So here's certainly one of my most used warm-up exercises, breathing exercises with my students.
We do this in practically every lesson I'd say. Simply breathe in, bring the shoulders up to the
ears, hold briefly and exhale. Let's try it together again. Inhale, shoulders to the ears,
build some tension and exhale. As you hold the breath you might want to build tension in all
areas of your body that you can, you know, legs, hands, wrists, everything. Build, build, build and
then release. It's also a very deeply relaxing exercise. So it's a breathing exercise and a
relaxation exercise together and a focus one you could say. So let's breathe in again over four
beats. Hold, tense up everything and it's good really to let the body sink down as you exhale
just to fortify that message of I am releasing, I'm relaxing. Give it a try for the next few days.
