Evans, not Vidic at centre-back.
Park on the wing.
Here's Ronaldo.
And his reaction suggests adjacent.
Ronaldo.
Away from Zanetti.
Some keepy-uppy.
Ronaldo to rescue.
Balls, Radar's back on track.
Both of which the replay suggests should not have stood.
Not for long.
Still in play.
Couple of tricks, then the cross.
Ronaldo.
A move for a trick or two.
Park.
Here goes Ronaldo.
Stretching Giroud.
He has support.
Ronaldo will go it alone and that's a...
Ronaldo.
Bounce back off the keeper who barely...
Ronaldo.
Well, I'm very, very surprised.
Forced the ball.
Fletcher.
Here is Ronaldo.
Be there to remind them.
First half.
Ronaldo.
A shake.
Ronaldo.
Close to signing once when he left.
Pretty quickly.
Pretty comfortably.
Fabio.
Towards Ronaldo.
21st.
And now the break is on for Manchester United with Ronaldo.
Rooney sprinting through the middle.
Park is forward as well.
Villa, diligent in defence.
Certainly in terms of numbers.
4-2.
Lost in the Maracana.
By three goals to...
Quite grown up.
But he was totally unmarked in the middle of the penalty area.
Ronaldo is dangerous when he has so much time to...
To find...
Fineness over Martin Petersen.
It's a good game.
And he scores at Wembley.
