Ludvig Åberg's best shots from his debut DP World Tour season in 2023.
Ah Ludwig Eberg who has been the talk of town over the last few weeks hasn't he making quite
an impression having just turned pro over on the PGA Tour. Luke Donald said
he has the wow factor and look at that that is a bit of a wow isn't it.
Really? No.
He made this into this pin.
He is living up to the hype isn't he Ludwig Eberg.
Simplicity of this is amazing he just clubbed behind the ball and off he goes
and it's absolutely there's a future of a hole-in-one and it's just magnificent.
If you blink with Eberg you miss it 146 a bit of a jumper but he can go between the trees.
I don't think he plays rugby but if he's good at it needs to pitch the upslope and does.
Yes he does have it all. Well we've just seen two incredible golf shots right there.
Yes he got a little lucky to have a shot through the trees but a little
little wry smile. I mean look at this to get the ball to to get any shape on that
but he's pitched it in the perfect spot on the upslope take the pace out of it.
9.5 out of 10. See his shoes disappearing in the grass so it's pretty dense down there.
He seems to play it beautifully wow what a moment that is for Ludwig Eberg 11 under par.
11 under that's good enough for a tie for sixth at the moment what a recovery.
Three twos on his card today no wonder he's all smiles.
Well you gotta ask a lot of questions about a young man you haven't seen as a pro before
though his amateur career is immaculate that answers a lot of questions doesn't it.
Oh there'll be sparks flying off here today Richard this won't be running up this will be
flying all the way. Well I'm impressed already Richard yes just a touch right about six feet
coming up. I hope that this ball pops up in the air and pitches halfway up the green.
I've always had a bunch 147 I feel down this right got a great angle to attack with a pin on 22.
So 168 from Leffer we're going for Aubert aren't we Don. Well let's do that shall we let's try and
be consistent at least. Oh well anything you can do look at that. Quite a square stance picks it up
beautiful shot made that look very easy. Just over 120 for Eberg back pin that's always a
challenge can you get it past it it's a much easier putt from that side. Absolutely superb
good angle from there skidded forward with plenty of backspin what a joy isn't it. Oh I mean he's
he's so good it's a it's a beautiful action to watch as well isn't it. Nothing to go wrong
and he's got that clupping speed to go with it. Feels like we're in for a real
treat launches this week for many weeks to come.
And here he is the man of the moment from the perfect spot and a perfect shot even better.
Goodness me he's just made Luke Donald's job an awful lot easier.
Eberg needs to settle the ship a couple of bogeys to start with admittedly difficult holes but
how he'd love to knock one in close here and make a two and get things moving in the right direction.
Oh and he's done just that right down the flag. This was a seriously gutsy shot it's not a flag
you want to go past. Great bounce back. It certainly is a little bit of breeze off the left helping this.
He's having a go with it. No that's not going either though is it.
Give it a chance hold on let it finish let it finish.
Squeeze wedge or maybe taking a few yards off an iron.
A shot of the highest quality. That's how big the slope is. Just in there quick.
Mention there's been one birdie all day. Take a three here, tuck it away,
put it on the card and clear off to the 18th. Once again the eyes are going up and down for
Obert. Sensational iron shot for the talented Swede. You're a bit of a golf geek Wally aren't
you? I mean you love studying and are we watching the future of golf here with Eberg? Oh yeah both
of them. Put a great chance maybe just moving a little left. Yeah he had the pace didn't he?
He probably learned a little bit from his playing partners putt there.
Surprised he's chipping this. I think if you you hit a putt you can't hold it so I can see it but
he can chip this boy let me tell you.
He can chip this boy right there going like an express train right to the heart of the cup.
What a bonus because that was going to go six feet by two on the card.
He's got 45 picks now. Yeah he's doing well. Eberg he's played that nicely.
Look at that what a beauty. Take that one up. Tee shot here on the par 315. Try and work a little
fade if you can. Heart of the green just edging ever closer towards the flag but
oh or just you know straight out it's fine it's fine. Who needs a ball follow when you
can just have pin view with him. We're going at the 11th. Flag in the back right just up the
little tier so difficult to get to I was about to say but clearly not for Ludwig.
Not with that golf game. Tee shot from Eberg 195.
A bit more than a 7 iron for him. Great chance for a three. It looks like it's right at it too.
Easy game. He's good to watch isn't he? Look at Soderbergh just to take the lead straight in.
Shelling peas comes to mind. This is a tough bunker shot at the second for Eberg.
That was a poor bunker shot as well. Maybe it wasn't a great lie but we saw McElroy's similar
line. You know it's off the right it's at least two cups right. This looks a better line. Yes
baby there you go. He's at that point now I think he's just enjoying this experience.
Into the slip. A lot of trouble back down towards the hole.
Shot this I think to get it close. You'd want to be going in with wedge. It's a tight flag.
Man those are two fine shots. Those are fantastic. Not too bad. Yeah nice position.
Lovely action. Get the distance right. He certainly can. It's a great day for him today
playing with McElroy. I've never played much golf with him in the Ryder Cup coming up.
It's a feed right at the end I think and it's quick. To watch another DP World Tour video
