Rosehip Oil Lip Balm💋Easy To Follow Recipe Tutorial From Rose Bush To Jar🌹

Hello everyone. Hi guys, welcome back. Welcome back to our channel, home is where our heart is. I'm Stelly and I'm Dane and today we're going to teach you how to make some rose hip lip balm. Oh my god it's such a good recipe guys, really really easy. We're going to use these amazing rose hips. We're going to create a rose hip oil and then infuse it with cocoa butter so it becomes a lip balm. Great for an easy lip balm for yourself and also for Christmas presents. So come with us and we'll show you how to make it. Easy peasy. So to identify a wild rose hip they grow on the rose bush and these ones are dog rose and they've got these thorns that run all the way along the branches so just be careful when you're picking them not to get too spiked and they're bright red and they're oval shaped and the amazing part is if you squeeze them you get this bright orange squish I call it and that is packed full of vitamin c. It's amazing, smells so sweet and in our lip balm you can really smell the rose hip coming through, it's delicious. So you can just eat this when you're out foraging, it's delicious. So we have our rose hips, our one cup of rose hips and now we're going to show you how to turn these lovely berries into this amazing smelling lip balm and we are home. Welcome back guys, let's make some rose hip oil lip balm. For this recipe you will need one cup of rose hips and one cup of organic cocoa butter. First thing you do is turn your oven on to its highest heat. Next step we're going to make ourselves a bain marie, this is really easy guys, you get one large pan, pour in some boiling water about a quarter of the way, pop your smaller pan on top and the heat from the water is going to melt our cocoa butter. If we just put the cocoa butter straight into a pan straight on the hob the cocoa butter might burn, so this is a great way to stop it from burning. We're going to measure out a cup of cocoa butter, oh my god I can just eat it, it's so nice. So turn your hob on to a medium heat and then pop in your cocoa butter, it smells so good. Okay guys it's very hot on the bottom but also a bit wet so I just want to give it a wipe so that when we pour it into our cup we don't get any water drips coming through. So I can see there we've only got about half a cup's worth which means we need to add more into our bain marie. So the same process again just be really careful because the pan is hot hot hot but we get rid of the water because if water drops into our lip balm it can make it very nice. Okay so now we've got our lovely cup of cocoa butter, take your cup of rose hips and add them to an ovenproof dish and then cover them in the oil. Now what we're going to do is squish up the rose hips in the oil, you can also use a potato masher if you like to. So once you've given them all a good old squish, you don't have to squish every single one but as many as you can, you then have to submerge them in the oil. We want them all underneath the oil and if you see any big air bubbles pop them, we don't want air bubbles we just want rose hips submerged in oil just like that. Now turn your oven off, open it up, pop in your rose hips and oil, close it and leave it for three to four hours. Four hours later, so the oven's been completely off for four hours, it's actually a little bit warm in there, oh my god, it actually smells like dark chocolate and raspberries, that really luxury smell, so good. So now we've created our beautiful rose hip infused oil with all its medicinal properties, it's time to strain it. So take yourself a piece of fabric and then pour your oil onto it so we can filter out all the rose hips and just get pure oil. Give each bit a squish, you want to get every single bit of oil back out of the rose hip fruits. Once you've squished as much oil as you can through, behold your rose infused oil creation. Now all we do is just pour it in to some little lip balm pots, so that's given us about three and then we've got plenty more in there and now we just pop them in the fridge. And there we have it, rose hip oil infused lip balm, packed full of all the goodness of rose hips into a lovely lip balm and it smells amazing, it's like fruity delicious chocolate with the cocoa butter, delicious, smells amazing, it's so good. Guys please make this at home and then give it away as Christmas presents because it's so nice, it's so so nice and it's made out of the beautiful bounty of nature. Yes it was great today picking the rose hips because we went out on the fresh day and it was just really nice to all be together and enjoying that time so do get out there and gather some rose hips, they're in abundance at the moment, it's the best time of year to get them just before Christmas and get yourself some cocoa butter, you can get it online if the local shops don't have it near you, organic is best and just make it up to ingredients, there you go.
