Idaho Ice Skating Feels Like a Hallmark Movie

What's up, guys? Welcome back to Aot Adventures. >> Hello. >> We are in Indian Creek in Caldwell and uh they have a nice ice rank. You can see the um uh the creek behind us called Indian Creek. Uh this is very famous because they for Christmas day after Thanksgiving, actually not day, they did it last week. Put all the lights up. They created an ice rink in the square and uh they turned it up just a few days ago. So people are you know you know uh doing ice skating and uh there's a bar. There's a bar on the other end of the ice rink. So we're going to go ahead and uh >> you have to show >> Yeah, we will show you everything. All right, let's go. We're going to we're going to do what Katya says. >> Yeah, let's go. >> Okay. So, here we go. Going to do a little tour. >> Let's go this way. Katya. >> All right. This is Indian Creek and it's very nice cuz it's got a many restaurants surrounding it. Uh, one brewery called The White Dog, which is where we were. We had three IPAs. That's why it might seem a little tipsy, which is okay. Um, and then we Here we go. Here's the ice ring. This is kind of the the center. >> Okay. >> Here's the center. >> Katya is the center. >> I'm joking. Okay. So, here's the ice rink. So, here's where you can put your shoes when you get your new uh skates. And here's what it costs. So, for general admission is uh $15 if you're under five, seven, and uh the skate pass is $8. So, basically $23 for someone over five. And I don't know how long you can skate for, >> honey. Let's go this way. Let's go this way. Let's go that way. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, this is actually a real skate uh ice ring. It's got frozen ice. Oh, look in the middle. You got fire pit >> so you can hang out if you get cold right over there. Right next to the >> Wow. >> Gotcha. Do you want to Do you want to Do you want to uh skate? >> No. You You don't want to skate? Oh, look at this. >> Slippery. Oh, we got a a fire pit here uh this evening. These little these heaters will turn up. >> Let's go to see that bird. >> Oh, yeah. And there's a uh a bar up there. But look at this. This is nice. And this is a the day before Thanksgiving. Pretty awesome. >> $23 if you don't have skates. So that's actually a good deal. New York City would be over $100. And again, this is in Caldwell, Idaho. >> Oh, look. You got a They got a truck named after the plaza. Indian Creek Plaza. Actually, don't know the origins of this, but very nice. She's taking pictures. Nice. Let's go this way. >> And up there is where the bar is. I don't know if it's open now. Let's go. Actually wouldn't mind living in Caldwell in right in the center. train there. >> Oh, yeah. We got a train there. Okay. All right. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go up here. >> Yeah. Look at that. There's actually a yogurt flakes o over there. They charge just for a a normal cup of yogurt like $12. Unbelievable. I don't go there anymore. Okay. All right. So, here's the the bar lounge area of Indian Creek. Pretty cool. Look, you got some chairs here. You know, overlooking the ice rink. Very impressive. Like it. Oh, she fell. Now, if I fell, I would feel it for a month. Well, maybe not for a month, but for for a couple days. Yeah. Awesome. Okay, so we got they got Christmas trees here. Very festive. Very festive. And grant you, this is the day before Thanksgiving. So everything, there's nothing Thanksgiving about this. It's all about Christmas. Look, letters to Santa. Awesome. Actually, this same mailbox I saw in Rekavik um probably about 10 years ago. And the bar is not open cuz this is the bar. So you got I don't know how many Christmas tree you have. want. You have like probably 10 15 Christmas trees. The heaters are not up. Look, you got the big screen TV. This is probably about uh 500 500 in TV. And we have a looks like a fireplace with all the wood. It's probably fake though. Yeah. But it's nice. It's nice. Ho ho ho ho. >> Yeah. All right. Here's the other side of the uh Indian Creek Plaza truck. What? All right. Okay. So, let's go out. Okay.
