Was $600 Tesla tires worth it? Suredrive Firestone

All right, screw it I did it I couldn't find a video I was trying to find a video on these short drive tires And I couldn't find anybody that has them on the tesla There is one guy that did post one where he was on uh, ev volt or something like that But I wanted to see anybody with the tesla. So, okay. So before Anything well, I have no idea what any of that is Um, okay. So let me backtrack a little bit I had no idea about tires when I got the tesla. I didn't know it had to be a specific tire You know, I just thought you could just throw in normal tires um, so anyways, I every time I get a used vehicle I tend to Wear them out as much as I can in the first year If not at least the six months because I usually do get them replaced regardless Just because I don't know how much Um, you know where or unbalancing and whatever whatnot and miles and did they get them rotating and balancing and blah blah most of the time um They're not balanced. That's what I did with my My mustang I balanced I got the tires. I fixed the dang top and But yeah, so we're talking about the tesla So I got this bad boy knowing that I was gonna probably spend at least a thousand dollars on it These are some of the little cleaning materials that I have um for the entire car Actually, I kind of carried this in the car so I could always keep the car clean So anyways, the sure drive tires were already installed in the car. So I literally didn't feel anything crazy on them They were already kind of worn out I think they were at fours and the reason why I got that check was so that way we can be Be prepared for our trip to the grand canyon And everything went fine everything was good. So, um, what I did was I went to go get them checked Look, there's some some of this like residue Stuck on my rim. I don't know I tried everything. I think I might just have to do something new so Anyways, I go to discount tire and they quoted me a ten ten thousand and ten bucks And then um, so I was like I wasn't really down to spend that much I'm gonna do a big trip later on in this year. So I didn't want to go that crazy Plus I didn't factor in that budget just yet. And what I did have was a macbook pro that I am saving up for So I had to take it out from from that budget. So I wanted to be you know, try to keep it cheaper So I found these sure drives. They're about like a hundred and something per tire Um out the door was like 406, but of course when you do the quote thing online It's never going to be that price. There's always some other fee warranty certificates Disposing fee, I don't know what else they did. Um So yeah Anyways, my total came out to about six hundred and thirty dollars with installation and and all the other stuff that they do But I say really do When you do do them at firestone Make sure you call them what I like to do I like to call and just double check if they worked on the car I did have another firestone that said that they do do it And as soon as I got there it was all negative bad experience, but the one that I did take it to was good especially when you know that the the maintenance guy The tire technician is a tesla owner. So, you know, he's got to be a little bit more familiar. Hopefully With the way the cars are and and then you got the covers and all but overall my experience with these tires was pretty good The price felt good on top of that too. I don't drive crazy. I'm not peeling out I did do it on the first, you know the first month on the other tires And then yeah, so here's the front bumper i'm showing it because um, there's like this like paint chipping So I kind of covered it up with some black, uh pre-cut Whatever wrap which I got it from uh, tesla bros. Tesla. Tesla bros. I think it's great It's wonderful, especially if you don't have the paint chipping I just wanted to put that on there as a temporarily fix for now Because that's another expense repainting the front bumper is another like 900 bucks So yeah for 600 I got these sure drives they're these are like super super brand new Um here in my back. I'm just showing that I do carry mainly like cleaning supplies and I do Okay, so I did have a nail in the tire, which is another reason why I got them exchanged or uh swapped out I got a nail in the tire and all the tools I had in the car were weren't really like working with it and I really don't even have any tools in the car because Usually on my gas powered cars. I do carry a bunch of tools everything everything especially with the engine and little parts like that, but here I haven't really had to do anything but Um, just clean really it's just really cleaning it. And um, of course if there's a flat I would use my insurance, but I do have like this fixaflex, but now fixaflex, but now that I Kind of like looked over it. I don't it's one of those cigarette lighter Connectors, I don't know if the tesla has a cigarette lighter thing. So i'm gonna have to double check that Because then i'm carrying this like flat kit for no reason So yeah, um, I have had them before they were on the car before I didn't have any problem with it They were pretty bad. They were down to a one And I did get them replaced. There's some rust in here I'm trying to get i'm trying to clean these really good as much as I can i'm trying to get all that dirt out, especially that You don't really get to clean this often with the covers on And me personally I kind of dig this style. Like it looks really cool. I love it, especially with that little caliber Um painted red I bet that I think that would look really cool. I got these little air valve covered or little valve colors Man, believe it or not. They took it They took the one that I had on here because I was going to put them all but I was too lazy So I finally did put them all on Luckily they did ship with some extra ones, but I know they took it. Why would they just take one single one? I don't know. I didn't really it didn't bug me that much but just know that I know that that I know, you know So yeah Uh, I don't see anything wrong. I'm gonna you know post an update later on. Uh, let's see. What's up I did end up getting the warranty without the warranty it'll come down to like 550 550 you can get a 550 without warranty and yep.
